Not really sure what they’re doing here, over an hour wait for dinner, no problem, we’ll stop back, ate somewhere else, stopped back, live music, great, not so much, more drums! That’s all you can hear, a little construtive criticism, and suddenly I’ve «never heard live music», or you’re sitting on the side”…This place needs some help, very inexperienced staff, with little guidance, not to mention the expansive menu which sets up their staff to fail. Could be better with some better, or some management. … nobody on staff smiles, think about it. .

Well, we should have listened to the plethora of negative reviews but we decided to give it a shot. We arrived at around 3pm with our 2 children. The place is huge with plenty of vacant seating but we still had to wait 20 minutes for seating. We then had to find our server because after being seated we waited 15 minutes and no one had come by to take a drink/appetizer order. The Server(Eric) was very nice but no «flowetry» to his job duties. We again had to wave down the server after 20 more minutes and my wife not receiving her salad. Food was just«ok». Game room was nicer than going to a chuck e cheese but very chaotic, and the games were expensive. Lots of games were 4 or 8 tokens which isn’t necessarily a bad thing when you just want the kids to finish up so you can head home. Probably won’t go back.

I love the Mineshaft despite the 30 drive I love their giant arcade room. I prefer this place over Chuck E. Cheeses since it’s for kids only while the Mineshaft is for all ages. Their food is terrific and their waiting staff is really knowledgable and friendly. I would definitely go back to the Mineshaft for the arcade games. I highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys playing games and eating great food at great prices.

My main issue was the staff. After voicing a complaint, I witnessed the hostess and a young man whispering about me. Another woman came to the hostess desk and they kept talking about me. How incredibly unprofessional. The food during the Sunday brunch was very overpriced. I didn’t bother speaking with management as the earlier reviews indicate they are just as bad. My advice: accept credit or cash for anything(why on earth would a business turn down money?), provide a better product, and don’t gossip about customers who are paying your wage.

The food was tasty despite being served luke warm. It was a busy Friday night. But even service at the bar wlas some what slow. We ordered the seafood platter, the shrimp was overcooked and uke warm. The best part was when the waitress was surprised to see us at the table and never asked us how our food was. In other words she knew it was cold. Never take a table upstairs.

I love this place great pizza and their arcade games are fun for the kids. We moved to the area recently and are amazed by the way the food is displayed and presented. We also love the buy one get one breakfast this definitely saves money and a trip to another place. Try it out I’m sure that you will enjoy the great atmosphere and food.

The food is good, the ambiance is fun and welcoming, and the play room upstairs is great for both young and old. Friday fish fry is great, but be prepared to wait for a table, because the fish fry is so good everyone wants to go there, it’s well worth the wait. The only issue I have is the wait staff, they are not that consistent. The last couple of times that I have been there the waitresses seem to be more interested in the tables with the cute guys than all of their tables. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and our waitress only came to our table to take our order, drop our order off and leave our check. We tried to flag her down but to no a avail because she was to busy with the other two tables that contained single men with kids. She dropped our bill off while she was breezing by he table. We finally got up to leave and find someone to take our bill, then she comes out of the woodwork upset that we didn’t pay her. I told her we couldn’t wait any longer and how she didn’t come back. Overall I’m very pleased with the place and will continue to come back, but they really need to work on the waitstaff.

The food is nothing to rave about but is your typical bar food that is good after a long day of hanging out on the lake or having a few cocktails. The variety of food satisfies everyone. The service has always been super friendly. Games upstairs are fun for the whole family. It’s always busy and stuffy which is kind of a turn off to me.

3 star food, 5 star arcade. 4 star experience. Let me first just say that I do indeed commend them for all of their food and drink options. There is a very wide variety, so I’m sure everyone in your family and in your group of friends can find something they’ll like. Though, the food is average, I would say. I mean, the food isn’t bad by any means. It just wasn’t special. I had the Stuffed Shrimp, with fries on the side. I thought the fries were perfectly cooked, but just really under-seasoned. As for the Stuffed Shrimp; it’s shrimp, crab meat, and cheese deep fried with batter for a golden brown coating. The Stuffed Shrimp seemed fresh, but that wasn’t the problem. Albeit, it was my first time trying something like this, but when these things are put together, you don’t exactly get Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups; you know what I mean? It just wasn’t the best combo. Though, like I said, there are many menu options. I’m sure I will go back and try something else and enjoy it. I’m a gamer. I’m really into arcades. Now, this isn’t a huge Japanese Game Center that you’d find in Tokyo, but it is a medium sized arcade with a good variety of relevant titles and old classics. These games range from Flappy Bird, Doodle Jump, & Fruit Ninja, to Mario Kart Arcade GP, the new and huge PAC-MAN Battle Royale, and the still-awesome Ms. PAC-MAN /Galaga combo arcade machine. There are plenty of games where you can win tickets as well; and there are many cool prizes. Light-up noise making yo-yos, a candy shop sized Double Bubble gum ball machine, lava lamps, a huge Hello Kitty doll, and even slushes! Basically, this arcade is really cool. They put a lot of effort into it. I think you should definitely go, especially if you love games. My meal was $ 17 including drink, which isn’t a bad price, in my opinion. I think 250 tokens was $ 50. That’s definitely a very fair price. We had a group of six, and that more than ensured enough fun for everyone.

I have been here several times. The food is always good and so are the prices. Starting at 6 a.m. on the weekdays and 8 a.m. on Sunday they serve a breakfast buffet. The cost is $ 7.99 with your drink of choice for an additional charge. If you come for a dinner, don’t be shocked if you have a short wait to be seated. They tend to get busy later in the day. After your meal take advantage of the arcade upstairs.

Descriptive phrase: humongous fun townie bar. Supposedly Mineshaft is the largest bar in Wisconsin, which I now don’t doubt. They were open for us after a wedding reception and still pretty full. The live cover band was a lot of fun, and the crowd was in a dancy-mood. Bartenders were very friendly, drinks reasonably priced, food straight American but greasy goodness. It’s a very fun place to come with a large group of friends and beers.

This was my first time at the Mineshaft. My bf and I had the brunch buffet, which we both thought was really good. I didn’t know how much it would be, and when the server brought the check and I saw it was only $ 7.99 each, my jaw almost hit the ground. I thought for sure it was going to be about $ 15 each. Good bloody mary too — spicy and loaded up well with pickle, celery, beef stick and cheese for only $ 6. My only complaint was our server. It took forever for him to get over to us. We sat almost 10 minutes before he realized he had another table. Instead of introducing himself, he came over and grunted something and then stared at us until we ordered our drinks. Bald dude with tattoos and glasses — couldn’t tell you his name, because he never told us what it was. The table behind us had a wonderful server — introduced herself, ran through the specials, soup of the day and joked around a bit. We wished we had her! Maybe next time. Anyway, great food and incredible prices. That same buffet in Milwaukee would easily cost about $ 14.99 per person. We’ll definitely be back!

A nice large restaurant with a large menu and loads of specials. Typical visits are pretty good with quick service. Since they have the largest selection in the area and they tend to be frequented by a lot of people. Quality is ok… not bad by any means but nothing to brag about.

Today is Easter Sunday(4÷5÷15) @2:50p.m.-5:30p.m. Had a party of 6 with reservation and were seated in about 10 minutes. We all had the brunch buffet and there was a variety of food and desserts. I had a little bit of everything, and overall the food was good. We all went back for seconds. For being open on Easter Sunday, the place was busy and there were notes posted asking for you not to stay at your table too long and enjoy the bar and game room. Prices are reasonable. They always seem to have new and better games in the arcade. Our waitress and the management was very friendly and atmosphere was welcoming considering how busy it was. Smoking is prohibited now in the bar, so it’s no longer smokey. Great family place. I’m sure the Mineshaft is busy on Friday nights, but it’s a Friday fish fry, every restaurant is busy on Friday nights. Take that into consideration.

This was my first time eating the breakfast buffet. I won’t be back for it. They had a nice selection beef tips&gravy, chicken, huge selection of fresh fruit and deserts, and of course breakfast foods. I didn’t like the food. The corn beef hash was yuck, biscuits were hard. I was very disappointed. If you go before 10 am the buffet costs 7.99 if you buy a beverage. The soda is 2.49. If you don’t want a beverage the buffet is 9.99. It was over 40 for 4 people which isn’t bad if the food was decent but 4 people leaving disappointed is a lot to spend. Plus add the tip we spent 50. What a waste! The regular menu is pretty good. We have had the cod dinner before and it’s great! The game room is great. Don’t waste your time on breakfast go for lunch or dinner.

I live in Hartford and to be honest there isn’t much going on in the area. I continue to find myself at the Mineshaft and continue to be more disappointed each and every time. Drinking there can be fun and their appetizers are ok, I wouldn’t order a bloddy mary, fish fry or anything else off their menu. Service, unless you’re at the bar sucks. It’s fun for the kids and that’s about it.

This place used to be soo good. Now it’s just cheap. The food is very affordable because it’s not very good. Talk about a pain in the a** to try to get any service. We had a party of 13 that they initially wouldn’t seat us until the whole party was here. So my elderly father, my wife who has a bad back were left standing when they could have seated US and started the process of serving. Then they harassed us to make sure we were ordering pizzas cause apparently anything else for a party of «this size» would be to hard to do anything else. Like I said I used to love this place now I’ll never come back.

This place has good food — nothing mind blowing or super special. The portions are huge. The menu has everything. I don’t have kids — but it’s a good spot for them. Lots going on.

This was my second trip to the Mineshaft. It’s a bit of a drive from my house, but well worth it. The food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I met up with some friends of ours for dinner. It was a little bit of a wait for a table, but we were okay with that. After all, it was a Friday night, and their fish fry is very popular. Once we were seated, we were greeted promptly by our 2 servers(we had a party of 11 people total). The servers were very friendly and patient with our table. If you like a good fish fry, then you will love the fish fry here. I highly recommend the all you can eat platters. There are several to choose from. I had the all you can eat shrimp and fish for $ 9.99. You get coleslaw, rye bread, and french fries in addition to the fish and shrimp. For all the food that you get, it’s an amazing value. For desert, we were given several options to choose from. I went with the Neapolitan cheesecake. Oh.My.God. It was some of the best cheesecake that I ever had. After dinner, we headed upstairs to the huge game room so the kids in our party could burn off a little energy. They have lots of games and activities for the kids to do. And they can earn tickets for playing that they can redeem for different things. We had a great time at the Mineshaft, and we will be back again in the future :-)
