Great food for the money– served up quick. Only complaint is that portions are impossibly large.

I ordered a chicken teriyaki it was horrible. I sat down to eat my food and a cockroach came out and started wondering on my table. I told the people that work there about it but they seem not to care at all. This place is disgusting, nasty, gross and dirty I will never eat there again!!!

Ordered last minute and truly I can’t complain, the crunchy spicy tuna roll was on point and it sure was what I needed and the chicken teriyaki was good but I’ve had better. All in all it was a great experience and something within walking distance from my hotel(Element) and the Harrison Station.

The sushi was ok. This is more of a run in and run out kinda place to get sushi to go. One of the chefs was smoking right outside the door and the smoke was getting right in to the dining area, kinda smelled gross. The prices are ok.

I can’t believe people can eat in this place. The place doesn’t look nasty when you get in, but the guy who made my food, was nasty as hell. First he didn’t use globes to take the food, second while he was cooking he was eating some food without washing his hands and third he has the longest nails I ever seen on a men! And dirty as hell. I tooke my food and couldn’t eat it at home I almost vomit… never again…

Sushi is very fresh. The bubble teas are very good. Staff is friendly, price is good. Linda and tommy rolls are my favorite.

I don’t know why this place has such a low rating. I came here lat week for a quick bite to eat before the red bulls game. The Harrison PATH station is right nearby I got the beef teriyaki and two eel avocado rolls with a soda for under $ 20. It tasted the same as if I order it all the mall. I know there owners are not really Japanese so tone down your expectations. I’d come back here but probably won’t order any sushi. That guy went for too many smoke breaks. Although he work gloves.

Warning: these people have no idea how to use online capabilities. My friend has been there and was charged twice on his credit card. Then we got a gift certificate through an app that stated just hand your phone to cashier to receive the discount. They would not take it. When i told him he can just punch in the gift certificate number right there where it said enter code, he refused to do so. So we went and printed it out. Funny thing is he just took the paper, threw it in the garbage, and gave us the discount. What a waste. Also be careful with the sushi. Its not the worst but not even close to the best. The chicken is only good with the noodles. Otherwise it is extremely dry and fatty. The bubble tea is also VERY watered down. I was very disappointed and will never come back here again. Id rather have five guys right next to it. This would explain why this place is always empty(we were the only ones there)

I ordered on line for pickup. The food was decent, no real complaints(had better, had worse). My real issue was when I went to pick up my order I said I paid on line, they said no, they didn’t charge my card so I needed to pay. Sure enough, I get home(it was a business trip) and my card was charged, I paid twice — now I need to get it sorted out, what a pain.

I’ve been in this store today, I asked teryaki beef with extra beef, and came with normal beef, complained and the plate employee treated me with irony, he said that I wanted so much for $ 10, and on top treated me with disrespect and yelled at me, I asked him if he knew where he was, demanded respect for only wanted what I had paid and nothing else, never come back in this place of educated poor people, asked for the manager but would not give me the information, were trying to protect the employment of educated poor official, gave me a soda to smother the case, I tried to locate the responsible for that establishment, but could not because this restaurant has no website, summarizing a mess! it does not matter because I had education and only demanded my right to have what I paid! Always ate it, now never put my feet in that terrible place, and the food is not all that, super greasy and not sushi are the best! This is a lack of respect you demand what you paid and be treated that disrespectfully, concludes that this is not a serious restaurant!

Having eaten at Five Guys next door various times, I would pass by and never see this establishment filled with patrons. So that worried me but I decided to take a chance. The food portion to price ratio is fair. If you want to take quality into account… then it’s not. Ordered a chicken teriyaki with noodles and veggies. It was made to order and the wait time wasn’t terrible. Once I got my food, I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of food in my container. Chicken was a bit fatty and didn’t taste as great as other Japanese eateries I have been to. But I hadn’t eaten all day so I kept grubbing. The noodles were good though I wish they weren’t so greasy. Didn’t get much vegetables but the ones I did try were cooked well yet crunchy. My company had the same except ordered fried rice as a side. That was probably the best thing on the table. An order of Thai bubble tea took longer to make than the actual food which was odd. It also tasted watered down. I’ve tasted better. Overall? If I’m starving, in the mood for some teriyaki and not willing to travel very far for my meal, I’d give the place another go.

Not the best place by a long shot. But great if you are craving fast greasy food. Sushi is not the best nor the worst but it’s passable, you get what you pay for… My one vice at this place is bubble tea. The only place that has it in town so I come back for it. It’s clean and friendly and fast.

Ordered the Eel Bento Box tonight for dinner. It was ok. It had 3 slices of California roll, a side salad, and steamed rice topped with the grilled eel with eel sauce. It’s still a good option than having to eat at the other restaurant every night.

Have I had better? Hell yes. Have I had worse? Yes again. Here’s a fair assessment. For a pre match stop before a Red Bull match, it works good. If I lived here and was bringing something home after getting off train, good. Would I make a trip there NO. $ 10.00 got me a chicken Bento box with dumplings and sides and a soda. Two and half stars.

I came here after a red bulls game. Place was completely empty. That will always scare me. The Five Guys next door had a line out the door. Their miso soup was just awful. Sushi was decent. Prices were reasonable. Beverage selection is horrible. I think they want you to buy the bubble tea instead. This place is more like a fast food sushi pace. Food was acceptable, except for the one roll that had a hair in it.

What You Need To Know –Close to the Harrison Path Station & Red Bull Arena –Fair prices — Specialty rolls are a steal ranging from $ 8.50-$ 9.00(approximate) –Online delivery & pick-up available through Grub Hub($ 15 min) –Menu: Bubble Tea, Sushi, Hot Teriyaki Dishes etc. –Vibe: Clean, Well lit, Fast & Welcoming –Taste: The sushi is average and made in plain sight. The hot teriyaki dishes are greasy, could use a punch of spice/seasoning and Americanized. I was slightly disappointed with the small amount of meat in my Beef Teriyaki dish. Summary: I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat at Sakura Japan, however it’s a great delivery option or place to stop by if you need a quick fix.

I thought I’d give Sakura a chance even though it only had negative reviews on Unilocal, but I definitely shouldn’t have. The restaurant itself isn’t bad, there’s TVs and loads of seating but that’s probably where the positives end. There was a lovely woman on the door with free samples, but the rest of the staff were all boring and depressed and obviously didn’t want to be there. And then the food. Ugh. I’d like to call myself an expert on Japanese food because I don’t stop eating it, and this beef teriyaki was just pathetic. The beef was totally flavourless, the teriyaki sauce tasted absolutely nothing like teriyaki and the rice was hard. I’d definitely suggest going elsewhere if you want decent Japanese food.

Alright, the food is not top quality Japanese sushi, but at the prices and being in Harrison, you should not be expecting that. The portions are large and the teriaki chicken was decent. The rice is not high quality sushi rice in the sushi, but the overall flavor is not bad if like me you mix wasabi and soy sauce together and dip the sushi in. If you want that pure fresh fish flavor go with sashimi and go to somewhere that either flies it in on dry ice or is right on a harbor.
