I moved out of Hasbrouck Heights back in the 80’s. I stopped in to Lovey’s on a trip while I was up North. The Pizza was incredible and really enjoyed talking about the old Hasbrouck Heights from back in the day. I will always be stopping in when I go up north…

Always ordered out for the fried shrimp dinner. The shrimp was always fresh. Just ordered tonight and looks like they went to frozen shrimp all thee same size and shrimp. So disappointed. Will not order again.

When I lived in lodi back in the days we used to get these guys from time to time so I figured I’d go against the grain and give them a shot. I had a Sicilian slice, it was light and airy and a big square because they hooked it up with a corner slice, that was a win. I consider myself a pretty good cool especially when it comes to Italian and steaks so another spot I thought the sauce needed some more flavor but with some garlic the slice was pretty good. Also had a 7″ chicken parm sandwich and it was huge! I’m really glad I didn’t order a 14″ or I’d def have taken half of it home with me. The chicken cutlets they used were fried up nice and had a good amount of cheese but again the sauce came up a little short for me not bad but not a ton of flavor which is important but I put some garlic powder on this too and it helped. The roll they used was also fresh and good as well. Friend had mussels and a tuna sandwich and she liked both from what she said. Overall a decent pizza place, wouldn’t be my first choice but I’d definitely give them another shot.

So I used to love Lovey’s Pizza. What can I say they had the most generic tasting food so just about anyone would eat it. The delivery time has always been amazingly fast. I am no longer going to order from here. I recently ordered a large pie and yes it was delivered fast. I am upset because the pizza box is a large advertisement for online gambling. I will add a picture so this does not get easily forgotten. Pizza shops are normally a family kind of place. How many people remember having pizza as a kid — probably most of you. Well now Lovey’s is targeting children for online gambling, What else could I think — consider the number of children that are now reading about gambling with real money online because a pizza box told them about it. I cannot support a pizzeria that supports gambling — forget the blatant advertising to children of gambling with real money online.

You would think a place that has been around for so long would serve good food. Sadly the food is mediocre at best. Pizza is lacking and so are the hot sandwiches. Can see how they stay open

If I could give this No stars I would. Ordered a side of meatballs they were over cooked and the sauce tasted so bitter. Grilled Chicken Caesar wrap was drenched in dressing wasn’t even able to eat it! And a Turkey sandwich, the turkey tasted like It was a few days old. Disappointed and such a waste of $ 22

The quality of the cheese slice and the Sicilian has tailed off a bit since my previous visits. Not sure if it was an off night but to maintain a 4-star status with me you can’t have any off nights. This is why I keep going back to Pizza Town(Elmwood Park). They keep pushing out the same delicious slice night after night. The same can no longer be said about Lovey’s…

Was curious about this place for a long time, about what kinda stuff they have. Finally I went in on a Sunday evening and found the restaurant empty(was a sign, should’ve ran away). Saw their menu and found that it did not have Pasta Primavera. The lady asked if she could help, told her about what I’m trying to find, to which she said, «Oh we don’t have that on the menu but we can definitely make it for you». Was glad to hear that and ordered to go. Was shocked when I opened the box at home, it was absolutely disgusting. Pasta was inconsistently cook with boiled veggies and a very thin marinara sauce. Yukkk. and to rub salt on the wound«NO trace of Parmesan or creamy sauce«. Is this what you get for 12 bucks, sucks totally. Guess what, no Love for Lovey’s

My place near work closed so i started looking around and found Lovey’s. Started with sandwiches and they we great. Moved into pizza and it was good. Ordered a Sicilian pie on a whim and loved it. I can easily kill a medium myself for dinner. They also make the buffalo chicken pizza the right way too with the wing sauce instead of pizza sauce, fantastic. Staff is awesome. Whoever answers the phone, she is very nice, never had a problem. The owner says hi and asks me how I’m doing every time I’m in or out of there. That makes me feel very welcome in an area I’m still relatively new too. I can only dock a star for this. There’s only three spots in front which I don’t have any problem with if I were eating in, but when I come in for a pickup I think her son is always parked out front in one or one and a half of the spots. I don’t really understand that. Ohwell, all in all I’m impressed and recommend it to my coworkers all the time.

Lovey’s Pizza is a decent pizza place for the surrounding area. My coworkers and I ordered a large Sicilian to split between us and the pie was not half bad. However the one thing was that the pizza was not very filling. After we had ate all of our slices, most of us were still hungry. But the pie tasted good. The place is not easy for parking. I didn’t see any private lot that you could park in and the main road that it was on was more than crowded. Being in the Suburban was not easy for finding a spot. You mainly either have to park illegally or find a spot further down one of the side streets. The staff that work there are very friendly and helpful. They are attentive to you as soon as you walk through the door, ensuring that you are totally satisfied. Overall I gave the place three stars for their friendly service, the good food and the nice mom and pop shop atmosphere. Parking was a little difficult but was not a deal breaker. I just suggest if you plan on splitting a pie to not go beyond more than three per pie.

Decent place for pizza but their subs are far better. They have daily specials for 3 bucks that are worth every penny. Customer service is ok but not great. Not bad for a weeknight pizza or sandwich

I know the old farts from the town love Lovey’s, but let’s be objective: Their pizza stinks on ice. The only thing they have going is their reasonably priced specials of the day like their meatball hero. While we’re in the Great Depression II, for $ 3.00, it makes a decent meal and you could live to tell your grandchildren about how you’ve survived the Great Depression II.

Used to hate this place growing up. Within the past year, their pizzas have been great though. I get delivery from here every Friday night, but I prefer dining in. Their pizza tastes so much better when it is just reheated as opposed to made specifically for your order. I don’t know what it is, but I love it. I also recommend the bruschetta and Patriot Wrap, really different and delicious. Come in often enough and the staff are the almost like family. Great people.

We mostly order deliveries from Lovey’s when staying in a neighboring town. This is a step up from pizzerias in the area and way better than all of the franchises. The sauce tastes freshly made, rather than just added to, ad infinitum, the way so many places do. The cheeses taste fresh and they don’t use the cheap, overly salted, mozzarella which never gets that stringy, pully texture when heated. I get the lasagna and the pizza usually. This place is evidently not always consistent. We had two lasagnas where the cheese had soured. The delivery service was slow, way too slow on several occasions. We were debating that sometimes the parents left the kids in charge and things kind of fell apart. Who knows?

In today first time. Nothing real impressive about the ambiance, but most great food places… don’t. I had capillini, marinara meat sauce with sausage and was VERY impressed with the food quality. And I was eating within about 10 minutes. Of course, I was here about 430pm, so not in primetime eating hours. I hope to be able to share this with someone at another time. I do not live in the area and seldom visit.

I’ve been told to be wary of Lovey’s since the reconstruction, that it was better before it burned down, blah blah blah. etc and whatnot. I’m here to tell you. don’t believe anyone that tells you that. After moving I was looking for a good pizza place and struggled for awhile, then tried Lovey’s and I’m staying there. Delivery is always pretty quick and never a problem with an order, nor changing anything on the order if there needs to be. The pie is crisp and the cheese is nice and bubbly, toppings aren’t burnt but cooked properly. and if you are a fan, try the white pie! Incidentially, I also recently tried some of their hot wraps for lunch, and it’s a great deal and good tasting, try the Patriot Wrap special!

Not the best pizza within a few blocks, nevermind the entire town(not that it’s a big town — only about a mile and a half). They have«sub of the day» and«pasta of the day» specials that are absolutely worth it. $ 2.95 for a sub and $ 2.95 for a pasta. Different sub each day… italian, meatball, chicken(red or white), sausage. Overall, don’t get the pizza, you NEED to get the sub of the day. Amazing price for actually really good subs.

This place was my one great love for pizza about 5 years ago. I remember this date specifically because it was here that I fell in love with my boyfriend of 5 years. We sat down and ordered their special one large pie for $ 5 and we devoured the whole thing. It was perfectly cheesy with a good amount of sauce with a great tasting crust that I actually ate(who normally eats the crust?). Their pizza was perfect! Then the damned place burnt down! I was so angry. This was OUR restaurant. They took about a year it seemed to rebuild and they used this time to yuppify the place. So disappointing the money seemed into upping the prices and the tacky décor. It was old school Italian with pics of Frankie, the Yankees and the local softball team on the walls and now its fake tile and wanna be Olive Garden. The pizza was never the same again and reminds me of every other pizzeria. Maybe it takes time to get that build up of perfect taste and this might be something that a brand new expensive pizza oven cannot do better than an old school oven with years of burny goodness.

Big portions of okay tasting food. I mainly call for delivery to look at their bumper cars.
