Big Ben’s Seafood

The fact the place was empty at lunch time, aside from the gentleman working there, should’ve clued me in but I thought I would try it anyway. Mistake. It’s rare that I meet a plate of fried fish that I don’t like but here it was. And saying I didn’t like it is being nice. I ordered fried whiting & fries. In addition the entrée came with a roll. The roll was the only thing I could eat. The whiting was very dark in color, grease laden and tasted so awful that both bites I tried I physically could not swallow. Both bites went into a napkin.
The fries were visually unappealing and sadly tasted just like the fish. Both of the fries I attempted to eat went in the napkin too. I’m not sure how you can make inedible french fries. I truly felt bad sitting there staring at twelve dollars worth of food that was making me nauseous. The gentleman who was working there was looking at me since I was the only customer in the place. After three or four minutes I determined I had no choice but to wish him a good day and send the meal into the trash can. I’m sorry to the guy working there but without a doubt that the most foul food I ever tried to eat. I regret there is no minus to put in front of the star rating.

I went down there to visit my friends and came across this lovely joint. It may be hard to see from the road, but I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice and yummy seafood meal. Their fried shrimp platter is delicious. The staff is great, but there is an eye catcher who I believe may be the manager. Noticed it when I opened the door. Will come back when I’m back in town!
