La Casita Restaurant

Came here for the first time with my family and we ordered a variety of dishes, including: molcajete especial, campechana, shrimp fajitas, camarones a la diabla, carne asada and a michelada which was huge. Everything was delicious, portion sizes were good for the price. The service was average. I’m definitely coming back.

There food is really good, cant say a bad thing about their food and their micheladas are actually the best I had in Hayward. Only giving them 3 stars because of their service, depending when you go sometimes they are fast other times not so much. They seem like they are always short staffed, one time there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant, poor thing. When I do go, I know I’m going to a wait awhile and have a few beers while I wait… lol! But if your hungry I recommend for you to go when they hire more staff or go when its slow.

Waited about 30 min, standing up, without even being offered a menu during all this time, not even a «I’ll be right with you» or anything. I wasn’t the only one who left because of the long waits. This place needs to hire more people!

La torta de milanesa de pollo esta HORRIBLE La lechuga es de bolsa y ya esta hechada a perder, si uno paga, es para que almenos la comida este en buen estado y sabrosa alo cual este «RESTAURANT» ya no tiene solo puede vender cerveza y la comida les sabra buena esas personas que toman.

Came her with the parentals cuz pops wanted to try it out. They have all kinds of dishes and tortas ahogadas, molcajetes etc. I went for three tacos de carnitas and my dad and husband got the shrimp. We al enjoyed our food but be careful with the salsa on the tacos that thing was spicy!!! Hahahah but it was yummy.

I’m not sure why the bad reviews this place makes you feel at home. Yes the décor is out dated but they are always cleaning so they keep clean the old stuff they have to work with which I appreciate. There’s a small location and the staff speaks hardly any English so heads up if you don’t speak Spanish. The molcajetes are awesome and my daughter always gets the garlic shrimp plate. I wouldn’t recommend the soups they are bland for my taste, everything else though is full of flavor.

I came here and ordered a milcajete with all seafood and it was super delicious!!! The staff was extremely nice even though it was only 2 girls for a full house. Definitely coming back.

Very bad service the waitress prioritize men customers only I Ben there a few times food is good if you got your food I Ben there three times never got what I order because the dumb girl mixes shit up n don’t bring ur food unless ur a man I asked for a spoon waited 10mins mind you I had my 7months old daughter I needed to feed with the spoon I had to get up and get it unfortunately I will never be going back Cuz of this rude ass waitress that claims she is the Manger when I asked for the Manger never have I ever Been treated so bad were I don’t even Wana go back to this establishment I want a refund for the times I went and never got my food I’m done with this place and shitty service

We had the worst service. I read the reviews when we arrived but my father in law really wanted to try it. Our waitress did not smile once. She took the drink order from half our table and the other half had to order once she returned later for the food. My father in law didn’t get his water for 30 mins after the food had arrived. Never got offered refills not even after she came back and we asked for the water we never got once everyone was already done with their drinks. The table next to us was a group of men that ordered a few drinks before their food, she was much more attentive to them, but still got three of their orders wrong. The food was ok. It took forever to get the bill. And she then came to ask what we got again. Once we looked over it none of the prices matched what we ordered. We asked for a box, when she brought it she handed it to me over my head as she looked away and basically shoved it in my face if I hadn’t moved. Definitely some of the worse service we’ve had. EVER!

Food was cold the waitress ignored us for 30 min and sent the other waitress over to take care of us while she sat at the bar section while being on her phone

Not a big fan burrito was burned. Nachos meat burned I think they need a differnt cook.

Good for meat lovers… vegetarians not good. I request a veggie torta ahogada… terrible, bread was really hard almost impossible to eat! After that I order a simple quesadilla con mushrooms, after 45 minutes they finally brought my order! Nothing special in that quesadillas, so I don’t understand why I was waiting 40 min for a tortilla with cheese and mashrooms! Waitress really nice girls she didn’t charge for the torta but my experience in that restaurants was a disaster! No recommend this place to any one!

Super good food, very authentic. This reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking. The waitress was sweet and worked the whole restaurant herself and got things out at great timing. I had a Carne Asada wet burrito and the Carne Asada wad delicious. I will be going back.

I give this place two stars because they made the enchiladas with burrito tortillas not good at all next time I will just order rice and beans that was the only good thing on my plate and the salad wich they put it right next to the enchiladas to mix

Worst food and customer service I’ve had in a long time.
Had the milanesa — it was dry and overcooked, the food was lukewarm.
My friend had the chilaquiles, she sent them back because her place was cold.
We waited a long time for our cold food, and waited even longer for the check.
AVOID!

Good food! Went here on a Saturday night and there were only 2 waitresses. They seemed very disinterested in everything and everyone; hardly made eye contact. Took a while to get our orders. It might be that we don’t speak Spanish; felt a little out of place.

Bad quality food, some rotten lettuce, some spoiled avocado on my plate, shrimp tacos taste like dogfood I couldn’t even finish my food and I’m so hungry… going next door for something edible dont even care what just hope i’m not gonna be sick.

The first time I went here for take out, the bistec ranchero was good, but the waittress completely ignored me, except to take my order and get my money. while I waited for my food i observed the waittress treat a hispanic family really nice and gave them service. however she treated me as if I was a bum off the street… not even worth the time.
The second time I went in, only because I liked their bistec ranchero and I like to support the businesses in my neighborhood as much as possible, it was after 6 on friday the 2^nd of may, not busy at all. I watched the waittresses, as I sat at the bar to order to go, treat the Hispanic family and black man great. Mind you, im still waiting at the bar to order to go, when the waittresses came back to the bar. one started pouring salsa into a container right in front of me, ignoring me even though I greated her w/​a smile and hello. Then another hispanic family walked in an immediately were greeted nice and friendly… Then she came back to the bar, looked at me… then both of them turned their backs on me and continued ignoring me. Talk about the most racist restaurant I have ever been to. They refused to serve me because I look white. how else can you explain the way I was treated? They were horrible to be so racist! supernice to anyone hispanic, but ignored me cause im white. no wonder the place is empty for a Friday. hope their business closes from being so broke. I urge people not to go to this racist restaurant. We, as American citizens should ban businesses like this. Racism is never ok. If this were a white owned business and they treated a hispanic person that way… it would be all over the news… and people would be picketting outside, and the community would ban the business until it closed. I guess in this day and age racism is ok as long as its not a white person doing it.

My friend and I decided to stop in on a Sunday afternoon. The place is very loud and has a festive atmosphere however a bit overwhelming and uncomfortable. Chips were brought out but the salsa was like water. No possible way for anyone to dip their chips in this. Menu is HUGE and is most likely the reason everything takes forever to make. There’s no way a kitchen of such a small size can execute so many items efficiently and consistently. Very strange tasting overly acidic sautéed squid, a couple snow crab legs, green mussels, and whole shrimp were added as garnish. Alongside a pretty watery pile of lettuce with flavorless ‘dressing’. Now mind you, we were two people dining at a small table and this banquet platter took up 60% of the table. Now the waitress brings out two entrees but they were for the table next to us (who by the way had 3 obnoxious children screaming the whole time). So the entrees are switched and ours come out about five minutes later. My dining partner never received his tortillas and I only got 3 flour tortillas when I asked for corn. Both entrees were flavorless and poorly executed. The «margaritas» are «Bud Light Lime-​A-​Rita» and are poured from a can.
Had to BEG for a water refill.
Clueless servers. Lazy untrained kitchen staff. Absent management.
Get your shit together.

Something quick and delicious is always great
Was sat quickly, big portions, cheap food, quick service, friendly staff. Check it out Unilocal world only had the nachos but pretty good and filling

Outrageous molcajete camorones. (Shrimp and veggies in a pot with yummy broth)
Friendly staff.
Tacky orange décor.
Super authentic menu and customer base.
Tons of seafood.
They’ve got my vote! :o)
