Stone Feather Farm

Without a doubt, the single worst restaurant I’ve ever been too. The 22 dollar burrito was average sized (not giant as was on the menu) and filled with what tasted like overcooked, unseasoned, frozen vegetables. It was downright terrible. The worst thing ordered that day, however, was my sister’s chili. It tasted like a can of tomato sauce had been poured into the bowl, heated up, and had a touch of vinegar added just to make it even more acidic and less appetizing. Food took far too long. Server actually WALKED AWAY while we were talking to her. (It’s not even as if we were yelling at her or even criticizing her; but when she asked how we all liked our food we simply said that we didn’t.) In short: restaurant was messy, service was terrible, food was disgusting and way overpriced. We wound up paying, leaving our food, and going somewhere else.

Found this place to be mediocre and ovrerpriced. It cost me $ 30 for two chili dogs and ice tea. They were grilling for their one year anniversary so we didn’t know the price of the specials. We sat outside and flies were everywhere. I did not like the homemade chips. They were flaky and not crisp. Almost like fried pie crust chips. I was charged $ 2 for a small ketchup sized cups for jalapenos for my chili, yet they didn’t bring out sour crème and cheese which was advertised in the menu. The «mexican» entrees looked mediocre at best but we didn’t try them. I won’t be going back.

We went to Harper’s Ferry this weekend, hadn’t been there in several years, and ate at an old stone house made into a restaurant called Stone Feather Farm right on the main street. It was very quaint and full of charm and character. But the best part of it was the FOOD. Everything was fresh fresh fresh and pretty much made to order. The guacamole and salsa were both delicious! I got the chicken El Jefe burrito which was also very tasty. If you’re looking for great mexican food in a historical, family friendly area you must stop here.
