Had breakfast there this morning. The service was great, waitress pleasant, manager/boss was an ass. Went to have their breakfast special and was told that they couldn’t honor the price advertised because«it is a holiday». Fine, so then I asked what they are offering for the veterans that come in and was told«NOTHING». You CAN’T GIVEME the price advertised for the special because it is a holiday yet you don’t offer those people that the holiday represents any for of appreciation. I am not a service member but to use THEIRDAY to save you money but not do anything for them is just greedy.

I’ve been coming here with a group of friends on Friday nights for the past two and a half years. The service has gotten progressively worse, as has the food. If you see macaroni and cheese on the menu, please don’t order it. It’s a lie. They never have it available, even when the server insists that they do. She’ll be right back out five minutes later to say she doesn’t have it. When you complain that this is a repeated problem, she will stare at you like you’re from Mars and not know how to react, even though this happens every week. Take a peek back in the kitchen, and you’ll see it’s filthy. The desserts are the only thing worth eating, because they’re obviously made somewhere else. I’m pretty sure this place gets upvoted on some other sites just because it’s so bad that some people have to consider it classic.

I was brought to a wet table but the waitress switched me to another table where the seat had crumbs on it. Why do they forget the seats when cleaning? Overall, great service but the meal was disappointing. Tons of potatoes but very little meat on the loin of pork dinner. I never had so little meat. Place looked bleak and kind of a dump. Won’t be returning.

I’ve only had breakfast here. But it was the normal breakfast of any diner. Service was ok. It was very crowded and we got our food in a timely manner. I don’t like that you must buy everything separate. It costs more that way. I got a waffle, ham, and 2 poached eggs.

Love this place for Lunch, co-workers & I come often for lunch. See pic of the Jr Salad I get! It is huge, plus you get a cup of soup. All for only 6.99. Place is clean, food comes quick and service is good.

Camilla was our waitress. Pleasant with a great personality to match. Very good service! Great smile! The French toast recommendation for breakfast was spot on!

Have only eaten breakfast there, and that was solid. I could complain about little things and make it sound like a bad place to eat, but that’s because my expectations are high. However when you factor in reality, this is a diner and should be graded as such. Scrapple was rather good and the hash browns were too. Coffee was reported as good, but I don’t drink it! Prices were reasonable.

Our original cups of coffee were just warm. The service — she was super friendly. The flies, were super annoying. My mom actually called to remind me if I was going to review the place, to make sure I mentioned the flies! The price was good, food was edible, not where I’d say good– but no where near it had to be to make up for the annoying flies. Wouldn’t go back.

Diner was recommended by receptionist nearby, arrived at 9:30 for breakfast. Large clean dining area and friendly staff. Waitress Barbara was very cheerful and attentive. Eggs Benedict $ 6.89 delivered from kitchen with surprising speed, crispy muffin, thick Canadian bacon, just right egg and smooth well-balanced sauce. Potatoes neither shredded nor cubed, but crushed, crispy parts with not too much salt. Would visit again.

Coffee is saving grace here. Chipped beef was flavorless and omelets were super dry. Won’t be back.

Quick tip… When you see this place speed up. The food was nasty and the waitress was a little clueless. Got the chicken pot pie and it was like a bowl of potatoes minus the chicken. Yuk. Go somewhere else

Do not go. It was terrible .the foods taste like a microwave-can foods. Especially steak. It wasn’t steak meat. It was grounded meat, with huge gravy on top. Better go Wendy beside of this.

so we went here a few times for breakfast on the weekend; always found the waitstaff to be rude. aside from the fact that some/most of them don’t speak english very well(which makes a job where communication is paramount inconvenient), they’re very short and easily irritable. now i understand, it’s sunday morning and the place is packed, so we wrote it off at that. tonight we were hungry around 10:00, and decided to go out for a late night meal. we chose front street over colonial park or capital because it’s a little closer. when we got there things were amiss from the start. the parking lot was empty, save for two cars. we went in, and saw the place nearly vacant. the two women who were seated next to us had a fit when they were paying because they didn’t want the waiter, who was a creepy old close-talker, to take their credit card into the back, when the cash register(and one would assume the credit card machine) was located. he reassured them by kinda writing off their concern and they paid and left. he came to take our orders and the whole time acted real creepy, close-talking and all. we both got breakfast. then another couple, a man and a pregnant woman walked in. now we weren’t the only people there. they seemed familiar with the staff, so that made us feel a little better. then things got real weird. the waiter came over and took their order, then cleared a table of dirty dishes next to them. he immediately went from that to getting their water. after he walked back over to the kitchen they got up and said they were leaving. when they were questioned why, he guy told the waiter he thought it was disgusting that he just cleared a table and directly brought them water without washing his hands. the waiter tried to deny it and say he’s a clean person, but it didn’t work. i take it the couple were regulars cause they guy ended it with«it’s always something else in this place.» we should have left. i was unnerved. i’ve worked in restaurants before and i know what it’s like. but this was really weird. i started to watch the waiter. he cleared another table, put his hands in his apron pocket, handled his order notepad, handled dirty menus, got sodas for a group of dudes who sat down… never washed his hands. at this point it was going on twenty minutes in there and i hadn’t seen him wash his hands. so i watched him real hard, sure enough, when he brought out our plates he had his dirty, filthy, disgusting thumb on the top of the plate, even touching our homefries and french toast. i called him out on it. first off, if i was just called out for not washing my hands in front of a customer, i’d make damn sure to visibly wash my hands. second, that dude was right – this guy is disgusting. he tried to allay my fears by telling me he’s clean, and that he gets a blood test every year(cause i’m totally worried about getting AIDS or hepatitis from this guy holding my plates). i argued with him about it until i realized it was pointless. we sat there wondering what to do. so then he washed his hands, and came back reeking of cologne. he told me again he’s a clean person. and it’s okay, cause he keeps a napkin in his pocket that he wipes his hands off on. gross. totally nasty. never going back.

It is usally very busy, but I have never had to wait for a seat. Food is OK, but nothing spectacular. I have not had a bad meal there, but I have also not had a great meal there. Average diner fare.
