The best hamburgers! I’m always here for a good burger instead of getting a fast food burger

If it was possible, I would give this place 2.5 stars. I had a burger craving & this place really didn’t hit the spot.
I ordered two #6 (meat, grated cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo & mustard), one #7 (hot dog, grated cheddar cheese, & chili), one #11 (smoke sausage, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, & hickey smoke sauce), an order of fries, & onion rings.
Overall, the #6 was very dry. Being that the patty is thin, the burger wasn’t juicy. Maybe adding smoky sauce would’ve made it better.
#7 was surprising because I expected the hot dog to come on a hot dog bun but it was served between a hamburger bun. You can’t go wrong with a chili cheese weeny though!
#11 was the best choice made!
I enjoyed the onion rings. They don’t seem to be the store bought ones. It had a nice chewy texture which I found to be unique. Fries, shoe string cut, basic fries.
entire meal + lg drink was about 23 $. Very affordable & I would come back if I was in the area but don’t see myself craving this place.

I only gave them one star cause there aren’t any negative stars and I can’t post without a star but Never will I go here again. I went here Saturday afternoon to get food for me and some friends. After placing my order the cook came out from playing the poker machine and straight to cooking the food. he didn’t wash his hands at all!!! Once I saw this I knew I wasn’t going to eat the food so I just sat and observed the cook. He finally put on gloves after getting chicken breast out of the freezer, but instead of changing gloves and washing his hands he continued to touch everything in the kitchen. He grabbed other meats out the freezer with the same gloves that touched the chicken breast and door handles. Next comes the cashier she had onion rings and nuggets just sitting on the corner even though they had bugs out she didn’t put it up. After taken a few more orders she to touched food (fries and onion rings) without washing her hands. I had enough after watching this display of lack of sanitation. I told the cashier I would like to cancel my order and why. The cook over heard me and told me that he doesn’t need to wear gloves or wash his hands if he don’t want to and he will continue to do it. I couldn’t believe he would people at risk for his selfish wants. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone unless they are trying to get sick.

I have been going to Buds since i was an adolescent. …the burgers are good… i just picked up a to go burger. …service was bad… loudly heard the f bomb twice with my 8 yr old… will not go back to that location

Good and cheap burger joint. Love the chargrilled burger, the shredded cheddar on the burger is much better than the standard slices of cheese. Gotta love the crispy fries, not being coated in grease out of the fryer. Definitely worth it for the price!

Bud’s Broiler is a staple for delicious burgers and chargrilled sandwiches in New Orleans. My personal favorite is the grilled chicken sandwich, chili cheese fries, and a shake. Do yourself a favor and get the special smoke sauce, it is fantastic.

Smoke flavored grilled homemade very thin burgers with a different twist like the one they say is the customers favorite the #4 hamburger with chili and shredded cheese. I got the regular#5 …kind of dried out. Fries are nice thin strings but well cooked similar to macdonalds. Would not eat here again… nothing special like the other reviews said.

Hard to elaborate on this Buds. It’s as good as any Buds you can visit around town. Food is predictably great. Year after year. Same great wood benches you can carve (burn in back in the 90’s) name onto, rather bleak décor and that wonderful smoke that smacks you in the face when you walk in. Love it
The shredded cheddar makes it for me. If you somehow haven’t been here, the burgers are no Port of Call or Phil’s grill quality, they are straight up backyard grilled burgers. Thin, blackened, simply delicious. For what it is, it’s the best. And it is what it is. Now if you don’t like them kinda burgers, or care for slightly charred meat, then this is not your place. My kids hate it. All I can do is roll my eyes and eat their leftovers (the shame) and tell them that one day, when you get older, you will know what it is to crave Buds. They say, «what does crave mean?»

What’s not to love about Bud’s? Flame broiled burgers that are cooked to order with thick layers of cheese and onions. Sure, they serve chicken sandwiches too, but you have to go for the classic when you are eating here.
This Bud’s is pretty much like all the rest of them. I think if you have been in one of these places, you have been in all of them.
