Nice waiter but every question I asked, he had no idea what I was talking about so apparently he doesn’t even know what’s on the menu. One question was what was the difference between the baked salmon and baked seafood because I had never heard of a baked seafood and there are no pictures. He said he never even heard of it either. Don’t get me wrong though, for he was very kind. The food is yuck. $ 15 for a roll of shredded imitation crabmeat on top of a roll w just now crab? Moreover, the peppered tuna on the burning man roll was brown!!! And stunk! My regular spot is Tennou but we wanted to try here since we always pass it up. Never again…

Even with the great service the waitress provided for us I can’t give it 2 stars. The food was awful and overly salty. The hibachi tricks was fun to watch, but not to eat which is sad. A little over priced with the amount of food they offer as well. I won’t be coming back here anytime soon.

Best Sushi on the Westbank hands down! I go here all the time and love it. The staff is always super friendly and the specialty rolls are great. Also they own a fresh fish market so I think they keep the best catches for themselves because the sashimi is always crazy fresh and yummy!

First time I went to Sakura I strongly believe the food must be good(I dunno why?). Unfortunately it turned out so disappointed. When I pick on some of their rolls in to my mouth the rice is falling off and ingredient wasn’t fresh either. The portion was too small so I left hungry. Never come back. :(

Of the four, close to my house sushi places, this one of in my opinion the tastiest, and has the most rolls to choose from. It also does hibachi which is nice if you have that weird friend along that doesn’t like sushi. However, I never really get great service and the owner is a French guy, which kinda confuses me, and he kinda follows the costumers around and tries to talk to you while you’re eating. Other than that, though, a pretty good option for sushi in the Harvey area.

The sushi is better than most. Especially if your a beginner and just want to try something new. Theres a wide variety of selections. Ive had takeout and dined in. I really enjoyed them.

First off, our server sucked! He didn’t write down our order(a party of 7) and even after we commented on the lack of paper and pen, he forgot one of the items. Besides that, our hot green tea was not even luke warm. The rolls were too expensive for the size. We ordered 4 special rolls($ 13 – 16). All but one came out the same size as an eel roll($~6). One roll was called sashimi cucumber wrap. It was a small piece of salmon and tuna then filled out with snowcrab. How could you even call that a sashimi roll. Overall, I won’t come back. Why would you have a happy hour with cheap sushi and sashimi, but when customers are willing to pay«premium» prices the fish portions are tiny. Ridiculous!

I always sit at the sushi bar so the service is quick and on point. They have a wide variety of cooked and raw dishes. Their menu is created to please all kinds of palettes and cravings! I must try their habachi the next time I stop in. Which would be real soon!!! Arigato!!!

Whenever I have sushi on the Westbank, I go to Tennou. I know what I like, and that’s it. So when some friends suggested that we try Sakura, I was skeptical. First of all, I walked in, and the place smelled like fish. Now, yes, I know they serve fish, but is a place supposed to reek of it? We got regular sushi(not the Hibachi) and I wasn’t impressed at all. There wasn’t anything overly terrible about it, it just didn’t blow me away. Best described: it was what it was. I guess I would go back for the Hibachi, since I don’t know of any other Hibachi places in the area, but if I just wanted regular sushi, I would head down the street to Tennou.

We happened by this restaurant late one night not realizing they were due to close in 15 minutes. They welcomed us and took our huge order and never rushed us. The sushi was very fresh and very good. We felt bad about getting there so late so we tried to hurry and we ended up taking part of our order to go. The wait staff was very friendly and the food excellent. I’ll go back next time I’m in town.(see pics)
