I paid NYC prices for a subpar manicure(nail polish outside the nail line that couldn’t be removed) and a rushed pedicure job that included none of the basic services(like scrubbing the bottom of my feet). Would have been fine if the price were lower.

Came here for a massage albiet it wasn’t the worst I’ve had, it was pretty close. The girl was very pleasant and professional and the environment was very soothing and comfortable — almost like a log cabin feel but the actual massage was terrible. I even told her to not be afraid of going a little deeper with the massage but she didn’t seem to listen. In fact the massage tickled and I was ready to belt out laughing half way though!

I have never had a problem with getting an appointment here when is requested(with the exception of Sundays). I have had about 4 haircuts here and I have always walked out with a huge smile on my face when I was done. Just an overall great experience with the ladies there.

My daughter chose Utopia to do the hair and makeup for her wedding party this past weekend. They were amazing! I was thrilled with my hair and received so many compliments. They greeted us with cheese and crackers, didn’t blink an eye when we made changes to our hairstyles, and accommodated last minute nail and pedi requests. The shop is clean and beautiful and set up so the whole wedding party was able to be together and watch the magic happen! It was the perfect start to a perfect day! Thank you so much Utopia!

Back in August I had called to schedule a couples massage for my boyfriend and I. He and I were going to spend a night in the Poconos(8⁄18&8⁄19) and where trying to get the most relaxing time/events planned out for our mini-getaway. Wanting to have a spa service, I googled salons near where we were staying to set up an appointment. Among the salons I found, and called, most said that on the Monday that we wanted to book, there would only be one massage therapist available and as a result a couples massages couldn’t be done. This is where I must commend Utopia for going the extra mile. I called on the Saturday to book, and was told by the receptionist that there was no extra masseuse available, but that there was another one/someone on-call and that they would call and see if they would come in and would give me a call back. After calling several other salons to see if somewhere else could accommodate, I was sadly disappointed that no where had the extra staff, or were willing to have someone come in, and that my boyfriend and I were going to be out of luck. Sure enough however, I got a call back from the receptionist and was told that the other masseuse would come so our couples massage would now happen! Amazing! When we got to the salon on the Monday we were greeted by our respective masseuses and were shown where we would get our massages done. I am not sure the name of the masseuse my boyfriend had, but I was LUCKY enough to have Lisa McKnight. Words cannot even remotely express how much I loved my massage. Both my boyfriend and I live in Philadelphia, and have access to more than enough salons and spas, which have personally enabled me to have many massages over the years, but none have ever come close to the body work I received from Lisa. I have found in the past that masseuses have a certain«style» and sometimes don’t adapt to the person they are massaging. Not only did Lisa make sure my massage was completely relaxing, but she varied her technique to where I never once had to say I needed more/less pressure. Lisa left me SO relaxed, that I so look forward to coming back to have another massage by her! Thank you Utopia for having such a professional receptionist/front desk, thank you for going the extra mile by scheduling to meet our needs, thank you for providing such a relaxing and romantic massage, and thank you to Lisa for being so amazing!

Pampered like crazy. Excellent massage from Candace, relaxing facial from Jaimie, and a well-done Express Pedi from Amanda. Relaxing atmosphere. Spa is very clean. The Pedi room is a little dark(only complaint on my visit) but toes looked fine.

On one of my many visits to Hawley, PA — I decided to treat myself to a little well deserved pampering so I booked the 55 minute Massage/Reflexology package. As soon as I walked into Utopia, I felt so relaxed, and they did absolutely nothing yet! Very soft music was playing, I think it was Enya, and the most wonderful aroma filled the spa. There’s a short questionnaire to complete(asking a little bit about yourself, do you like a soft or hard tissue massage, etc) and then I was given a robe and slippers to change into. I was even offered a cup of tea, coffee or a cold drink while I waited for my massage therapist. The spa reminds me of being in a ski lodge, fireplace burning and it was just so rustic and comfortable. The wait time wasn’t long at all. I was led into a dimly lit room, with that same incredible aroma and soft music playing. The massage was indescribable, how I didn’t fall asleep is beyond me. My only complaint is that I wish it lasted longer. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and courteous. The services and packages that are offered at Utopia are vast and the prices are very reasonable. There is something to fit every possible need you may have, check out their website as it is very informative. If you’re ever in the Hawley area, a visit to Utopia should definitely be on your to-do list. Very conveniently located, it’s right alongside Route 6. I have every intention of returning and I think I may actually make a day of it next time!

My best friend decided to use Utopia for her bridal make up on the recommendation of a co-worker, and I went with her for the trial run a few weeks before the wedding. The reception staff was very friendly, but the salon seemed very underlit. The makeup artist, a woman with bright nicky minaj/tammy faye baker makeup and elvira hair comes tottering toward us in stilettos with leopard print spandex stretched over her very generous middle aged frame. My friend has a light blond, blue eyed complexion and asks for a very natural look for her wedding. The Elvira woman proceeds to give her an orange pancake foundation, thick liquid black eye liner, bright pink metallic eye shadow, stripes of magenta blush and eight layers of goopy lip gloss. The bride to be is understandably upset, and I try to help her explain to the makeup woman that she would like softer, lighter colors, and name some of the eyeshadow colors she usually likes like«fawn» and«champagne». The woman added some metallic white eyeshadow over the mess, and rather rudely asked if we were happy yet. My friend was starting to tear up so I suggested we go look at it on their deck in natural light, so that the bride could say what she was afraid to express in front of Elvira. Crying, she asked me if she really did look like a hooker, and as much as I try to soften things, I had to agree that she certainly couldn’t walk around in public like that. When we came in the woman not only rushed us out, but charged her full price PLUS an extra $ 70 for the time it took to slap on that extra layer of metallic white eyeshadow. We paid it to get out of there, and then I called the management that evening because the bride was still crying about not having a make up person lined up and not being able to find one before the wedding. The manager was very nice and apologized for Elvira’s behavior, and after we declined coming in for another trial, she refunded the bride’s money and gave her a certificate for a free pedicure to make it up to her. So late in the game we couldn’t find another make up artist in our area, so we ended up going to the Clinique counter at Macy’s and describing the situation. The Clinique woman showed us step by step how to create a very natural look(she understood what we wanted immediately) and we purchased the products, and I applied the bride’s makeup the day of the wedding. While we appreciated the manager at Utopia being kind after the fact, it was an experience we could have done without.

Went here for a couples massage during our weekend stay at the Poconos(East Shore Lodging). What a great experience. The atmosphere was very nice. Dim lights, soothing music, etc. We changed into the robes and slippers provided and got massaged in the same room. I got a parental massage for the first time. It was great. My bf enjoyed his massage as well. We’d come here again.

I am a massage therapist and can be very critical… but these ladies deliver a great deep tissue massage every time I have gone. I also have had a few facials done here too and they are the best… they use heated mitts and booties, give hand, arm, feet and neck rubs through the whole process. The reason for the one lacking star to make this a slam dunk is the awful pedicure I had done there. So if you are looking for a day of massages and facials this is the Spa to go to… just leave out the pedicure…
