I go to this laundromat about 4 times a week to wash towels for my shop. The washer and dryers all work quite nicely and the people are very friendly.

Was looking for a place to wash a large comforter set that wouldn’t fit in our washer and dryer at home and saw the first review. There was somebody there, and she was really friendly and helpful. Helped me figure out which machines were best for what I had. There was a tv, a vending machine and a bench for anyone hanging around waiting, if you didn’t feel like leaving and coming back. I’ll definitely come back with all my large items. :)

I found this laundromat after Googling for one in the area where I was going to be running some errands. They don’t have a website so I called to get some information, and was surprised when someone answered — I was expecting to hear a recording. They offer wash-and-fold services and they do have someone on duty to handle pick-ups and drop-offs, and she was nice on the phone and gave me the hours and other information requested. The laundromat is located in a strip mall(not a pretty one), but there is a Dunkin Donuts across the parking lot if you want to walk over to get coffee while you’re waiting(and a liquor store and Chinese restaurant next door). The laundromat has washing machines in various sizes, of course, and the standard industrial-sized dryers. They have change machines and vending machines that sell detergent and fabric softener, as well as snacks and beverages. There is also a small TV in the front of the laundromat. I washed several loads of clothes in washers of different sizes and did not have any problems with any of them. The dryers worked well also. The woman on duty cleaned up periodically and answered any questions I had. Machines that were not operating properly(only 2, IIRC) were clearly marked so that you wouldn’t use them by mistake. There is plenty of seating(plastic chairs and a couple of benches in the front), several carts with wheels to help you move your clothes between machines, and even some reading material(a couple of newspapers and magazines) on a table near the front door. Prices seem to be in line with another laundromat I tried once in Reading, but I’m always shocked about how much it costs regardless. I remember when a load of laundry was $ 1.00 — now they cost $ 2.75 and up or so. Washing and drying 5 loads of laundry on my first trip to Academy Laundry cost me about $ 30 total. Overall, I think this is a fine laundromat and would recommend it. I’d give them 5 stars if they had free wifi so I could bring my laptop with me and browse the internet while I wait.
