We have been back living in our house for 9 months now so I feel I can give a more complete review than the one below. Based on our experience, I am surprised to read the other reviews posted here. Our house turned out beautifully. Friends and relatives who see it always comment that the company we chose did really nice work for us. One neighbor even said to himself, «Jarvis, I’ll remember that name.» Our project manager, Bobby, and his team actually made the process low stress. They were friendly and genuinely cared that we liked how our house turned out. They took the time to ask us what we wanted on many details and gave creative suggestions that improved our home. The companies Bobby chose when he did subcontract jobs out were consistently good as well. We only had a few small issues come up after we moved back in, but they were handled quickly with the same high quality of workmanship we had seen during the reconstruction phase. Of course, a reconstruction project like ours is limited by what is covered in the homeowner’s insurance policy, but they also did a good job advocating for us on the interpretation of that when we needed them to. I certainly hope and pray we never have another disaster come up, but should it happen my husband and I would select Jarvis again.

These people are totally dishonest and unprofessional. they took full advantage of me having to deal with them remotely. They asked for a credit card number to start the work and charged the full amount of money from the beginning. The basement of the house was flooded and their intervention was delayed from the moment i contacted them as they were supposed start the drying equipment on a Saturday but only put in some dehumidifiers and only Tuesday added some fans but nothing more. As their quote was done in a very unprofessional way I asked for an itemized bill/​invoice which they never provided. The payment was «pay as you go» according to their own offer, however in the absence of their bill, and with me being remote they put in some 20 yrs old fans, no thermal drying equipment and technology which they advertise on their site and which Matt Jarvis confirmed verbally that they would use and he was going to send me an e-​mail the night before they started. From the first day they cared to only extract 3700 USD from my credit card, money thrown and I just wish life will give them what they deserve for cheating people. Matt Jarvis said «we will take good care of you» and now I realize he was referring to my wallet. I called him every day and every day I got back just words. At the end of the week some fans and dehumidifiers running but nothing of the fancy stuff that the company is advertising on their own site like tES or injectidry, nothing to spray against the mold, no technology to measure the humidity i the walls at the end of the job. A few fans and dehumidifiers and 2 people who pulled the carpet out for 3700 USD.

Jarvis was called by the Macomb County Sheriffs after my home caught fire and I was out of town. When I told them I did not want them to do the work they tried to muscle in and still claim the 10% general contractor paid by my insurance company. They are scam artists that will charge your insurance as much as possible. There work is low quality and they are not honest. Stay clear of this company.

Hired Jarvis to do job due to a flood in kitchen. The downstairs had to be redone because of poor workmanship, and the floor in the kitchen now has a constant squeaking sound. The granite is chipped against the backsplash which was never repaired correctly. They sent a handyman do do the entire job on their time table. I had to be the project manager because once they got their first check it was pleading with them to do the work.
I then had to repeatedly ask them (2.5 months) for the final invoice. I contacted the CEO John who did nothing to help. When I did get the final bill they attempted to inflat the bill with things they did not do! They were paid extremely well for what they did, I’m sure at least double. It would have cost thousands of dollars less had I hired another company. I am so happy to be done with them. I wish I had done my homework before I hired this company. Do yourself a favor and don’t hire them. I would NOT RECOMMEND.
