I don’t know where the negative comments are coming from because I have stayed here for years. My Mom and our friends are frequent guests and have been for 20 plus years. Directly in front of Lake and restaurant on premises. Great taking an evening walk on the dam before or after dinner. Safe and family run. Entertainment in restaurant on weekends. The hotel is similar to a standard holiday inn type room and reasonably priced. Its is the country and I enjoy my many memories of visiting the area.

Even though I had made arrangements for our late arrival, our room was occupied and three adults slept in the car. So they gave us a deal…2 nights free. But the room rate was $ 33 more a night!?! I felt cheated.

Greshams is a great place to stay! It has the best view of the lake and we were there during a beautiful snowfall and just doesn’t get any better! I was there on business/pleasure and would def go back to stay! The rooms were spotless and the staff was very sweet:) Also, they are right next to Gresham’s Chophouse, and the food was amazing!

This motel is very close to the lake. Nice people run it. However, it is not worth the price

I traveled to Hawley for a wonderful wedding weekend and stayed at Gresham’s. The view was incredible, but unfortunately, the Motel left something to be desired. The room was clean, but very outdated. The bed was uncomfortable, hard, and not even sitting on a boxspring. The shower head was more or less a pipe coming out of the wall and when I stepped on the tiles making up the bathroom floor, multiple tiles came up on my foot! The bath towels were very thin and small. The room, and motel in general, could use a makeover and I’m sure would attract even more clientele during the tourist season!

We stayed here for Labor Day Weekend and there were no vacancies at the motel. It was a bit odd that I had to send a check before arriving. I actually received 3 calls about sending the reservation check. The motel was easy to find and accessible to different restaurants in Hawley and was across the street to the Lake Wallenpaupeck Visitor’s Center and public beach. We were in a room on the first floor and had a semi-obstructed view of the lake across the street. The bathroom was dank because the bathroom upstairs had a leak. The ceiling actually had visible mold. Other than that, the staff was friendly and did a good job cleaning the room daily.
