I’ve been here many times and I wonder why I keep coming back. My last encounter did not end well. Not only were the employees rude, myself and others were not helped for over 30 minutes!!! A guy came in wanting a fountain beverage and the employee literally stopped making my sandwich and went to get him a drink… He skipped the whole line! I asked to speak with the manager and she was so rude. She did not apologize nor did she give us a discount for the trouble! When I came back today I noticed they hired a whole new staff… I thought it would make a difference but NO! The girl who made my food was rude, was rushing me when there was no one in line and she kept repeating«what» every time I said something… It was very annoying. Gerardo was the only decent one. He was welcoming guests and assisting each guest with their order. Good customer service from him. The other girls… Not so much! I don’t recommend this location at ALLL. Music was way too loud to even hear your own thoughts, dirty lobby, and rude people. I will not be back here. Location on Ocean Gate is way better. Save your time and your money.

I love this place special because of Magali(I hope I spelled her name right) she is nice fast and makes the best sandwiches. Nice and neat. Also I love the fact that she always changes her gloves going from meat to veggies!!! The best!

The workers here are so ghetto and bad. Subway needs to really reevaluate the people they are hiring. I’ve never felt compelled to write a bad review till I came here.

Everytime i come to this location always get great service, sandwhiches always made the way i like it… this is my go to spot to get my fill when craving subway… :) iv never had a bad expieriance at this location. Not sure how others get bad experience, wait time is normal cant expect the fastest service as everyone is unique in there own way with their sandwhiches

Robert was awesome. Nothing better than being helped by someone who likes what they do. I’m sure there’s hundreds of other places any employee would rather be than work late night but Robert doesn’t give that type of feel. Welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. Patient as he makes your sandwich. And does it with a smile the whole way through. Being in customer service myself it would be wrong to ignore the service I was given so I just want to say kudos to Robert and all the team members at this location. :)

Worse service ever! I have never had to wait 30 min to get my sandwich. The lady who helped me, Jaime, seem frustrated since the shift manager appeared to be standing there. A family was ahead of us ordering 5 sandwiches which does not take long to make. Been here before and never had this problem. I felt bad for Jamie she needs the support she needs and that service only made them look bad. 04.26.205

Worst subway experience ever! These workers were obviously high on marijuana. Took forever to help us. Did not take our order right. They were talking upon each other instead of listening to our order. And rolled their eyes on me when I wasn’t even being rude to them. Seriously going to talk to cooperate about this. I don’t even want my money back. I want these girls to be fired and get high at another time instead on their work hours. Jamie was that girl’s name btw. Avoid her service if possible.

I known it takes time to make sandwiches especially with only 2 people making them but I swear it felt like I was waiting days for my order to be done. It’s usually never really busy when I’ve come here in the afternoon/evening but I went in the morning and there was a line. Clean establishment but a big pet peeve of mine especially in food places is when the workers don’t keep the sandwich/toppings area near and clean. It’s not difficult to NOT spill toppings and watching them take lids off the topping containers and toss them irritated me. Am you tell I’m particular?! But that’s just my preference and it in no way changed the quality oft sandwich just the quality of the experience there. Food is still delicious.

I’ve tried to give this subway a few chances, and it feels like I leave more disappointed then when I walked in. For starters, the service is slow. Not in a «2−4 minutes» kinda slow… But more of a «7−10 minutes» kinda slow. And that is, On average, 10 minutes that I will go before even being acknowledged that I’ve entered the business. I’ve used subway for years, but I try to avoid this particular one as much as I can.

My first bad review. How exciting! Okay, so I get that it sucks working a minimum wage job. No one dreams of working at Subway and I’m sure the workers here come across a variety of bad customers. But that doesn’t excuse unprofessional behavior and shoddy service. The only reason I’ve been here more than once is that it’s conveniently on my way home to El Segundo. Otherwise I’d avoid it like the plague. There’s three specific girls who work here who act like they’re in high school(don’t know their names except for the cashier Cinthia C.). For all I know, they might be. They ignore customers for long periods of time. They go off and talk to each other like they’re gossiping. They say things that are inappropriate(one of the girls told me I looked depressed and they all laughed — no, I’m not depressed. I’m annoyed by you and your immature co-workers). Just completely rude and classless. Management needs to look into it immediately. I’ve never had service like this at a Subway or anywhere. I heard the girl behind the counter tell a couple of people that she couldn’t give them change because they were out. They do realize they can’t do this, right? I hope someone’s keeping an eye on the books. It’s always dirty. You know how usually when you go to a Subway you see someone sweeping or cleaning up trash? Yeah, I’ve never seen that here. Not to say that they don’t do it, but they definitely aren’t keenly trying to keep the place clean. I hate to think what it looks like behind the scenes with people like that in charge. It’s gross. People buy food from here. Clean up the mess. This place desperately needs new staff. I know I wont be going back again, even if it is convenient.

Came here today and got lunch. Sandwiches were same as all other subways but service was terrible. Employees had the radio blasting and we even said we couldn’t hear them to place our order correctly and they seemed to think it was funny and carried on. I say go get your sandwich at a different subway if you have the time.

I have been to many subway restaurants in the Southbay and have even been to this location several unimpressive times in the past. I came to this one today to pick up a late lunch. Edson greeted me when I walked in. Not the robotic«welcome to subway» void of eye contact and sincerity I came to expect from the one on rosecrans, but a legit hello. He was patient and polite as I chose a sandwich. He listened and made my sandwich well, he even made a good suggestion for adding banana peppers when I wasn’t sure what else would be good. My sandwich was perfect, the bread was fresh and it wasn’t toasted too hard. It wasn’t even soggy by the time I got it home. Edson deserves 5 stars for his customer service. but I took a star away for the location overall.

Noël barely puts any meat in your subs. All other employees put the standard amount. And you have to constantly have to ask him for more veggies. It’s like he’s counting how many pieces of lettuce he’s putting in. Subway needs to make sure they try all their employees properly !!

I love subway food but each location is hit or miss. I work nearby this location and it’s conventions. But when you order through their«lovely» app to «save time» and they give you an ETA and you show up AFTER that time and they are barely starting it… That makes me mad. This is ridiculous and careless. I have a set time for lunch and I’m wasting it standing here and waiting for my food.

I went to this Subway location for a breakfast sandwich on April 1, 2014 at 8am and all 3 girls did mot want to help me. Super poor customer service and when I said nevermind they were like«whatever». I left and went next door to Starbucks where I was greeted and helped with a smile. Thank you Starbucks!

I love subway, I have always been a fan, however something about this location always gets me mad. The service is awful and when building my sandwich they only put a little bit of lettuce or bell peppers or any toppings… Making me feel like they are cheap, I have gone to others where they aren’t cheap with toppings… And the manager is rude and come off as a dick. He has a really unwelcoming attitude and I think he really affects his staff. The rudest guy is this short brown guy that was wearing a red shirt that refused to tell me him name. But yea the best subway is the one in lawndale

One of my favorite Subways to go to because 1) the staff is friendly, 2) they are super efficient — they know how to handle long lines, 3) they know how to handle crazy orders with ease, and 4) the veggies seem fresher than other subways.
