We have been eating at this restaurant for years and have noticed the deterioration of their service. We thought we’d give the restaurant another try yesterday, and we are sorry that we did! Although we were seated right away and the server took our order at 5:25 p.m., we did not receive any food until 6:15 p.m., a full 50 minutes after we ordered. I never received the side salad I ordered as an appetizer. After ordering a side salad as an appetizer and wings as my main meal, with my husband ordering the Yucatan Salad, the server left our table at 5:25 p.m., and said she’d bring my side salad out right away. For the next thirty minutes, we did not see hide nor hair of her. At 6:00 p.m., I stopped a different server and asked her if she could find our server, that we had been waiting for our food for 30 minutes. This server said that the kitchen was«backed up and that it was taking a long time to get food.» At 6:10 p.m., still no salad or appearance of the server. At this time, my glass of wine and glass of water were gone. I told my husband that if we didn’t see the server in five minutes that we would pay for our beer and wine and leave. At 6:15 p.m., the server appeared out of thin air with my wings and my hubby’s salad. She apologized and said that she had two large parties that she had been serving. She acknowledged that she had forgotten my salad. When she asked if she could bring anything else, I said, «the check!» She said, it would take her a few minutes to bring the check. In the meantime, one of the owners came out and began bussing tables around us. I took a bite from one of my wings, and it was ice cold. My husband’s tacos on his salad were cold too. I looked over at the owner and asked her if she could please get me a «to go» box since our food was cold and we had waited over 45 minutes for our food. The owner said she would, but she did not bring the boxes. She never came over to ask about our displeasure or about the fact that we had waited over 45 minutes for our food, which was an appetizer and a salad! I find it inexcusable that long-time customers are treated this way and that the owner did not try to find out about our situation nor try to rectify it in anyway. Serving two large parties is no excuse for neglecting other tables for which the server is responsible. The owners need to schedule more servers for busy nights and/or encourage other servers to assist their co-servers in delivering food and drinks. We will never return to this restaurant.

Entered the restaurant at 7:35, was seated at a dirty table @ 7:38, waited 11 minutes for our server to greet us while the owner/manager looked at us from a distance but did nothing. We packed it up and left, the poor service and mediocre bar food isn’t worth the wait.

We’ve been here about ten times or so since we moved to the area from Minnesota. The seafood pasta dishes here are pretty good. A few of them could use more seafood, less pasta, but overall we’re happy with the dishes we’ve tried in the year we’ve lived in the area. Since I like the pasta dishes, I’ve started asking for extra scallops in the Bay Scallop Parmesan, which puts the seafood-to-pasta ratio more where I like it. The food is well-priced for the portions and sauces(alfredo, marinara, and meat sauce) were all tasty and seasoned just enough. No spice seemed to be overwhelming any dishes so far. I guess you could say they were harmoniously seasoned LOL Sometimes the service is a little slow from the wait staff and they don’t always pick up on the fact that the beer(or wine) glass is empty and we’d like someone to stop by and ask if we’d like another. I was expecting a better wine selection, too, considering how great seafood and wine pair together. Others have commented on the bathrooms. I can’t say I’ve ever seen the men’s bathroom, but the ladies’ was all right. Cramped, a little oddly-decorated, and probably needed a good cleaning/dusting. Next time we’re there, I’ll take a better look and report back.

The Italian Stromboli was amazing. However, for a place that is named after a wharf, their fish sandwich left a lot to make up for. Additionally, our beers from the tap both tasted skunky, the tap itself needed cleaned or changed. I’ve been coming here for years, but the last few visits have consistently been sub standard.

My husband and I just ate at the Wharf. We were attracted to the patio which looked pretty nice. The food was just ok– nothing special. My experience was ruined however by the insane number of fruit flies and other flys. I understand a normal amount of bugs while eating outdoors but this was excessive. Suggestion: put out some citronella candles so customers can enjoy their meals.

I had the filet and baked potato. The steak was amazing!!! Friendly staff and didn’t have to wait long at all for the food. Definitely will be back!

I came here for lunch with my family undecided where to eat. I am glad to say I made the right choice. The wings, crab cakes, & baked potato was very good. Also we had a very nice waitress who was very courteous & kept checking on us. Overall I was very satisfied.

First time visit here while I was in the area. The place could be considered a «dive bar». Pretty good food and the wait staff was nice.

Had the Italian Stromboli and it was great. My wife had the Liver & Onions and she said it was very good too.

I had the house specialty panini — very boring. Needed some sauce or something. Hubby had the yucatan taco salad. It was served with Italian breadlike toast — had three mini tacos like I buy in the frozen foods aisle — only veggie on plate was the lettuce. Weirdest taco salad I have ever seen — guess that is why they call it the yucatan salad… Service was friendly enough…

Boyfriend wanted to spoil us so he told me to get what I wanted. I got the surf and turf, 8 oz. Steak and a lobster tail. Not only did the waitress, who provided horrid service, forget one of my sides, my steak had no flavor and the lobster tail was rubber! Throw in that I think something was off with the butter and there is no way«Market Value» equaled $ 40!!! We will Not be going back!!!

Was sent here by the hotel and wasn’t expecting much based on that its in the middle of nowhere but was very pleasantly surprised. Great menu of American favorites, seafood and a great kids menu. First night I had the Greek salad(giant piece of feta!) and the crab chowder which was fantastic! Mom had the fish and chips(also great!) Service was good(ask for Amelia) we liked it so much we came back the second night and mom had the salmon pesto tortellini… very good. We’ll probably be back tomorrow

Excellent food and a really fun environment! The staff is friendly, the alcohol is reasonably priced and I love the outdoor seating.

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time on Sunday night. The restaurant is a bit grungy, a bit dirty, but also a bit tasty. We had the crab Alfredo which was good, but seemed a little expensive for the environment. The beer battered shrimp were the tiniest shrimps I have ever seen. If you cut a normal adult shrimp in half, then make it poop, you would get one of these. They tasted… ok, but that’s about all. The«salad» was a pile of lettuce with a tomato slice on top. She took able 2 bites. It was a pretty sad looking plate o’ lettuce We sat at a booth in the bar area and it is pretty dark and dingy. It seems like there is a crust over everything from 1993 that just wont come off. There were a few weird people, a few old people, lonely people at the bar, then us. Maybe it’s more for townies. The men’s bathroom was in a state of disrepair. Now… I’m a man and don’t usually complain about the bathroom. After all, all I do is stand there. But it was pretty bad. The service however, was great. Or server Amelia was very nice. Although it wasn’t necessarily a bad experience, I definitely would not come back.

Love the environment, music, food, and service. If you’re into a mature bar scene, this is the place for you. Try the Kansas City burger, or fish and chips. You won’t be disappointed!

This place has alluded me for a long time and unfortunately, I ended up going very late and not experiencing the«full experience» I had envisioned. *Will update my review once I return for a normal meal.

this is a pretty nice place, decent prices and overall most of the food is really great. The only food I find less than stellar are their italian dishes. The sauce with the veal parm almost looks and tastes like spaghettios sauce. its nothing like real sauce(gravy in my house, Italian) I grew up on or at any other restaurant. it takes artificial, strange consistency and odd color. but everything else here is very good. great burgers, steaks, appetizers, nice outdoor patio. if you want good Italian food try another place but for most anything else, worth the visit. It does get crowded at times and parking can be a problem even though they have a large parking lot.

I was impressed with the size of the restaurant, the menu selection, and the service. They have some amazingly unique deserts glittering in a case by the front door to tempt even the strictest of dieters. Lots of large screen TVs in both the bar and restaurant seating areas to watch all the games. They make some yummy Cosmos, too.

A no-frills moderately priced place. It had a good size crowd. Not sure if that was because it was the 4th of July and one of the few places open. I thought the food was good but nothing exceptional. It seemed more like a bar with some tables set around the perimeter and lots of TVs, thankfully on mute. We were placed near a bar table with some loud conversation.

I had to go five stars here. It might honestly be more like 4.5, but it’s up there. Recently redid the inside which slightly upgraded the old outdated interior. Outside their patio is private and always nice, even a small bar outside. The crowd is pretty reserved usually, many regulars, in other words, not really a place to get rowdy. Football season sees an increase in crowds and excitement(Steelers bar). Now to the best part about The Wharf… the food! Two must haves are the Kickin Crab Corn Chowder(semi-spicy, plenty of crab and AMAZING) and their wings. The wings have limited sauces, but they are homemade and delicious. Try the hot and garlic mixed. Their crab pretzels and their french fries are good too. Lots of specials usually and seafood specials in particular are good. Majority of the waitresses are always friendly and attentive.
