Ate breakfast at the Lakewinds on 7÷16÷11−3 of us had omelets and I had corned beef hash. We all enjoyed our breakfasts, especially the house-made english-muffin bread toast. Nice view of Hart Lake on the patio!

This new version of Lakewinds Restaurant is run by Shirley Kludy. They claim«specialty omelets» and breakfast served all day. But they also have very good sandwiches and soup and a view of beautiful Hart Lake. We had the Reuben and also a Turkey Reuben on Friday April 8, 2011. They both come with a packet of Marzetti’s Thousand Island Dressing which you can add on the sandwich. The traditional Reuben comes with kraut and Swiss cheese, but thin prepared pastrami, which looked like it came from a grocery deli, certainly not sliced in the restaurant from a chunk of corned beef. That having been said it was an excellent sandwich. The Turkey Reuben was served with diced cole slaw on the sandwich instead of kraut, but it was also good. Both served on grilled marble rye bread, with chips or fries.
