How much can you say about a big chain store like Jo-Ann? This is a nice, big location that is convenient to the grocery store. This is the craft store I grew up with, and so I’ll always have fond memories of going here for fabric and supplies every time I started a new sewing project with my mom. They have a good selection of fabrics and lots of other craft supplies. Most recently I got a piece of fuzzy suede-like leopard print to make a purse; they had many animal print suedes to choose from. The line at the cutting counter was pretty short but it still took a long time, though I think my time perception was skewed a bit since I was wearing very uncomfortable shoes that day. This store also had colors of DMC embroidery floss that I hadn’t been able to find in the big Jo-Ann store in the much-larger city where I live now.

My kids and I stopped in here the other day to buy products for a Yu-Du screen printing machine. The store itself is HUGE and they actually HAVE the supplies that I needed for the machine when the other craft stores in the area(Michaels and AC Moore) did NOT! Jo-Ann also takes compeditors coupons so I ended up getting discounts on 3 products(40% off each!) It was a great savings day! I used to shop here occasionally when they were located at the old location near Karn’s. I am really impressed with the size of the store and their selection. I will certainly be shopping here again! ~oh, I forgot to mention… their Yu Du supplies were actually cheeper than Michaels too! Yay! :)

This is a brand new Jo-Ann’s Superstore that opened during the fall of 2008. It’s got a large selection of fabrics and craft supplies. The staff is friendly, and I go there for supplies so often that I recognize half of them on any given day. I suggest signing up for the fliers at their website so you can get the 40% and 50% off coupons they have the habit of sending out…
