I went here many times in college and once after for a rehearsal dinner and they do a great job. Small place but really good food

Amazing flavor combinations and lovely presentation. Enjoyed shrimp and grits, Thai broccoli soup, calamari pesto & marinara, and peacon pork tenderloin

I love to travel and I travel to eat, this is one of those truly enjoyable experiences. Tonight I enjoyed a figgy old fashioned and braised short ribs– with greens that were flavored in a way that I’ve never experienced growing up in Florida. They were delicious, spicy– but more acidic than spicy. The bar menu is something totally different with spins on classics and dare you live on the mixologist danger side, they have the experimental section… I wasnt feeling the selection today, so I stuck with the classics. Go there, try the greens. Enjoy your stay!

Anytime there’s a lengua on the menu you knows it’s authentic. When it’s lengua and served out of a truck, oh man, I’m in heaven. This isn’t Chipotle my friends, but I think you recognize that when you arrive. Very easy parking where you are greeted to a bright blue food trailer. Meals on wheels, right? I had the lengua burrito with avocado which was big but not absurd. Tasty, well cooked, savory meat, with not much else in the tortilla to adulterate the flavor. Easy seating and great price. No nonsense food right here. Enjoy!

Lovely place, good food and drinks. It started my new years eve off right. John the waiter was very helpful on local area places to go to.

Service was decent, but food lacked taste. Salt needed on most dishes. Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Got the steak, recommended by waitress that was tasteless over dry mashed potatoes.

Stopped in here on my way home from North Carolina the other day to grab a quick bite to eat after picking up some beer from brothers brewing. I looked online and quickly decided on the beef and cheese sandwich before I got there. Sat down on the bar and was served water right away and given a menu. The bartender explained that all appetizers were $ 5 for the next hour, so naturally I ordered the duck wontons. They were basically toastada style with the duck and kimchi on top of the fried wontons and a bed of rice. They had a great balance of flavors and textures, and I really enjoyed these. I would have given them a 5 based soley on this. However then things went a little down hill. I didn’t see the beef and cheese(read homeade cheese steak) sandwich on the menu so I asked. The bartender kindly told me that they no longer had it, which is a shame because it was still on the online menu. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich. A few seconds later he came back stating it was on the menu screen and that I could have it. Perfect! Switched to that and dug into my wontons. A little while later he came back and appologized and said that they couldn’t make it. Drat, back to the pork! The pork sandwich was okay. not heavily sauced or rubbed, it definitely was a little on the bland side. Definitely a decent place, but I’m also not too sure I’d pay the regular price($ 8) for the duck wontons. Definitely worth checking out for a happy hour spot if you can!

We stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. It wasn’t very crowded which was great and we opted to sit downstairs at the bar since there was music upstairs and they said it may get loud. The downstairs had a cool, local spot hangout feel to it. Lots of people ages 25 – 35. Pros– I got the Salmon. It was delicious. Cooked perfectly with awesome flavor. Cons– Small portions for the price. Moscow mules don’t come in a copper mug! I would stop back for a drink if we were in town again and give it another try.

Absolutely okay. Nice variety on the menu and nice presentation, but flavor and finish were lacking. We ordered 4 small plates. The shrimp & grits was the only one I would recommend or reorder. Went for dinner and thought it had more of a lunch vibe(casual & brightly lit). It’s not necessarily bad, it’s just not good. Surely there are better places in Harrisonburg.

I absolutely love this place. The menu was simple and actually catered to many folks with a nice variety of appetizers and entrees. We had the shrimp and grit fritters. Very tasty and the pica de gallo was a great mix in. For my entrée I had the ribeye steak that was perfectly flavored and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato mash and green beans were excellent. Our waiter was truly awesome. He checked up on us awesome and ensured that we always had a cold drink in our hands. Their upcoming renovations will include an arcade and three lane duckpin bowling alley. How awesome is that? They also have an entire bar area downstairs for the younger crowds.

This is my first 5 star review. Simply put, it is a great place to eat and drink. I sat at the bar with the wonderful bartender Lauren. I ordered the shrimp & grits fritters(off the freakin chizz-ang) and some different beers. For my meal I had fish tacos with the black eyed pea salad and the black beans on the side– un-freakin-believable. Very tasty and just good. The service was great, bartender was very attentive, food came out superquick, good vibe and ambiance. Just a real cool place that I will return to many times while doing business in Harrisonburg. Only one thing, it sucks that they don’t take my corporate card(Amex). Even McDonald’s takes Amex.

Great atmosphere, great food and drinks. Fresh ingredients and my burger was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very attentive to my Mom’s dietary needs(vegan). We ate out back in the patio and am looking forward to returning the next time I come back to Harrisonburg. The only knock was when we came back up to leave and thought about staying for the music, the hostess was going to charge us each an $ 9 cover charge after we just paid for dinner with drinks and appetizers.

We love this place. Can be hard to get a seat when the local college is in session. Servers are well trained, food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. Portions for the entrees are not huge, so an appetizer is a good idea. Have dined here 4 — 5 times over the last two years and have never been disappointed.

I’ve seen the space in this location be transformed so much over the last 10 years and the owners have done a fabulous job with Clementine’s. This is one of our favorite places to go downtown for lunch during the week. The atmosphere is very relaxing, inviting, open and it has an artsy feel to the space. The staff is helpful and friendly, and they of course accept credit/debit cards. Knock on wood — they have never gotten a take out order of mine wrong yet! I’m generally the type of person who likes to try new things, however when someone gets it right(I mean really gets it right) on a menu item, I tend to stick with it every time — and the Bahn Mi sandwich is by far my favorite on their menu! Overall, good prices, good food, good service & good atmosphere.

Wonderful local restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. I hosted a bridal shower in the lounge and it was a huge success. Catering menu was varied and there was something for everyone: Steamed spice shrimp — huge shrimp, nicely spiced with great dipping sauce Feta crostini — feta and tomatoes on toast. Topping excellent, bread could have been a bit crisper. Hank’s BBQ sliders and slaw. Delish!!! BBQ moist and tender, slaw very fresh Chicken satay with peanut sauce — tender chicken with creamy peanut sauce. A fave with the crowd. Pork dumplings with chili dipping sauce — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Sauce had nice kick. The lounge is a great casual venue and provides a lot of options for seating and mingling. Highly recommend.

I was harassed by the manager. I went to a concert with a friend a few days ago and the bar was full to capacity. We had been sitting at the bar for about an hour when I got up to go to the bathroom. On my way back I was grabbed by the hood on my jacked and yanked backwards. I was pulled face to face with a man who told me that I needed to leave. He claimed that he saw me sneak through the backdoor. I explained to him that this wasn’t true — I pointed to the seat at the bar where I had my tab open. He called me a liar and proceeded to argue with me. I started to walk away and again he grabbed me by my clothing, shouting«what part of that wasn’t clear?» I had to find a waitress that could vouch for me. After my case was made, he stormed off and offered no apology. I went back earlier today to make a complaint and found out this man was the manager. The first rule of customer service is that the customer always comes first. This apparently is not the case at Clementine’s. I’m waiting on that apology, bud.

This was a great find for some out of towner’s. I can see how this place could be a locals favorite. The interior has exposed brick walls adorned with local artist work. It would appear they have live music as well on occasion, stage and sound system in the rear of the restaurant, there is a full bar as well. The crab cakes were excellent, my dining companion had the bean burger which was good but it was only warmed through. The bread pudding was nice. I would add a couple more vegetarian options. Parking is easy, next to the building.

Everyone kept recommending this restaurant, and I see why. You just know when you spy stage props, splattered paint, intricate lighting, and two bars… one of which occupies a separate room… that something is bound to kick ass. This review doesn’t get too wild, however, I was just there for the grits. The lobster sauce as well as the gigantic shrimp that accompanied it was a little on the rich side, but so good I’d be satisfied with a larger portion as a main course. Instead, I had to play it safe and get some sort of club sandwich. DON’T. It’s not bad, but not anything special. Stick with the good ol’, hot comfort food and you will not be disappointed. I can overlook that with the expansive beer list that represents the best VA has to offer. They even try their hand at some exotic cocktails like a caipirinha… but not just *anyone* can really pull those off. Overall, I don’t think this place is perfect, but any flaws I see are outweighed by potential for entertainment… or getting sloshed in style. It totally earned its reputation.

We ate here twice over the President’s Day weekend. Since it was also Valentine’s Day, they had a special menu for dinner. I was looking forward to eating the Falafel Burger, but it was not a part of the menu. For dinner, I had the following: — Black Bean Burger: This was good. Its served with fries, which were bland. I wasnt a fan of the fries. I would recommend getting a side of house-made chips instead. For lunch, I had the following: — House fried potato chips: DELICIOUS — Roasted pepper hummus dip: Decent — Black bean chili and grits: This is vegetarian and delicious — Falafel wrap: This was very good. Overall, a great place for lunch or dinner.
