Fantastic ice cream shop! I had a Pumpkin Sundae(pumpkin ice cream, Carmel, cinnamon pecans, whipped cream an a cherry) and it was superb! The whole family enjoyed their treats. We saw on their Facebook page about cinnamon apple coming out, so we will definitely be back! For the sizes you get, the prices are great! A small cone is two huge scoops. Order a kid size if you can only handle one heaping scoop.

Service is always fast and accurate, even when the parking lot is completely full and line has over 20 people in it. Always friendly and I never feel rushed no matter how busy it gets!

3B ice cream is the best… I sometimes wonder about these negative reviews because you can’t get any better than 3B… Maybe the negative reviews are from people who own or work for another ice cream place… and they will do anything to down the competition. jmo

We visited the Colonial Rd location tonight. They do take credit cards for payment. The portions are large but the prices are typical to other places I have visited. They serve hard and soft ice cream. There is a wide variety of hard ice cream favors. My large Sundae cost $ 5. Comes with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. There aren’t a lot of topping options. I had strawberry. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Those who I Traveled with enjoyed their selections as well. Lastly, the staff was friendly in their service. There will be long lines on warm nights.

My family and I love 3Bs. We’ve been going for years. The portions are HUGE. I always Order a kid size and it is plenty. Chocolate peanut butter, butter pecan, and graham slam are some of our top picks. Although they really serve Turkey Hill Ice cream that you can buy for much cheaper at the store, it is fun to get a cone from a nice Cream shop. There are three locations– Halifax/dauphin, Derry St, and Colonial road. My only complaint is the customer service. I realize these are teenagers working a summer job– but not long ago I was a teenager working a summer job. I was taught better and was expected to treat customers with respect and courtesy. A smile, please, and thank you go along way.

Terrible customer service! I asked the man(wearing camo cargo shorts) a simple question about the milkshakes and he snapped at me with an answer. Then when I paid and said thank you he literally just turned around and walked away. No thank you or come back soon or anything. While I want to support small local businesses, the staff and service at Baskin Robbins right down the street is much friendlier. I might pay a little more, but at least they are appreciative of my business. Being new to the area, and an ice cream fanatic, I will sadly never return.

If you are looking for large portions on a hot day go here! A kids sized cup/cone will cost you about $ 3.35 after taxes but there is nothing kiddy about the amount. The amount of ice cream they give you will help you understand obesity in America. Please be aware there are several flying creatures that probably bite so be on the lookout and keep small kids away from the ice cream pavilion. They have a wide range of hand-dipped flavors as well as a few basic soft serve flavors vanilla, chocolate etc.) The ice cream was ok I’ve had better but I am sure a lot of places have worse. There are picnic tables scattered around but there is no shaded seating so if you’re looking for shade prepare to sit in your car. Lastly, I hear the banana split is HUGE — as in large enough for two adults and three children to share, which I don’t doubt considering the kid size I received today. Worth a stop if you are in the area!

The small cone was HUGE, like 3 scoops huge, and I liked the flavor– vanilla with salted caramel and chocolate covered pretzel

I have to admit. I have a little bit of a bias when it comes to this place. I spent most of my childhood at this joint with many fond memories with friends and first dates. 3 B Ice Cream is one of the few places in my travels that has stayed consistent and true to what their all about. Their no frills, just a good selection of Ice Cream flavors, generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. Any time I’m home and its in season, I make a stop. This will never change. This staple of the community will forever have a place in my heart. For you chocolate lovers, death by chocolate is a must as well as the chocolate malt shakes. The Chocolate mint chip is also a Must!

Very good! The ice cream serving was HUGE. I ordered half Mocha Cookie, half Graham Slam. Both were very good. The Mocha Cookie tasted strongly of coffee and was great. The Graham Slam was graham cracker flavored ice cream with fudge cups and cookie dough(I think). It was AMAZING. I’m not over near there often, but, next time I am, I’ll be sure to make a stop!

This place had a ton of hand dipped flavors to choose from. For 2 scoops it was about $ 3.50 and they did accept credit cards. I had the blueberry fleck, which did have flavorless frozen blueberries. The blueberry ice cream did not taste like blueberry at all, more like vanilla. It was a creamy consistency, which was nice, but it needed more flavor. The chocolate pretzel ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn and was not as creamy as the previous scoop. The name made me think it was going to be chocolate ice cream with pretzel bits in it, but it was vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels. Only good thing about this place… It saved me about 500 calories because I only took a couple bites before trashing the rest.

I’m such a fan of 3B that I have to give it 4 stars just for the ice cream, but the one on Derry St is better in terms of set-up. The Moose Tracks is my absolute fave. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate & caramel swirls and tiny peanut butter cups… yum! The portions are also HUGE. I asked for a single scoop and it was a massive scoop of ice cream precariously mounted on a cone. My mom got a small which was twice as big. When I reminded the teenager behind the counter that I had ordered a small, he said«That is. Yours is considered a kid-size.» Wow. The only down-side here is that the seating situation is dire. At night, your choices are: stand around in the only lit area close to where you order and try to defend your ice cream from bugs or go over to one of the picnic bench areas in the pitch black corner of the parking lot. Their other location has both outdoor and indoor seating, making it much more superior. Nonetheless, 3B is one of the things I look forward to when visiting!

Ridiculously delicious ice cream sums it up well. All their ice cream is homemade and I got the strawberry ice cream with huge frozen strawberries in them(see my attached photo) My partner in crime got the cookies and cream. It was also very good from the bites I snagged. The eating area is just the parking lot(couple of picnic benches) Two things to remember is that it is cash only and they are only open seasonally(spring through fall I believe). Tony’s Money Saving Tip: Go during off peaks times to avoid lines and the crowded parking lot(time is money!). Also, the portions are huge so if you are with little kids order what they want and just finish it for them so you don’t waste anything. If you are with a date order what she wants and share it– not only money saving but romantic.

3B is a great place for the community and all the kids to stop and have some great ice cream! Hand dipped is harder to find nowadays. Although not as good as I remember from my childhood. tastes more processed now. I hear it is Turkey Hill Ice Cream now. But it’s so nice to get a hand dipped cone and sit out at the tables. Downsides are the woods next door that used to provide nice scenery and shade have been ripped to hell by this new sewer project that we didn’t need(courtesy of TARP money) and they didn’t see fit to replant. so now it’s ugly. The other is the farking drunks from the Arooga’s next door using 3B to park and speeding through the 3B parking lot when there are tons of kids around. I almost ripped some drunk rednecks throat out for flying through the lot here one night in his huge SUV, feet away from some kids.

Great buy for your buck. Great hard and soft ice cream and great portion sizes. Just make sure you know that when you’re ordering kids size it’s expecting you to be one hefty kid. I’m a young man and I usually pick up the cotton candy flavor which happens to be pink(and I’m ok with that since I’m secure in my manhood or that’s what I tell myself) and that’s what I’d recommend. Thayer are a ton of flavors from traditional vanilla, chocolate, and butter pecan to more exotic flavors such as party cake and cotton candy. Whichever hand dipped flavor you dive into, make sure you savor it because who knows how much longer you’ll be able to deal with your friends making fun of that pink ice cream.

There are very few ice cream places that serve ice cream so good, that it justifies a person to reserve half their freezer to ice cream, during the winter, so that they have a cache of ice cream to hold them over until the store reopens in spring. My brother in law is such a person and 3 B’s is such a place. The ice cream served from here is simply delicious. In particular the chocolate cup cake ice cream is killer, with generous amounts of actual chocolate cup cake in the ice cream. Pure genius! Packed very well, this ice cream keeps its flavor, even in the freezer. When this place reopens in the spring, I highly recommend a visit!

Next tro Kokomos and Sheetz on Linglestown and Colonial road. It’s pretty hard to pull into and there have always been traffic accidents from people trying to leave by turning left onto colonial. They have some of the best ice cream in the area. When I grew up I always enjoyed this one of the Peppermint Patty’s that was out in west hanover. You just walk up and the waitress opens the little screen window and asks what you want. you forgot to look and youre thinking of how delicious all the different flavors are. but then as the line starts to form behind you you just randomly pick something. all the standard large and small Cones, dishes, cakes, waffles, and they only use TURKEYHILL brand ice cream and iced tea. They usually give you a big serving, and it is so enjoyable. Recently they started serving small sandwiches and pretzels and things like that. They have picknick tables which usually fill up fast, and a little trail behind there where you can go out and walk. People always park there and walk to Kokomo’s though, so it’s often very crowded. Moosetracks and Chocolate Mint Chip are my favorite flavors. Usually open late night in the spring through fall. They dont accpet credit cards.
