I generally shop at the east bank SAMs club but today I was on the west bank and decided to go to this location. After finding the items I. Wedged, and waiting in self checkout lines in which two of the registers were broken, I checked out and an employee was standing right by the self check outs to check the receipt. At the other SAMs I have been to; after you get your recipes checked, you can skip the line at the exit door to get it checked there. Not so here, and they are very rude about telling you so. We waited in a huge line. Finally got someone’s attention and told he employee that we had already been checked. She said even so we had to get back in line and get checked at the door. You mean we wasted out time and the employee is wasting her time back there doing this for everyone? Crazy. Rude and crazy. I’ll stick to my metairie store!

Unorganized and not enough help. I waited 30 minutes, no exaggeration, for a case of almond milk. I will go to the east bank from now on.

Very disappointed about my experience at Sam’s Club today. We shopped here today for a party. We were offered to apply for a credit card and save $ 40.00 in doing so. It was never explained that the offer was: You had to be approved to get the $ 40.00, whuch I knew we would be approved, so we agreed to apply. We were taken out the line and moved to customer service. The young lady ran the credit, took the picture then said there was an error. We were approved for $ 4500.00. At this point we are told there was an error so we could not use the card today as stated, nor would we get the $ 40.00 off. This left a poor taste in the Sam’s experience as we’ve wasted time only to be told there was nothing that could be done. The manager, Lisa Mack, was called. Who showed no empathy. I advised I didn’t come for a fight, only the benefit I was told I would receive. She said she offered me a drink or something out the snack area, which is not comparable to what was offered, but was all she could do. In the end we were not compensated in anyway as the manager said it was nothing she could do and left without purchasing today. It’s really sad that Sam’s is a part of our community but this manager represented Sam’s in an uncaring way. Disappointed Former customer.

Don’t buy car batteries at this location! We bought a car battery two days ago. Our car died on the highway going home. Now we’re back trying to get a new one, but they have to run a diagnosis test. The mechanic name Josh told us it will take at least 30 minutes to a hour. If we can’t wait, we can go buy a new battery and return the two days old one back after they get the diagnosis. It has been about 20 minutes now. The cashier up front told us that we will be stuck with two batteries if the diagnosis come back good. Well then we try to talk to the manager name Earold. He was absolutely no help! He kept telling us that your car is killing the battery. We’re just trying to exchange the battery or return it so I can make it to work. He told us we will have to wait for the diagnosis and told me to call my work place. Now 40 minutes in, he told us he will go check on the battery. Came back out after 10 minutes, told us it only half way done and walk away. Now I’m here waiting longer than what the mechanic had told me. We got here at 8:30 am. This location have the worst mechanic, and the manager didn’t give a damn about customer service. Finally got out of this place at 11. Two and a half hours of my life I can’t get back!

This is ridiculous! On a busy weekend like today there are hardly any employees at the registers or the food court. Management is obviously non existent!

This Sam’s Club services the Westbank, so we’ve been members and shopping here since the 90s. My family buys everything in bulk, so I get the best prices on everything. Today, gallons of milk is $ 2.95 each. Can’t beat that! I’ve never had problems with this location. It stays busy, day and night. The self checkout lanes are convenient if you have 10 items or less. Otherwise, be prepared to stand in long checkout lanes.

I go for their brand of formula for my baby. Its a lot cheaper than name brand. A lot of items from their brand are just so good and for the price, you cant go wrong. Its nice to have one so close. Little downside is the long lines but we try to get self checkout so its a little better.

This sams is awesome. Very nice store, only complaint is the lack of lanes open to check out. Other than that great store.

I like Sam’s Club but your Customer Service really needs improvement. If you only have one person working the register it’s a real issue. All I wanted to do was exchange an item. When I got the item my intent was to exchange & go, not being the case here as I was told to stay in line(a long line mind you) to exchange my(ONE) item! Step up your customer service. That is all!

Typical Sams Club, but not as crowded. I live in St Bernard and i had to pick up my truck on the Westbank and we figured while over there stop by Sams. I accidentally passed them up, didn’t have a large sine out front like most. Parked went in and decided to get some pizza before shopping, The lady working there wasn’t that friendly and we had to wait for new pizza’s to be made. There wasn’t many people around so i guess she only made pizza’s when people ordered them so they are fresh, guess fresh is better then quick. We shopped and everything seemed the same as every other Sams Club. I wish they had places to sit down, my knees started to hurt mid shopping.

This is my go to Sam’s that’s on this side of the river. I normally go to assist my mom with her grocery shopping because I hate that she has to go alone. She’s like superwoman always lugging cases of water and what not. This Sam’s lot is always packed when I drive by. I despise grocery shopping but can’t help it if I need to. The lot isn’t the greatest but the inside is pretty clean to me. The last I heard this was the Sam’s someone tried to steal a tv from, but miserably failed after putting it into the truck. Everything is usually in stock up until recently due to the hurricane and foodstamps going on. My only complaint is the long line for check out. It wasn’t so bad the last time I went but usually they are understaffed in that area. And people are pushing carts and carts of merchandise. So it takes a while to pass through but I believe it’s faster than Walmart next door.

It gets 4 stars because it’s the best stocked Sam’s Club out of the 3 in metropolitan area. I’ve driven here many times to pick up items they were sold out of at the Airline location. Now I come here instead, but try to avoid the rush hour traffic(the bridge coming to West Bank, and Manhattan coming to East Bank is just awful).
