The worst service I’ve ever received from a phone company in fifteen years of cell phone usage! None of them seem to know what they’re doing, and they say really stupid stuff. I spent 3 hours one day trying to get my service switched from sprint to start a plan with my wife who already had Verizon. Then I had to come back the next day for an hour and a half, finally coming out with a temp number. After a week of waiting which they told me should be a few hours but might take 5 days. I called 611 and within fifteen minutes had my number. Why couldn’t they do that in store? Then when I complained that my charger didn’t work with my car, they asked ‘do you have another car?’ Heck of a solution, a new car! My Sprint store bent over backwards to make me happy, and while I enjoy the cell service of Verizon, i will avoid this particular store like the plague!

Amy Loving helped me today. I went in for an upgrade plus questions about jumping into my own plan. She was very helpful and very knowledgable. Thank you Amy!

Really great managers. They helped me out big time when my iPhone 4 finally died and I needed to upgrade. They went out of their way to find me an iPhone 6 when they were sold out all over New Orleans. When they finally found me one almost a week later, I got a personal call to let me know and they were helpful setting it up and explaining the Edge plan. When I was foolish enough to get tempered glass but not a case and a few days later my screen cracked, they helped me yet again by refunding my tempered glass, putting it on for me and giving me a good deal on a case once I was able to replace my iPhone from Apple(another very helpful business at the Lakeside Shopping center). One of the managers has a little bit of an attitude, but everyone else was pleasant to talk to.

I’m familiar with the operation in this types of facilities, so navigating was quite easy: phone issues to the left and payment processing/new service to your right. Accessories bordered the walls and were also present in the center of the floor, hello focal point. There was a friendly looking security guard in the rear of the store, as he was all too visible; I always question their presence in these types of facilities, but hey appppppparently he’s there to serve a purpose, so on with my business at hand. I journeyed into the store, trying to pull my infamous«stick & move» caper, get what I need and go… after all I had an appointment to repair my shattered iPhone 5 screen. AnyWHO… the friendly staff member inquired about my needs, offered the VZW branded item, yea for you on promoting your company brand. All said, I was in the store about 10 minutes, start to finish, walk-in, greet the staff member, make my selection, cash out and leave… Hello, talk about efficiency; I love it!!! I like the location of this facility as it’s located in a strip-mall, with ample parking; I found the inside to also be spacious, moderately decorated and properly staffed. When in the area, say maybe later today Sept 9th after the Apple Announcement, I’d visit this location again.

Misleading, manipulative and condescending service. Numbers quoted by my salesman at time of purchase were less than charge, list and prices presented at other branches. Monthly and one time fees were presented without reference source at $ 25(really 28/month) $ 160(really $ 170) and $ 250(really $ 650). On top of misleading and unprofessional service the salesman was condescending and manipulative. He snapped his fingers and congratulated me for understanding how their plans work on two occasions. Following a lengthy visit with another branch I realized I had incorrect information and had been congratulated for significantly incorrect calculations. To change out this the plan I was strong armed into, they would like to charge me a «restocking» fee, even though I am not returning merchandise. This salesman should be paying this fee and have any potential commission revoked.

Clean store but the wait times are horrible. There we about 5 people in the store with as many employees and we still had to wait almost an hour.

What happened??? I remember when Verizon was on the other side of the street and people were nice and quick and there wasn’t so many customers(because they were faster). i sat for an hour to speak to someone while it was filled with people waiting, only for her to tell us «well i haven’t ate yet so if you deal with that(the bill) i’m going to go eat? never again, i guess i’ll go to one of the best buy verizons or those authorized dealers

The Good: I was greeted at the door and waited on in about 5 minutes. The Bad: Everything else… especially the knowledge level of the service staff. I just wanted to buy a phone; an iPhone 4S: no contract, no nothing else; just the phone. The guy just couldn’t understand why I would pay«full retail price» and he tried to convince me otherwise. But I didn’t want otherwise. I asked for a manager but he refused. So much so, that I walked out. This guy let $ 500 just walk out the door! Don’t waste your time here unless you just have to go. Find another Verizon Wireless location. The one in Metairie is great.

So, I purchase a new phone online to avoid having to go to a Verizon store in person. Where do I end up the same day my phone arrives? A Verizon store — in particular, this Verizon store. See… I decided to dive right into downloading all sorts of apps for my new Droid. Perhaps I should have spent more time learning how to actually use the phone, but I figured I’d learn as I went along. There came a point mid-afternoon when all web-based stuff(photo texts, apps, browser, etc) all stopped working. I played with the settings for a while and nothing seemed to work. Rather than messing with it on my own some more, I decided to stop by the Verizon store after work. I had to go to Walmart down the street anyway. I checked in and had no wait time — they called me up immediately. This exceptionally wonderful Verizon employee(I want to say her name was Christine, but to be honest, I don’t remember because my kid was not behaving) helped me out. She downloaded an app killer, which apparently comes in handy, and changed a few settings. All of a sudden, I was back on track! She even noticed the Unilocal App icon and asked what Unilocal was… so hopefully I sold her on our little group here :) Anyway, great experience, very helpful, and I’ll definitely return with any future issues that I can’t seem to figure out on my own.
