Yummy veggie pizza! I highly recommend! Our pizza had nice fresh vegetables, great crust and just the right amount of sauce and cheese.

Watched the staff jump all over a customer today because they told them their pizza was not prepared as they asked. This made me sick to my stomach. I had a hard time finishing my lunch after watching this. Absolutely no customer service. Even if they did order what they got this is certainly no way to handle a customer complaint. I typically eat from this place at least once a week for lunch. No longer will that be the case. So not only did they lose the customer they told to get the hell out to but 5 more that we’re in the place too. Can’t tell you how disappointed I am with this place.

Went there for lunch and ordered a pizza. Problem is the pizza had the wrong ingredients. When I advised the server of this she was like, oh well. I then went up to the counter and saw the cook, a young kid and advised him it wasn’t a huge deal but my order was wrong. He said he cooked what was ordered and that no one tells him how to cook pizza. And then yells out loud«pay and get the hell out my store». He looked as though he was going to jump the counter and attack me. I was shocked by his outburst and then realized he had other issues than just pizza. Rather than face the possibility of being physically attacked over a $ 12 pizza, i paid for the pizza and left the uneaten pizza on the table. It’s obvious to me now why the place was empty during the height of the lunch hour.

Really good pizza. Got the House Special pizza. Very tasty, with a great crunch to the crust, not soggy with fresh topping and great service.

ANGELO’S — WORSTDININGEXPERIENCEEVER!!! During a recent visit to Hayesville to attend the Festival on the Square, my mother, daughter, and myself stopped in to Angelo’s Downtown Pizza for a bite to eat before walking over to the festival. My mother and I split a sub, which came toasted. It does not state this on the(tacky) menu, nor did the server tell us or ask us if we’d like it toasted or cold. Much to our surprise, it was served with stale pretzel sticks. We couldn’t have known this, as there are NO descriptions of the menu items offered. There is a ‘House’ pizza and a ‘Green and White’ pizza, etc., but they do not tell you what toppings come on these or any of their other pizzas, let alone what comes with the subs. Now for the real kicker… My 11 year old daughter ordered a mushroom and sausage calzone. It took at least 20 minutes to get a basic sub and calzone(too long in my opinion). The calzone was a disgusting, blob of pizza dough with no red sauce, a scant amount of meat/mushrooms, and some unidentifiable cheese product that tasted like paste. We all tasted a tiny bit of the hot mess that oozed from this product and it was so unappetizing that I told my daughter to set it aside and we would send it back and order something else. When we told our server of the unpalatable calzone, her response was(verbatim), ‘What do you want me to do about it?’ I replied that I would appreciate it if she would take the calzone off our check and let us order something else. She said she couldn’t do that… that it would be a waste of good food. We were all completely appalled, so I asked to speak to a manager, at which point she declared that she was the owner’s daughter(and the manager). She was evidently the ONLY server in the restaurant as well. You would think that they would have had more servers on staff in anticipation of all the festival patrons, but this was obviously not the case at Angelo’s. After about 5 minutes of arguing with the owner’s daughter, we asked for the check, to which she walked back over a few minutes later and announced the total(without giving us a check at all). It was at this point, as we all sat in shock at how we were just treated, that a woman sitting at the next table turned and said that she absolutely couldn’t believe what she had heard and was equally appalled at how we were treated(by the owner’s daughter no less!). She went on to say that she has lived in Hayesville, NC for eighteen years and has never had any of the local business owners act in such a rude and inhospitable manner. She also mentioned that the owner’s daughter was very much misrepresenting the friendly and courteous folks that make up the Hayesville area. I agree! I spent over a decade in the restaurant/hospitality industry and never encountered or witnessed such a disrespectful scenario in all that time or in all of my life for that matter! On another note, the place is absolutely filthy, poorly maintained, run down, and horribly decorated. I would advise you to skip this establishment and seek out one that offers quality food and ambience, would be happy to serve you, and grateful for your patronage.

After four visits here I have come to the conclusion that if you like pizza with toppings this is not the place for you. For 12.00 you will get the best cheese pizza you have ever eaten. For 18.00 you get a pizza with very few toppings couple of onion slivers, a few chunks of meat. That six dollars should add some extras. Not just make the customer laugh at how little they put on. If they would throw some toppings on their House pizza, that thing would be amazing! It would blow away a Mellow Mushroom pizza. They absolutely make a perfect crust. This place makes a good pizza, but who doesn’t?
