This is our go to pizza spot every Friday night! Alessandro’s is about 15 minutes away from home, and we pass a number of pizza places on our way, but it’s so good! Al’s pizza was the last thing I ate before going abroad and the first thing I had when I got home!

Thought I would give them another try — big mistake — ordered the same«grand ma pie » — this time it was cold and they appeared to use basic mozzarella vs fresh as advertised — $ 18 cheese pizza no thanks… Ordered the original grandma pie — went to pick it up had to wait longer than was told — got the pie home and it was burnt to a crisp — you could only eat about a half of slice … Very disappointed

I am only posting this as a heads up to the owner, who is always very welcoming. I know he cares, but last night, he was not there and the food showed it! I felt like I was eating in a pizzeria with mediocre offerings anyone could make. For the prices, the food should be interesting and prepared by a chef. We were a table of 4. Alessandro’s has been expanded into the next space, so there was plenty of room. However, the place was not busy except for our table of 4 and a large table of 10 with many kids. We ordered 2 appetizers, fried calamari and mussels in white wine. Both were very good. The specials on the menu are $ 20+ and I was happy that I did not order any of them, because my entrée, baked eggplant sicilian pasta casserole, at $ 14.95 was not very good. I don’t think any part of it was baked, other than some melted mozzarella on top. My friend had a salad with avocado and it was served with the avocado already black. not very appetizing. My husband had a pasta dish that came with tomatoes that were basically uncooked. The pasta was never finished with the sauce, just had it dumped on top. The food was barely warm when presented. Our soda were all refilled, no problem there. The updated décor is appealing. However, if you want to be a fine dining restaurant, make the food up to that standard. People may come for takeout or pizza, but you will lose those looking for(and paying for) a dining experience.

Pizza was soggy but flavor was good. Calamari was tough, had to spit pieces out. I assume it was sitting in the freezer for a long time. Better options in the area and better price points.

The pizza is great! If you go to Alessandro’s Pizzeria, I would suggest to get the Grandma Slice pizza and their plain slices! Their calzones and garlic knots are amazing too! If you are looking for a good pizza place, go to Alessandro’s. Unlike Pizza Hut and Dominos, Alessandro’s has delicious pizza!

I am sorry to say we had a horrible experience the last time we ate dinner here. The staff was not attentive, my husbands salmon was not cooked properly the first time and went it came back out it was ice cold. The owner did not come over once Sorry but I will not be returning

Amazing food and the service is «The Best!» Alex, the owner is so friendly and welcoming! He connects with all of his customers to be sure that they are having the best dining experience, whether you eat in or take out! Our family orders take out from here and we are always very happy! They will go out of here way to accommodate you! I highly recommend eating here. You will be glad that you did. Be careful, it’s addicting!

Rude staff, over-priced, and mediocre food. Guess when you’re the only Pizza place in town ya don’t have to make much effort.

So disappointed… family from out of town visited and asked for a recommendation for pizza and we told them to try Alessandro’s bc we have had good food there. What a mistake. I don’t know who they spoke to but in short they ordered delivery and one of the pies was the Tuscan pie requested with no cheese. delivery brings the order but the Tuscan pie came with just sauce! It’s got plenty of toppings normally . When a call was made back they were told that they could order another pizza but no refund on the completely wrong pie… the mistake happens but to have customer service like this loses customers…

Go save your time and money and go someplace else. Food is ok but ridiculously over priced. You go in and order the same thing and each time you go in the prices are always different. This guy is a scammer. Only sees money signs. If he’s nice to you it’s all an act. Don’t be fooled by the bread it’s old and the olive oil is reused from customers who don’t finish. Gross!

We popped in for a late lunch thinking this place would be quick and kid friendly and we could not have been more wrong on the quick part. While we were pretty much the only patrons in the restaurant to start off, our combined order of pizza and pasta dishes seemed to throw off the kitchen. Several parties came, sat down, at a slice and left before we received our meal more than 30 minutes after ordering. Which was surprising since all that was involved was reheating a few slices and boiling up some ravioli. And despite the long wait we did not get any bread to keep the kids entertained and our drinks did not arrive for a good fifteen minutes. There were 3 people behind the counter and we could not get a soda? The whole thing was odd. Really really odd. We ended up going to the counter several times to get drinks and bread ourselves. Or rather trying to, we would go up and ask for our soda or ice tea and instead of just giving it to us they would insist on bringing it to the table, a good 5 minutes later. When we did finally get our slices and pasta, they were not even that warm. But they were still pretty tasty. So maybe the take-out would not be so bad. But would not recommend eating at the restaurant. We were served by the owner, who was very friendly when we came in, and made us feel at home. But then ignored us entirely for the rest of the time. Also, the floors were mysteriously very very sticky.

Love! This is our number one take-out/delivery restaurant in the area and the dining experience is great too. Love the grandma pizza slices. Also love the Fettuccini Alessandro dish, yum! And I love that when we order delivery, they will recommend a bottle of wine which can be included with the delivery. I think they own the wine store next door. Staff is always friendly to all ages. I give them many thumbs up!

So this place is okay. Nothing out of this world, but not terrible. Pizza is fine and sandwiches are average but two things bother me about this place. One is the price. Very expensive for a pizza joint. Two is that it takes forever sometimes– 70 minutes for a pickup order? Need to find a better system or hire more people. So, if you are in the area, I would go for something light, but would never travel out of my way to go to this place. Not when pizza places practically outnumber people in Bergen County.

I’ve only tried Alessandro’s once and it was pretty good. From what I recall, the pizza I ordered was great and left me with no complaints. I didn’t have any problems with the service and the restaurant has lots of tables for seating. Hoping to try out Alessandro’s again soon.

The food is very good. Excellent, in fact, for being the«local pizza joint». It’s crowded on Friday and Saturday nights so call ahead or expect to a wait a few minutes at prime time. The service? Well, it’s good for what it is. The waitress that is always there is so busy but she tries really hard, so she gets an «A’ for effort. I typically get salad and pizza… If you like Caesar salad, just note that their dressing is a bit on the… umm…well let’s just say it’s homemade and heavy on the anchovies. I don’t mind it, but if you don’t like anchovies, it will be an unpleasant surprise. I love the Grandma pie. Awesome crust and very well seasoned.

Oh Tom Yum why did you have to be mysteriously closed on Tuesday night. We were left stranded in Haworth with nowhere to eat. A few doors down we saw Alessandro’s Trattoria E Pizzeria and decided to give it a try. Heck, it had five 5 star reviews on Unilocal. The poor citizens of Haworth only have around 3 restaurants and unfortunately their only Italian choices are Andiamo and Alessandro’s. Now I know why Andiamo is so crowded. We began by ordering the special of prosciutto, mozzarella and balsamic. I have had this numerous times in my life at various restaurants. You have too! Have you ever had it served hot? I just did for the first time and it wasn’t good. Wife called it «an abomination». I concur. Why would you heat up prosciutto to the point that it turns gray? Why would you heat up the tomatoes? Why would you then wrap the prosciutto around that poor fresh mozzarella? Lastly, why would you put all on top of a nice, albeit small, bed of arugula and then drown it all with balsamic vinegar? Wife had a small pizza for her main. She enjoyed it. She took most of it home. I had the eggplant parmigiana with a side salad. The salad was good. The eggplant was just a huge melted mozzarella mess(see pic). The eggplant was very thin and was edible. No refills for club soda. Lame. They charged us $ 1.95 per. Lame. I won’t go back.
