P.C. Richard & Son

This store is out of my way but I keep going back because the staff is great. Warren in particular is friendly and knowledgeable. He’s always helpful and on point about all the products in the store. I can call up the store and tell him what I need and by the time I get there he’s ready for me. One time he even went to the main warehouse in Farmingdale to pickup what I needed and brought it back to his store so I could come get it. That kind of personal attention is why I highly recommend the Hauppauge P.C. Richard location.

I’ve dealt with them several times over the years. Sadly, nothing ever changes. The salespeople, while nice… can’t and don’t know anything deep about the products. YOU have to know what you’re buying, they DON’T. They are basically clerks at a checkout counter. And Car Stereo install is a joke. I bought a Christmas Car Stereo for my wife and recieved «FREE INSTALLATION». Well after taking numerous days off to bring the car to them, the guy was off. or they didn’t have the part. It was a ridiculous runaround. In the end, they never did the install. I had to go elsewhere (maybe that’s what they wanted all along…) I am a reasonable person and I will never buy anything from them again. Why should anyone? Low price? Try Best-​Buy. Expertise? Go to an A/​V place or a Pro-​Kitchen joint. I can’t think of any reason to deal with PC Richards ever again.

This place is a joke when It comes to delivery and installation. How can I make this short, well I ordered a stackable washer and they said they would install the washer but wont put back the dryer since there was no stacking kit. I figured thats fine since I can maybe hook up the dryer myself. Long story short they delivered the washer cause I was supposed to remove both from the closet.
Then they told me when I do remove the washer they would come and take it, ok fine. I called on a Sunday and they said they dont pick up on mondays. Monday night I put the washer outside my condo door on the 2^nd floor. I called them tuesday morning to see if they were coming but they told me it wasnt in the system.

This is a great location, staff was super helpful. One of the managers Alex couldn’t have been helpful when it came to price beating a competitor. I definitely would recommend this PC Richard store

Worse service than a brick cellphone from the 1990’s.
I went to return headphones I had gotten my brother as a welcome home gift from the hospital three days after I had purchased them. They were in mint condition with receipt, only the wrapper was off. They would not let me return the headphones for my money back because it would have been «A loss for the company.» When I questioned the managers reasoning he raised his voice to me because the said headphones could not be re-​sold.
When I went to the PC in the Stonybrook/​Lake Grove area and they took them back in a heartbeat; No problems at all.
If this P.C. Richard gave me problems returning my New 150 $ headphones. I’d hate to see what would happen if you tried to return your New 2000 $ T.V.
Your real «loss for the company» is your attitude towards customers, I’d rather spend the extra 10 minutes trekking it to Best Buy, than to have to deal with this staff ever again.

they don’t even deserve one star it should be negative 10 stars… they are the worst place in the world!!! don’t order from any pc richards. we got our washer and drier from them last year with the 5 year warranty. we called them because we were having trouble with the inner boot on the washer fraying. the first guy they sent out told us in what little English he spoke that he couldn’t do anything that the washer was made like crap and it will just keep happening. i called and told they what kind of people you sending to my house that are telling me the product you put out is made like crap. They send another guy out 1 week later to look again. he told us he would order the pieces and they would be in in a week. we called a week later the parts had arrived but they couldn’t tell us why no one called us to tell us they were in and to fix the washer. finally they go someone here a week and a half later (this is 4 and a half weeks not washer) the guy comes and says the other guy ordered the wrong part now he has to order the right part and it will take a week or so for it to come!!! there workers don’t know what there doing some don’t even speak English!!! i’m sure ill be waiting another 2 weeks to get it fix and that’s if this time the parts are right!!!
