Lake Wallenpaupack

Oh man, I wish the weather was better when I came to visit this lake. It was raining horribly on and off for two days. On the third day of my stay, I visited this lake briefly.
I was staying nearby, about a 5 minute walk from the lake. It is huge!
The water is clear and the shoreline is clean also. I would advise you to drive if you can walk. It can get a little crowded when the weather is nice.
Next year, I will make it my business to return and write a better review.

This lake is pretty nice. I found it to be nice, quiet, peaceful, and best of all not crowded. The lake is 13.5 miles long and 52 miles of shoreline. The views are nice. Weather here is great in this month of August. Locals have been friendly. I think a major part of the stay depends on where you are staying. We got an awesome lakehouse for our stay here and it’s been a blast. Btw there is no place within 15 mile that sells liquor lol (a little odd). It is a great break from the city but I cant stay here longer than 3 days. I been to a few places here and all they have on is fox news, which is fine, but when you see the stories they have going on with people who might look similar to me or pretty much if you got a face like mine lol it gets a little uncomfy. Especially at this bar I walked into lol
That being said if you are renting a boat, call ahead of time to book it. They are booked for a week at the local boat shop.

I love this place. The lake is enormous and picturesque. My best friend and I always take pictures along the lakefront. It is absolutely gorgeous. When we get a chance we take the scenic boat ride out on the lake. It always a nice release from the pressures of the city life, nyc life!!! A lil oasis only 2 hrs away. Wish I could come more often. Definitely a great place to explore and enjoy.

Very enjoyable lake experience with beautiful views. The lake can get crowded but there are definitely some low-​traffic/​quiet areas if you search for them. The other boaters have thus far been well-​behaved and kept to themselves.

This lake is absolutely gorgeous!
It is pristine and a beautiful stretch.
You can park nearby and take a walk. You can also just sit on the bench and enjoy the view.
