A friend living in another part of the state picked this location to send me an arrangement after a death in my family. I believe she ordered Thursday night or Friday morning. Friday afternoon I’m out and I begin to get calls on my phone from a number I don’t recognize. I don’t think anything of it until I get a voicemail: ‘(male voice I don’t know) Heeey(first name), girl, I need you to call me back. Thanks.‘ Notice the lack of details like, oh, why you’re calling, who the Hell you are, where you’re from, etc. It was really, really creepy. Luckily a woman at the store called shortly thereafter saying the driver couldn’t find me. Okay, I get that. I live in a condo complex that can be confusing but other places have found me just fine. She wanted me to meet him or come to the store to pick it up. Really, I’m out of the house to get my mind off things and I have to race home to meet someone or take my personal time to go to the store? Isn’t delivery part of the price my friend paid? The next day I waited at the house until 4 and finally called the store to see where my delivery was. It had ‘gone out on the delivery van’ earlier and could I wait another hour plus? Really? This was a mistake on your part and it wasn’t prioritized a little better? I said I would wait an hour and just as I was about to leave it arrived. I understand this is the last week before Christmas but this was quite a spectacle to get completed. I understand customer service can also be challenging — I’m in the field myself — but I feel like it could have been handled a little better. I’ve never had issues with the Avon location.
