Branchinellis is one of the most overrated restaurants I’ve been to in recent history. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but it wasn’t anything above and beyond your average long island Italian restaurant. I’m inclined to believe that waiting in line tends to skew people’s opinion, amplifying the experience of eating average Italian fare. Prices were fair, service was mediocre(little to no smiles, ditto for manners), food was overly greasy, atmosphere was familial. All in all I would only recommend going here if your expectations aren’t overly high.

The grandma pizza is so good! This place is a regular for us. Always busy but very good service. You can call ahead and place your order. Super convenient for pick ups.

How is this place so packed all the time? People love long waits for mediocre food and service apparently. After numerous positive recommendations I have given this place several chances. I have been let down each time. There are much better options in the area. Not even close to the best pizza on Long Island. Not even the best in the immediate area. There are 4 better places for pizza within a 5 minute drive of here. And, considering you will probably wait 15 mins for a slice, you will still save time.

What people think new york pizza should taste like could be found at branchinellis. If you want to have that legendary new York pizza where everybody says there’s nothing like new York pizza, then come to this place that follows in this very wonderful stereo type. Branchinellis does indeed prove, new York pizza is hands down the very best ! Eatingpizza all over new york, including the outer boroughs, Queens etc, branchinellis in this small town a lot of people don’t know about has to be hands down one of THE best slices of delicious pies I have ever had. Their sicilian pie is just out of this world. Pepperoni with sausage is my personal route to go and with each and every bite you can’t help but go mmm … amazing ! A little pricey but when you bite into it and savor each and every ingredient, the price just does not mayter. Everything goes out the door. The food that is served apart from this is nothing short of mediocre; pasta, soups, nothing special going on here. Is it bad? No, not at all actually. Is it special? Again, no, not at all actually. If heading to branchinellis do yourself a favor and get their sicilian pie! Save yourself the time and money and maybe try and avoid sitting down on their restaurant side. Look at it as a pizzeria, who happens to serve pasta on the side. Because of the pizza and pizza alone this place deserves a full 5 out of 5 stars. And that’s coming from a very picky eater. Brilliant pizza !!

Been coming here for years, best white pizza an combo special slice on the island, actually both islands! Tried the menu, also great things. But noticing the daycore is getting dated. Wall paper an ceiling is showing it’s age and so are the counters. But the standard of the kitchen(that I’m able to see) still well kept despite the tremendous traffic this place sees on a regular basis. Good job!.. Benches an tables could use a face lift, but not bad for that length of time in use. BUTIT’S TIME! .let’s see the face lift! Your supporting food fan !

I’ll get the bad out of the way… the wait! Service not so great but not the worst. Other than that the food was great! I had the lasagna and the bf had the chicken parm. Both were the best i have tasted so far. Im so glad this place is a special place to my Bf… I love it! I can see why people wait for long periods of time and come back to this location specifically. Definitely a MUSTTRY!

Branchinelli’s pizza is awesome! I love the grandma pizza especially. The wait for pick up is always 15⁄20 minutes which is great. The staff is super nice and quick. The only reason I gave one less star is because if you dine in they use disposable cups. I though that was kind of weird(and wasteful) because it’s not just a pizza joint where you would expect but it also has a nice dine in area with food besides pizza. Outside of that and that they don’t deliver I have always been very happy with the food.

Been coming here for years I love that’s it’s always consistent Dishes are large and not expensive. If you go during diner time there is always a wait. My favorite dish Is Spaghetti Campangola broccoli, olives, fresh garden tomatoes & prosciutto delicately sautéed. The bread they give at the tables is very good. There pasta fagioli is excellent as is there salad pizza and Marinara pizza. Restuarant is very casual serving good family food

One of the best family style Italian restaurants in the area. The portions are very generous, and tastefully prepared. As an added bonus you can get two complimentary glasses of wine for each adult at the table. The only drawback is they do not deviate from the menu.

I tried to place a large order(19 pizzas all different kinds) along with garlic knots. They will not deliver, even for the 19 pies, okay fine, but they could not fax over their menu. We here cannot access their website(websense) so they are out of luck on this order. The woman who answered the phone spoke too fast, I barely understood her. Ordered from Bella Bambina’s, the delievered and got our $ 392.09 order. Thank you for letting me share.

Delicious food and generous portions. Even the bread basket was tasty! I’d definitely recommend visiting this restaurant for those fellow road warriors.

Went today for lunch. I had the Sicilian pizza. I saw that it was still hot from the oven. That place is always packed by the counter and in the dining room. I have to try the dining room. Even with a lot of people, service at the counter is quick. The pizza has a nice sauce, not sweet. The dough was pillowy with a crisp crust. It is just heaven Highly recommend

From zero to Hauppauge’s principal hometown pizzeria, Branchinelli’s is packed on weekend nights for good reason. They make an excellent buffalo slice and fantastic garlic knots. The ensalada natural is a lightly sweet treat of a salad and very tasty. The regular slices are alright, but they succeed in the specialty slices, grandma and Sicilian. It’s all tied together by the warm and cozy interior which hasn’t changed since the early 1990’s including the menu images. It’s one of those pieces of home you’re glad stays the same!

Worst customer service ever. My son(2 years old) has a milk allergy and was going to a place that was serving pizza for dinner. I called here around 1 pm to see if they could make a cheese less pizza. The guy told me he has made personal sized pizzas in the past, without cheese but wouldn’t do it because«it’s a Friday night». Really dude? I’m calling you 4 ½ hours in advance. He told me I would have to order at least a couple marinara slices and was a complete douche about it. So I hung up with him and called Emilio’s in commack. They were more than happy to accommodate my son and assured me there would be no cross contamination. It’s been 24 hours and my son hasn’t had a reaction, so I know Emilio’s kept their word. Branchinellis lost my business, and should lose yours too.

I had the meatball parm. The meatball was good. A good mix and well seasoned. The sauce was actually my least favorite part. Quite acidic and wasn’t adjusted correctly. But tomato sauce/marinara is based on perspective. Prices were a little expensive(not completely out of range of what I expected. Averaging around $ 15 per plate. Plastic cups were used to serve patrons who dined in which I thought was unconventional, smart, and off putting at the same time. Wife got a Ceasar salad with chicken. She complained of the heavy charing on the chicken and the salad dressing was underseasoned. Not even salt and pepper could fix it. My brother in law got a chicken roll. They made it fresh, dough, and all. But what happened is that they burnt the roll and sold it to us. I was unaware of this. All in all the food is great to a specific degree. My meatball was my favorite.

When I first moved to Hauppauge everyone recommended Branchinelli’s to me. I have to say that I’ve given this place many tried but am continually disappointed. I’ll give you an example: I ordered shrimp milanese, which they charged me close to $ 20 for. What came out was a few breaded shrimp that would come out of a frozen bag from the super market, shredded lettuce and sliced tomato I’d find on a deli hero, and a plastic cup of balsamic. I couldn’t believe it. It was probably the most absurd meal I’ve ever been served at a restaurant. Plus, the staff at the counter is often very rude. The only reason I give this place two stars is because the buffalo chicken pizza is ok. Other than that, I’d go elsewhere.

I’m giving it 2 stars the waiter was great. The zucchini was good. Cheese on pizza was rubbery hard to swallow on cheese pizza. The stuffed pizza surprised me the sausage is like lunch meat I was thinking it be lil sausage balls. I didn’t care for the stuffed pizza. The sprite was fresh bubbly The bread in basket looked good. I only ate one piece didn’t want to fill up on all bread. The marinara sauce is light the creamy Italian is delicious. If you want a amazing Italian restaurant go to Rigazzi’s in Lake Grove! The best Italian food and experience. :-D

This place is sorta average. Would eat here again but not if it were my choice to choose the restaurant. The pasta was pretty good. Portion was a little small given how so many of these places exist and how much food you can get elsewhere for the same, or sometimes less, money. The dining area is small and outdated, definitely stuck in 1987, but again, not really a good or a bad thing so long as the food is worth it. It’s good, not great, and there are better places to go.
