The Re-Cover Shop is a not-for-profit resale shop, mainly carrying large home goods and salvaged building items and materials. Big friendly place with lots of stuff, including some good stuff. The good-to-crap ratio is fairly low, but not worse than other thrift-type stores in economically depressed areas. You can find everything from salvaged doors/windows, to old sinks, to old stereos and furniture, to a ten-cent CD of spooky noises for Halloween. Update: the Halloween CD is no longer available because I bought it. Not a fancy place, and you’ll find typical thrift-store dust and grime here and there. The people who work here have always been friendly, helpful and just plain nice. Prices are good — this place prices things to move. If something seems overpriced, it may be worth asking the staff to consider repricing it. This is a nice place to donate good but unused items, since it’s a charity. But bring the items into the store, don’t just dump them in the lot! Note: I think the nonprofit running this store provides charity services to low-income people in need of home-repair. But, this review is just for the store itself, not the charity.
