I ordered lunch for work and was very happy with the service, price, and the food. The pupusas were so yummy and not greasy! The girl who helped me was very friendly. I ordered a total of 38 pupusa’s for $ 104 including tax. They were ore than enough, probably fed close to 20 people. They gave so much cabbage and salsa. They even through in a 2 liter of coke. I will definitely go back when I am craving pupusas!

This place should have 5 stars. I’m sorry, but if you go to ANY pupuseria with the intent on getting five star«service» or enjoying some swankiness then you must be a hipster or a huge a$$hole. Pupuseria’s should be two things: quick(15 minutes max) and absolutely delicious. Los Planes is both of these. The salsa and curtido are amazing, they remind me of my exes moms’ and she used to make the BEST pupusas and curtido. I have them on speed dial if I’m ever in a rush to get my pupusa fix, I call ahead and there’s hardly any wait time for my pupusas mixtas.

The Wait! To order and get food is ridiculous literally we waited because of their great and tasty pupusas. I recommend to call-in in advance.

Always very friendly and the pupusas are the best I’ve ever had. I recently moved from Los Angeles so this was amazing to find here in the bay. The tacos definitely do not compare to those from LA but these pupusas do! Its inexpensive and so good. Try it!

The boy and I went back for a second time yesterday. We had another really good experience. The staff is really friendly! The space is extremely clean and the booths are really comfortable. As for the food, awesome! He got three pupusas and I got the combo of one pupusa with rice and beans. We also both got Suprema beers. There was zero grease/oil on the plates. Can’t wait to go back!

Hayward has almost nothing good to offer lay eight! Luckily I spotted this place. Good portions for such a reasonable price. The woman assisting us was so sweet and prompt. She got a little rush towards the end of our meal but she handled it very well saying hi to everyone and closing us out quickly. We ordered a couple of pupusas and a combo plate. Everything was yummy. 4 stars only because the parking situation sucked but I live in SF so taking 10mun to find parking as opposed to 20+ isn’t horrible lol !

I was craving some pupusas and I saw the reviews on Unilocal so I decided to go. The restaurant was clean, lots of customers. I ordered chicken pupusas to go and waited about 45 minutes. Which was ridiculous. They were probably short on staff cause I just saw 2 people in the front. The taste of the pupusas was ok. They have a good selection on their menu, so the rating is based on the taste of pupusas and service.

I love there Pupusas combination plate hate the 25minute wait time and they open kind of late 11am and closed Tuesday’s so I would order in advance. Other than that I love eating here.

I love this pupuseria. They’ve changed the environment a bit revently, but the quality of the food is still the star of the show. The service is excellent as well.

I’ve been here several times. I was disappointed once, but I gave them another chance. I went there with my gf and it was great again. The platanos fritos with sour cream and beans are the best in Hayward, in my opinion. The pupusas are also very good.

I came here on a rainy day before a meeting in Oakland because as usual, I had a random ass craving. On this day, it was pupusas! I ended up ordering the Revuelta Pupusa(combo), the Loroco Pupusa and on a whim, the Chicken Tamal. Both pupusas were awesome with the pickles and salsa. The cheese was really melty and delicious in both pupusas. The star however, was the tamal! I usually don’t like tamals but man this is hands down one of the best I have had. The masa was tender with a little bit of bite, and was stuffed with chunks of chicken, pickles and potatoes. It was so good I wanted to lick the plate clean. If you have a hankering for a damn good tamal and some tasty pupusas with great friendly service, come to Los Planes!

Had pupusas, rice and beans, and my butch had the combo with a tamale and enchilada. The place is a diner type atmosphere and very clean. It was dead when we went in at 2pm on a weekday. Waitress super friendly and good. I realize I’m a niche with this, but I’m annoyed that they put cheese in stuff when it’s not listed on the menu. For example, the zucchini pupusa has cheese. Once I thought about it, it made sense, but put it on the menu list of ingredients! Rice was fine, beans were good. My butch liked the tamale, but it was not to my taste.

Was running an errand in Hayward and finally made it to Los Planes de Renderos. The friendly waitress explained that the owner here was the original owner of the SF restaurant of the same name, but sold it when she opened the Hayward location. Anyway, they have both masa and rice flour pupusas and all varieties are $ 2.25 along with other Salvadoran and Mexican dishes. I got a corn pupusa with loroco and cheese and a rice flour pupusa with chicharrón and beans along with some Horchata and a Tamal de Puerco. I love Salvadoran horchata compared to Mexican The morro seeds give it a nuttiness and the version here has a light chocolatey flavor. Very smooth with absolutely no grittiness( ) The tamal was first out and is wrapped in a banana leaf( ) plenty of moist chunks of pork along with strips of carrot and bell peppers( ). Here they bring small bowls of the salsa and curtido( ). The salsa was the typical thin and mild red stuff and the curtido was fresh and crunchy. Despite having a decent amount of red pepper flakes, the curtido was pretty mild( ) You can really see the difference between the masa and rice flour pupusas highlighted by the greater browning of the rice one on the right( ). There wasn’t that much loroco, so that one was dominated by the cheese, which unfortunately stayed in the pupusa so no crisp griddled cheese :( The rice flour one was really tough to cut through even with a knife. I turned it over and found the bottom side a little burned up( ) making that half more cracker like. The rice flour pupusa(non-burned parts) was denser and chewier than the masa pupusa(I prefer the masa’s texture) and the filling was mostly bean with pockets of pork. Pupusas: 2.5−3 stars Tamal: 3.5 stars Horchata: 5 stars! Overall: 3.5 stars. Rounding up for the friendly service.

hubs and I ordered pupusas on the phone for pick up. we were told that it will be about 30 mins for 16 pupusas and sides. Not too bad. we got there a bit early so we ordered drinks while waiting. the ladies were very nice and helpful. pupusas: were pretty good. I’ve had better but this place is not too bad. I think their sauce and slaw could be a bit better tho. the dining area is large. and spacious. clean. small parking area on the side. oh yeah, they forgot to give us the rice and beans we ordered.
