Of all the fast food restaurants that I have been to Checkers has the best milkshakes. The banana or the butterscotch OMG, so much better than you would expect from a fast food place. The fries are good too, and so are the burgers. The only problem I have with the place is that they are amazingly slow.

I first tried this one night when all of the other places were closed down. I really didnt think they would be that good, but my only other choice this late was the crappy McDonalds(this girl used to be a McDonalds fan). I got a fish sandwich(it was ok) and bacon chophouse combo. Its a double bacon cheeseburger and it has little onion rings on it… OMG it was so good. the soda was good and carbonated, correct proportion of ice. Fries were cold. I didnt even pull out of the drive through when I noticed, so they took them back without lip. That still ticks me off though. Fries are SO cheap, there no reason to try to pawn them off. Even when people dont complain, doesnt mean they not mad about it. I used to work in a Wendy’s in college and I NEVER served somebody food I wouldnt eat myself. While waiting and brooding I noticed the 2/$ 1 apple pie sign. I got two and sampled them on way home in car. Try these and you’ll throw rocks at the McDonald apple pie! They have more filing in them(and its a better quality). The crust is lighter and crispier. They have a sugar cinnamon mixture on the outside. If you’ve never seen this Rally’s, its a little tiny walk up restaurant with a drive through lane on both side of building. The only tables are off to the side. I’ve been curious in the chicken wings, yet still havent tried them yet. My son absolutely LOVES their spicy chicken sandwich. So much better than McDonalds, better quality for the price. Try it. you’ll LOVE it!!!

I don’t know why this place is listed as Checkers, when — I’m pretty sure — the place has a big fat Rally’s sign.(Checkers is the mother company I believe). Anyway, I only wanted to post a quick review for this chain because… THEIRFRIESAREMYFAVORITE! They are seasoned, and greasy and f-ing amazing. Their burger patties are pretty thick too, and cheap(you’ll see a 2 for $ 3 menu, or a 2 for $ 4). I have to have my Rally’s fix monthly.

I tried to get my oil changed today during my lunch hour, but when they said it would be an hour wait, I decided to postpone that and instead eat lunch next door at Rally’s Hamburgers. This Rally’s Hamburger’s is located near the northeast corner of Hawthorne Blvd and El Segundo Blvd next door to the Jiffy Lube. They actually share a driveway. They have a drive-thru lane on either side of their tiny building and also outdoor seating. I went through the drive-thru and ordered a small spicy chicken sandwich combo for $ 4.48. I found the sandwich to be sufficiently spicy without being annoyingly hot or the heat lingering too long. The flavor of the french fries were a surprise and amazing. They tasted as though they were dipped into a batter seasoned like KFC’s original recipe chicken prior to being cooked in the fryer. They were so good, I finished all of the fries before arriving back to work.
