Food was mediocre. The stuffed pepper had undercooked quinoa and the brownie had a weird after taste. Very disappointing after reading the good reviews.

Live in Hastings but came here last night with our daughter and son-in-law from the City. Steak and eggs, delicious, soba noodles, yummy, and ribs very good. Mixed drinks, kudos to the bartender. But the outstanding element was the server — very professional — much appreciated.

First time here and I’m a convert. Sunday night, got a little busy at 6pm. A few families with young kids. Gets a little noisy, but hey. Our server(Andrea) and bartender(Jeremy) were very attentive. The beer was interesting and eclectic. Nice picks! We had the Mill Burger(totally hit the spot!). The Fried Chicken sandwich(don’t let the name fool you into thinking it’s nothing special. It’s da bomb!!!) And the soba noodles with pork belly was decadent. And delicious. We ended with the key lime meringue and the brownie sundae. Perfect! Thank you!

Good burgers, great cocktails(make your own old fashions!). The best part about this place is the staff, so nice and chill.

The service was great and the beer list is solid. However, the food is not very good. Brick-oven pizza was too thick and not very tasty. The Wings were ok and my son enjoyed the burger. The rice plate was totally underwhelming. I hope they improve there dishes because the staff is great. The kitchen just needs to work a little harder and smarter.

The burgers are $ 16! Décor lacks warmth… Annoying classic rock soundtrack… But the burger IS good.

Been coming here more often and feel like the food has improved enough to bump it up a star:) There are occasional«meh» dishes, but overall I think the food holds up better now. I’m especially loving the warm spinach salad these days. Still a great, warm, friendly place with very good drinks. TVs so you can watch a game, but not a sports bar. Definitely quieter in the back seating area. Call ahead for a table. Service can be a little spotty depending on the night, but staff is always friendly.

LOVETHISFOOD! Right now, the octopus, nachos with Korean flavors(and I don’t particularly love nachos OR Korean food!), the gnocchi and the BBQ chicken wings are fantastic. And the mushroom pizza. So so tasty! This place is friendly and can be loud when it’s busy. Service has been a bit sketchy; the waiter may take your food order but not your drink order, or a latecomer to your party may not be attended to. You will wait and wait for a second drink or your bill for sure. You may even have to track down the waiter to request either. Still worth it — this food is fresh and made with care and just so good. Make a reservation on weekends.

I’m in town about once a month for work and this is my go-to location. Friendly bartender and staff with a laid back atmosphere. The beer selection is always rotating and the menu highlights local, fresh food. The wings are excellent as are the pizzas, but there is always something new to try. The steak tacos and burgers are another favorite. I have always had a great experience here.

Stopped in last Friday for some after-work drinks with colleagues, and left VERY impressed! A fine and diverse craft beer selection, to be sure. Given a list of beers I had never tried, I sampled a stout, a cider, and a lager. The bartender was very knowledgeable about what the selections were, which was most appreciated. As food food, I tried the buffalo wings(pleasant flavor, not too hot, and plenty meaty) and the Nacho Mama’s Nachos, which had a Korean twist on a bar food classic. The plate was VERY good: a kimchee base with some VERY tender Korean beef, with cheese of course, and a Sirhacha drizzle for a bit of heat. I definitely recommend it! While the bar itself is fairly small, the ambience is cozy and charming, with ample seating in the bar area. It’s a great spot within a few minutes’ walk from the Metro North station; make it a point to take an hour for yourself and company if passing by!

Great little place in the rivertowns. Has the«Brooklyn» Vibe for sure. Great rotating craft beer selection. Food prices are bit high and the selection is a small, but that’s purposeful. I just removed a star because the food selection is lacking for those that do not like a lot of variety. Atmosphere is cool.

Good atmosphere. Food is okay. Four of us went and ordered the burger, steak tacos, summer pasta, and ribs. Can’t say much about the burger or steak tacos but the pasta and ribs were normal. The ribs weren’t fall off the bones easy to eat. Just tasted like it had regular BBQ sauce on it. Had to really hold and bite into the meat. The pasta was really oily. Paid $ 2 extra for crispy pork belly to come with it but there was nothing crispy about the meat. The tater tots appetizers were good. Tasted like it had mashes potatoes as it’s filling.

Had my nieces bridal shower there .been before and requested the delish goat cheese dip amongst the various small plates my sister requested. The staff and Jeremy, the owner couldn’t have been more accomodating ! From decorations to food and drinks to requests(however quirky !) they catered to our every whim. It all. made for a fun. shower and made my niece happy… and that made us happy! Go here for the beer and small plates. in the winter best veggie white pasta fagioli ever !!

I came here a week ago with my best friend for a quick dinner and a quick dinner it was. I was expecting the place to be crowded and loud since it was a Saturday night but it turned out to be pretty comfortable. The atmosphere was very relaxed. There was a nice mix of people(from the young to the older folks to anyone in between), the music wasn’t overwhelming, and the place was full but it wasn’t packed. We got booth seats and ordered the lobster roll(for her) while I got the portobello sandwich, which I admit, the only reason I got it was because I love caramelized onions. My friend also got the draught coffee which was decent. Not one of my favorites. The food was quick and it was solid. The portions were perfect. The dishes were flavorful. We polished off our plates and we were satisfied. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, warm, and funny. I would come back!

Stopped in on a Wednesday night. Sat at the bar. Ordered Chicken with coconut ginger rice, paired it with a glass of Gurner Veltliner, a slightly sweet but refreshing Austrian white wine. Everything was delish. Service was attentive but not intrusive. This place has a nice chill vibe with healthy mix of commuters, locals and hipsters.

Nice little place. Good burger and fries with a big beer/ale list. Heartily recommend this place !! I forgot we had the asparagus which was spectacular the flavor was wonderful and they had an egg on top of them. This is the best asparagus I’ve had in years and I make it all the time. It was $ 11 but it showed a lot of work to it and it was a nice serving.

Really great spot. You’ll notice prices are maybe a couple dollars higher than what you’d normally expect to pay for bar food but when you factor in the quality of the ingredients, the great ambience and décor, and the absolutely top-notch service, you realize this place is a bargain. The only thing holding this place back from a fifth star in my book is the food is just shy of being amazing. Their menu is solid but execution has been inconsistent in the few times I’ve been here. I found the kale salad is a bit too dry and doesn’t have much going on in terms of flavors(also a touch on the small side). The burgers would’ve been great but my groups medium rares all ended up being medium wells(After almost an hour wait for a table during one of our visits we were too hungry to send it back). And the chipotle citrus wings which were phenomenal during my first trip here, had almost no salt the second time I came. That being said they have a very creative menu that’s just enough of a departure from run-of-the-mill bar food, lots of things that are made in-house and ingredients that don’t seem like they opted for the cheapest option available. The attention to detail is very evident and more than enough reason for me to keep coming back.

This is a sweet neighborhood place that attracts different groups of local folks. So if you’re like me and want to have a conversation over dinner, go early. You’ll be eating with older folks and the families with little kids. But when the bar scene starts a little later, it’s impossible to hear anything! During my first visit, we started with the Artichoke & Goat Cheese Dip($ 9). The dip itself is a little bland but that’s not a big complaint. It’s a generously-sized, rich appetizer that comes with both bread and crudités for anyone who wants to feel more virtuous munching on veggie sticks. There was so much to eat that three of us kept coming back to the dip during the entire dinner. I had the $ 11 Kale Salad. This being a farm-to-table place, the kale was fresh and satisfying. Both the $ 15 Mill Burger and the Pork Meatball Pizza($ 13) went over very well at our table. We were so stuffed that we didn’t have enough room to try the desserts. Next time!

I came for Fathers’ Day with knowing the kitchen was closed. I love all the local beer selections and The Witch and the Bunny cocktail. Fresh ingredients and local made spirits. The bartender is very professional and all the regulars light up when they come in to see Liz. I hope she learns my drink here at The Mill, like she does for all the regulars. I will be back for the food. What a lovely sleepy town! P. S. The soap in the bathroom is actual Meyer’s Hand Soap! What an honest and decent place!

Opened recently and looks really good. Very clean interior, chalkboards for beer and wine, high top tables and a bar in front, more intimate seating in back. I really liked the Edison bulbs hanging over each table, gives it that industrial feel. Started with the wings. Got the house buffalo sauce which was absolutely delicious and perfectly accompanied by the avocado ranch dip. The wings themselves while very good, are quite small. Not the jumbo fair of most places these days, so I recommend a dozen if you are two people or more. I ordered the Mill Burger for my entrée. It was very good. Juicy and flavorful. It comes with cheese, greens and tomatoes. The burger came with a side of fries which were golden and cooked very nicely. They came pre-seasoned with salt and pepper, which was a bit annoying, as I hardly use any salt. I got talked into dessert. A dark chocolate and white chocolate pudding with pumpkin whipped cream. Not usually a fan of the white chocolate, but this was really good. Honestly, I think that whipped cream could make anything taste wonderful. Great new place. Glad I’m so close. I’ll definitely be back.
