Very knowledgeable small town feel old school hardware store. I suggest looking for a large friendly gentleman with a handlebar mustache by the name of Chuck– this guy literally is a gome handyman genius. He should have his own reality show. I hear tell he also is a large MSU fan and frequent tailgater who enjoys a cold refreshment.

For three decades, Haslett True Value Hardware has been, and still is, my «go to» place when I have a question, problem, or a need to fix something. As a female who is not mechanically inclined, I’ve never felt taken for granted, judged or ignored. Instead, I’ve been well assisted in my quest and most of the time, it’s fun! My questions get answered if I have one, I often learn a handy tidbit or two. My problems are usually solved in a friendly, helpful, prompt, and sometimes humorous fashion. For me, this truly is a neighborhood enterprise and I’m happy to pay a little extra for the extra care and attention I receive.

Best small hardware around! Friendly — COMPETENT! If they don’t have it — they seemingly can not only order it — but are WILLING to order it! Thanks Haslett Hardware!

I’ve shopped at this True Value a dozen times; usually they have what I need and offer friendly service. Today I stopped in to buy teflon tape, but left empty handed because they wouldn’t run a credit card for $ 1.50 and I didn’t have cash. Should I drive another mile to Home Depot? or should I pay the $ 2.50ATM service charge down the street? It would just be nice if the«convenient» hardware store down the street would cater to all of its customers, including those that don’t carry cash.
