I came here three times to eat. Very good food. It’s a little pricey however it’s worth the service and food. The bean ravioli is fantastic. I look forward to my next visit. If you do go however be sure to make reservations ahead of time. Especially on the weekends.

So my husband surprisesd me and took me here for our anniversary. Im pregnant and have been a picky eater and I just have to say this place was AMAZING from the appetizer to the dessert. The service was pretty great too even when the place started filling up. The waitress Ruth knew all the details to the meals so she helped me make my decisions. Its a nice romantic atmosphere. There’s also parking. We loved it so much we made reservations to return for mother’s day to take both our moms! They have a mixture of latin food and even seafood. Highly recommend!

Second time here and just as delicious as the first. Came here with a party of three and the service was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine to start, and the server let us all taste which was cute. We ordered three different appetizers, three different entrees, and three different desserts and shared it all. They ran out of bread, which was understandable since our reservation was late, so they offered us chips and salsa instead. HELLLLOOOOYUM. They should give chips and salsa instead of bread anyway. Chips were warn, salsa had a kick. Awesome. Each course was spaced out perfect. We finished and had our table cleared before more food came out. We were worried that our late reservation would rush us out, but we took our time and didn’t feel rushed at all even if we were the last couple tables left in the restaurant. All in all a great experience. Only negative thing I will say is when arriving and parking, there was a man that came right up to my window to open the door and it was beyond startling. Good intentions, but a dark parking lot and a man at my window? I nearly had a heart attack. He offered to walk me inside which make me a little uneasy as I had just been so terrified. If they are going to have some type of Valet system, I suggest the man stands in the front entrance of the parking lot or there be a sign to wait for Valet? Hm. Will definitely be back here regardless. Muy Bien Union!

My GF and I were shopping in NY on Easter sunday. We live in NJ and wanted to find a nearby Latin restaurant. We didnt want to go to chain restuarant. After doing a search on Unilocal we decided to visit Union Restaurant & Bar Latino. We had the most amazing dinner. We were not disappointed in the least bit. We ordered a ½ pitcher of red sangria. It was delicious and a generous amount. Both our soups hit the spot after a long day of shopping. Then our dinners came nicely spaced out a little while later. My GF loved her Salmon /crabmeat broth dinner. My steak was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the potatoes with the lightly melted cheese. We finished our meal with the flan and fruit dessert. We now know were our next dinner will be when we return shopping to area. :) thank you for everything and the A+ service.

I came here with my SO Sunday evening around 7pm. The restaurant has it’s own parking lot so no need to worry about parking on the street. There was a man that greeted us after we parked but I think he was there honestly to make sure we were actually coming to eat at the restaurant and not take up the parking for customers, which is fair. Once inside we were seated fairly quickly since there weren’t many people. It took almost 45mins for the waitress to take our order which I found to be excessive, especially since I was hungry but my SO attributed that to the fact that we were having an in depth conversation so I guess it’s good they were polite enough to not interrupt our conversation lol Once our waitress arrived we ordered the quail, pinto bean ravioli, and chicken quesadilla as our apps. For someone who doesn’t like beans, I didn’t think the ravioli was bad. My SO thought the texture was a bit pasty but he did enjoy his quail. The quesadilla was pretty good and I’d recommend having that. My SO had the vaca frita cubana as his entrée, which he enjoyed although I wasn’t a fan when I tasted it. I had the duck but couldn’t even finish it because I was stuffed from my apps. The duck was good, and I liked the duck jus that was drizzled on the plate. I was not a huge fan of the pineapple fried rice, which turned out to be wild rice(it did not say that on the menu). Side note: duck leftovers aren’t the best. It’s best eaten when it’s been freshly cooked. I gave this place 4 stars because my SO enjoyed the ambiance and the food and said he would come back. I agree that the ambiance is nice and I’d come back but only if my SO chose this as our place of dinner for the night. The staff there was also very pleasant. I would definitely order the quesadilla again but not the ravioli and I’d try a different entrée.

I came here to visit my bro up in nanuet and we found this place… WHOA. So glad I came here and I’m pretty sure we just deemed this«our spot» for when we visit… In the cute town of haverstraw, this restaurant really shines. Came in for lunch, ordered the tortilla soup, cauliflower soup(omg amazing, better than the tortilla), cornbread(gone in 2 seconds flat) Mains included the pinto bean ravioli(never have had this or heard of it and it was truly decadently delicious, so rich, the portion may be shared or selected as ones main meal) This awesome enchilada, it was almost a dissected one? Chicken, avo, lay on top of this crunchy tostada… ITWASBOMB. Duck dish was awesome, my bro inhaled that. Not gamey at all and very tasty. It was cooked to perfection. Also, the skirt steak for all you meat eaters, the portion is huge and it was really a large amount of food… Better to come and order a bunch of stuff like we did and taste everything. The place itself was clean and reminded me of being on vacation with the indoor greenery they had… Staff was overly attentive and so nice! Get the champagne and guava, it did not disappoint ! This place is fun, delicious, and I can’t wait to come back!

We went to this great place Saturday night with another couple. We have finally found a NYC level restaurant up in Rockland. Foie Gras in Rockland County? Yes. Had that for an appetizer and it melted in my mouth. Was amazing. For an entrée I had the Long Island Duckling. Was equally as good though it was prepared a bit different then I am used to. It had a latin overtone to I it with spice and a brown sauce. The other dishes ordered looked equally delicious. Was absolutely incredible. The other couple we went with were there before and knew the waiters and the owner. They already knew this place was great. Thanks to them we finally got to Union and we will be going back very soon. Make sure you get a reservation, it was packed and rightly so.

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The Crab meat guacamole is my favorite and I have to admit I have actually eaten that as my entrée a couple of times! I would recommend the Bruja Verde if you are looking for a great specialty cocktail. They have a great valet who makes sure your vehicle is ready & waiting for you when you are ready to leave. The manager is attentive & the wait staff is top notch.

Excellent service, really pleasant staff. We were literally greeted across the road while parking and walked over to the restaurant. Very impressive. Food was really good. The scallop dish was really generous(4 really big scallops) and flavorful. The marinated beef literally melted in your mouth. Didn’t have room for desert, but definitely worth the drive out if you are staying at Bear Mountain.

I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. My wife and I were here for restaurant week and enjoyed all three courses. I would have posted more pix but started eating before I had the chance to post. The ambiance is cosy and there is more of a romantic vibe at night. Wait staff is attentive but not too much, leaving you room to enjoy your company. I highly recommend and will continue to come back.

First time here and it won’t be out last! Our server Carlos was personable, knowledgable, and made our anniversary dinner so much more memorable! The food was superb! From the crabmeat guacamole to the Paella and Scallop entrée to the bread pudding dessert! We are foodies and love great food and Union made our list! Hands down… one of the best dirty martinis I’ve had! We will be back real soon!!!

Went here on our 5th wedding anniversary. pure magic. The host and wait staff were super friendly and helpful. The Pinto Bean Ravioli was amazing. would get that for an entrée if it was available. I had the Vaca Frita Cubana which was perfectly cooked and my wife had the Pato Rostisado(duck) which was perfection. Their drink menu was fun as well. the hot part is the décor. just amazing. great place for a wonderful night

Living in Haverstraw there are slim pickings for restaurants that offers good food. Union may be faired as one of the best considering it’s local competition but I just wasn’t blown away by anything that we tasted. We came in with a couple friends about an hour before close and the service was great and we did not feel rushed at all. — Sangria was pretty tasty –guacamole caramba was okay but besides the handful of crabmeat really didn’t offer any unique taste. –ceviche mariquitas was one of the more well balanced ceviches I’ve had but being a restaurant founded upon Latin cuisine I expected more flavor –plantains are plantains can’t really go wrong — yucca frites were one of my favorite things and were cooked well not too doughy not too crispy. The interior of the place is pretty nice, music and overall feel of it and again the service was good. We may go back out of default but not because I’m looking for excellent flavorful food.

Union would probably be a top 10 restaurant in Rockland County. I’d love to know what are the other 9. Xaviar’s in Piermont would be on that list. Latin cuisine…2nd time here and both experiences were memorable. Today, had the white sangria, ceviche, enchilada and paella. I’m not accustomed to eating gourmet Latin food, but it’s phenomenal here. Service also was first rate. Another big plus… private parking for patrons
