I don’t normally write reviews but what an amazing experience I had at D Thomas Fine Miniatures, taking a class and creating a wonderful miniature fireplace. The shop is simply exquisite with beautiful and fascinating pieces in every direction. If you love Dollhouses, miniature desks, furniture, clocks and so much more this is the place. Darren, the proprietor of the shop is very warm, helpful and you can tell immediately that miniatures are his passion. I have signed up for a few additional workshops and look forward to mastering my skills and enjoying the world of miniatures once again.
What a gem of a shop and if you are in Hastings on The Hudson make it a «must see», Introduce yourself to the world of miniatures and marvel at the detail that goes into each and every piece. Loved my time at D Thomas Fine Miniatures and you will too.

The charming village of Hastings-on-Hudson is so very fortunate to be the home of D. Thomas Fine Miniatures. The shop is as inviting as it is elegant, the items for sale are truly exquisite yet affordable and the gallery space and special events are enlightening and inspiring to both the seasoned miniature enthusiast and beginner collector like me. I’ve taken several workshops and classes and they have all been so informative and enjoyable that I have signed up for the Open Studio program so I can continue with my projects. The proprietor, Darren Scala, is as helpful and knowledgable as he is charming, I cannot wait for my next visit!

A special find in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, it’s part gallery and part retail with a special craft room where many interesting, relevant workshops are offered. The personable shop owner is well-versed on his fine inventory. If miniature collections or dollhouses are your thing, you don’t want to miss a chance to visit this rare breed of shop. Warm, inviting space in soothing tones sets the back drop for the beautiful artisan collections, gallery space and dollhouses. DIY, admire, browse, collect and ooh and ah at all the marvelous minis!
I rekindled my childhood dreams and found my inner craftsperson, meeting some fun and interesting like-minded folks in the process at D. Thomas’ fun and educational workshops.
So happy I found this enchanting spot!
