My hair was very long and I had a lot of dead ends. The receptionist that day cut my hair and it looked nice. She took the time to make my layers match, but when I got to the car and took a good look, that’s when I noticed how choppy the layers were. You get what you pay for here. Honestly, I’d rather pay more for a haircut that won’t force me into tying my hair into a bun to hide it.

Let me start off by saying the two previous visits we had were fine. Vera and Stella are great hair stylists and I highly recommend them. Yesterday I called in at 1045 to make an appointment at 1145 with one of them. The woman on the phone said neither were there. I asked if someone could take us at that time, she said no problem come in there are two of us. Great. So I am a caregiver. I take care of the sweetest 76 year old woman. It is very hard to get her ready and out the door, takes a good 45 minutes. She is very weak and can’t sit up for long periods and be out for long. I get her to hair cuttery at 1145 on the dot, walk up to the counter. I tell the woman I have an appointment for Joan at 1145. She then proceeds to tell me VERYRUDELY that there is no appointment(I talked to her earlier) and that there are two people ahead of us. I remind her of my call and she says I told you I could not take an appointment. Really? Because I’ve made appointments before. She claims the policy is if you don’t know the stylist name she can’t make any appointments. I was really confused because when I had spoken to her earlier it seemed just fine that we were coming at 1145. This woman was so rude, her tone was just ridiculous. So I explained again that I called to make that appointment because the woman seated her cannot sit up that long and is very weak. She said well you’ll just have to wait. Fine. We’re out. I felt so terrible. My client was looking forward to finally getting her hair done. When we got in the car she said I cannot believe that woman’s attitude. It takes a lot to get her out of the house and it is such a struggle walking, I got her to the car and Mari comes back out saying oh a stylist will be coming in in 10 minutes if we want to wait. After her rude attitude, no thanks, my client was already upset and just wanted to go home. She needs a lesson in compassion and a serious attitude adjustment. I don’t care how great Stella & Vera are, Mari has ruined this place for us and we won’t give a single cent to this place again. Waste of time and my clients energy. Huge disappointment.

I was in need of color badly. I stopped in and Tammy took care of me. After a color consultation we agreed on some of what I wanted and what she thought would look good on me with my skin tone and face structure. She asked me when was the last time I loved my hair and I told her that it has been awhile. After she was done, I must say I love my hair!!! I found a new stylist. Thank you Tammy, it looks and feels great.

I had been looking for a stylist that would do my child’s hair and do a good job without scaring the poor kid. I found that with Melissa! Both of my children adore her and now can’t wait to get a haircut even if they don’t need one. She gets them so occupied, but at the same time focused that they allow her to cut their hair and they behave. Not easy from a 3 yr old. Now the entire family goes to Melissa because of her customer service and cutting abilities… THANKYOUMELISSA!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible experience at this location a year ago went in for a cut and color, I left with half the color still on my face the girl(red hair, young, very skinny) I forgot her name she was more concerned she had got dye on her shirt. When I asked about my face she said«oh just scrub with dish soap when you get home» REALLY??? The manager wasn’t any better… no smile back guarantee The cut was uneven just horrible they need to shut that location down. Thank God I found a location that cares about their clients.

I have been coming to this location for about a year on and off. I needed a trim 2 months ago, and was tight on cash so I made my appointment with Melissa… or Melanie. .(I can never get it right) I have no idea what her issue was that day, but she BUTCHEREDMYHAIR. She seemed very rushed, very inconvenienced by my presence, and very anxious to get me out of her chair. It was Labor Day, so I’m not sure if she was over booked or maybe had plans. But here’s some advice TELLTHECLIENTYOU’REOVERBOOKEDBEFORESINGLEHANDEDLYBUTCHERINGTHEIRHAIR. I am writing this review 2 months later because I had to go out and spend a few hundreds on clip In extensions because it was THAT bad. It’s still messed up, but I’m too scared to have any other stylist touch my hair. In all honesty, you get what you pay for. Don’t expect much from their customer service or their experience with cutting hair. Don’t be a cheap ass like I was. Go to the higher end salon who value you as a client, because this place did not at all. She rolled her eyes and muttered bitchy comments under her breath.. You should try another profession. Cutting hair isn’t for you.

Flew in from London, needing a haircut for customer meetings the next day. They fitted me in at 8:30pm, gave me a great haircut, found me a cab and are really nice, friendly staff. Excellent service at a good price.

This hair salon is «hit or miss» when it comes to finding the RIGHT professional hair stylist to cut and color hair. I have naturally curly, thick hair with waves so I have never needed to get a perm. Over the years, I have received compliments on how beautiful my hair is and many have asked me «who permed your hair» so I say thank you and«it’s naturally curly.» However, over the last several years the turn-over with the staff at this Hair Cuttery has been fairly high. There are only a handful of employees who have worked here for several years. Usually, these are the ones I try to make an appointment with, but it can be challenging at times. I recently went to get my hair cut here. The more experienced hair stylists were not working on the day that I came in for a cut. On this day, I did not make an appointment. I walked in and decided to get my hair cut by someone who has never cut my hair. She assured me that she has experience dealing with thick, curly hair and when I asked her how many years of experience she had, she said, «well over three» but that was all I could get out of her. I am seriously considering finding a new place to get my hair cut. I didn’t notice the length while I was at the salon since my hair was not soaking wet. My hair is thick, curly and wavy and dries quickly. I am able to tell the length much better when my hair is very wet(like right after I shampoo and condition it with my WEN products). Anyway, I was not happy with the end result. It is time for me to find a new hair stylist, and FAST!!!

Jeanette can’t do up do’s! I came in as part of a bridal party. There was 9 of us and we went in rounds I was in the 1st round, 9am. Jeanette is an assistant manager and did my hair, or a least attempted to do my hair. She teased it so much that it looked like a ratted nest! I believe a family of birds could have lived in it! Mind you I have long wavy thick hair. She said she had to make it BIG and would take it down. HELLO we are not in the 80’s, I showed you a picture of what I wanted, so make it happen. She kept asking me questions on how to do it. I was like I don’t know your the stylist. After several failed attempts at trying to put my hair in a pony tail with a rubber band and ripping it out with my hair attached she finally got it up. She turned me away from the mirror so I couldn’t see what was going on. I kept making faces at the other bridesmaids to see how it was looking but they didn’t get the faces I was making. I was trying to be patient with all of the pulling and tugging. Finally she said she was done. She gives me the mirror and it looked like a 5 year old did my hair, it was all nappy and messy. I told her I didn’t like it, then she took it all down and again pulled the rubberband out of my hair and said«i’m not gonna lie but this is gonna hurt!» I held my breath as she ripped the rubberband out of my hair. Trying to be a good christian girl and not lose my cool I told her I needed a break. I was so mad and about to cry. I told the bride and her stylist that I can’t deal with this any more(one hour of pulling and teasing for nothing!) She came by and said she was trying to fix my hair but at that point I was done. Finally, Natalie did my hair. What a breath of fresh air. She nicely comed out the birds nest and did what I asked. No questions on how she should do it. Showed her the picture and she got to work. She even trimmed my bangs for me. I asked Jeanette to do this too but she messed that up too and Natalie fixed it for me. I really liked Natalie and think I will come back to see her again. She did a really nice job and I like her swag. So if you go here beware of Jeanette, just ask for Natalie!

This review is about my experience at this salon with a stylist named Annie. I have had other people do my hair there before and it wasn’t bad, but not awesome. Annie does a wonderful job. She is talented in her work and does foils quickly. I am very happy with my hair since Annie has been doing it. She was able to lift my color from brown to blonde without causing much damage. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with damaged hair. The prices are awesome. If you buy a package deal, you’re saving a butt load of cash. The price for a blow-out starts at $ 15, which is great considering other salons in the area start at $ 40. My blowout from Annie lasted almost 4 days. I have an oily scalp so I wasn’t expecting it to last two days, let alone four!
