Scribanos Market and Deli

I sometimes drive all the way to Boston’s North End for real authentic Italian fare. I have tried many places on cape cod and am usually disappointed. However, I recently met one of the employees, and decided to give this place a try. I was blown away! The food is even better than my grandma used to make. The staff is friendly, service is great… and did I mention the food? Yum yum. My new favorite place… tastes of Italy, in Harwichport.

Their sandwiches and salads are fresh and very good. I went in to buy some cold cuts, olives and marinated mushrooms and tried their take out spaghetti and meatballs. The meat balls and sauce were very tasty and it was very reasonably priced at about $ 6 for a small order.

We were renting a vacation home down the road, and decided to stop in for dinner… we were so happily surprised — what a treat!
This place has only been open for less than a month, and they have mastered Italian deliciousness. We got sandwiches, cold salads and soup, and ate in. There’s a generous eating area, though the set up works particularly well for take out, too. I’m still thinking about the lemon arugula pasta salad I had with my chicken pesto panini. These guys know what they’re doing, and they are authentic Italian guys. The owner came over and chatted with us, and was so kind to our three year old. Felt like we left the Cape and were transported to a little Italian neighborhood for the night. We will be back!

First time eating here. Authentic Italian food and deli, great looking sausages, cheeses, olives, salads. We split the #1 sub and a point of the potatoe salad. Both were delicious and loaded with flavor. We took it to go and ate on a blanket overlooking the harbor. Great for picnic food!

Great «Hero» sandwiches (#1 with red peppers was the best), made to order right on the spot. Take out or eat-​in. Great prepared entrees to take home for dinner. Finally, we have a good deli in the neighborhood!!!
Oh yea, they have Italian Ices at the side take out window…

Popped in after a trip to the trampolines. Unexpected gem! Family run Italian deli with delicious made to order sandwiches, cold cuts, prepared foods, Italian sausages, cheeses, salads. #10 Chicken pesto sandwich was delicious. The Cape needs a deli like this. Will definitely return! Highly recommend.

Clean, bright and excellent service. We popped in just to poke around and left with some cheese, hard salamis and bruschettini to snack on. We will definitely go back to try their prepared food and sandwiches.
