If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been here about 4 – 5 times before but the visit today will be my last for sure. I’ve had a less than desirable experience here before but nothing like today. The food is decent but the customer service is the worst I’ve seen and they overcharge their customers. When I went to the front desk, I was charged $ 38.90 for two bowls of phở, two smoothies, and spring rolls. At first I didn’t think anything of it because I was sort of in a rush because I had to be somewhere. I tried paying with my card and the lady told me «cash only» and I thought that was odd because there was clearly a sign immediately to my left that says«$ 10 minimum for credit/debit transactions». I asked if I could see the receipt and she just showed me a paper with what looked like scribbles on it. I asked how much the smoothies were and she said $ 4 each. I said«okay, so how could the total be $ 38.90 when the bowls of phở are only about $ 8 to $ 9 each?» I asked if she could show me the price of each item I was being charged for and she didn’t answer. So I turned to grab a menu and look up the prices myself. While I was looking at the menu and adding up the prices of all the things I purchased, she walked away. So I ordered the special beef phở bowl, which is $ 9 on the menu, and my girlfriend ordered beef stew which is $ 8.25 for a medium bowl. We also got spring rolls as an appetizer($ 5.25) and two jack fruit smoothies($ 3.75 each). So that’s 9 + 8.25 + 5.25 + 3.75 + 3.75 = 30. I showed the man what I calculated and he looked at my bill and did some calculation on the cash register again and said, «yeah, $ 38.90». So I was like… «Uhh okay, but I just showed you that I added it up as well myself and got $ 30.» He simply said they also charge 10% tax. 10% of 30 is 3.(30 * 0.1 = 3). So I should have been charged $ 33. Not $ 38.90. The people running this place are extremely shady and not trustworthy at all. They should be put out of business for this shady activity, if you ask me. If someone reading this does decide to eat here, PLEASE check your bill before you pay or else they will try to rip you off too.

I came here after work with my girl for dinner. The place is fairly small and feels crowded with all the tables crammed in. We ordered the steak phở with water to drink. Our food came out pretty quick for how busy it was. The phở was really good and full of flavor. The service was not that great, they don’t come and check on you for refills or anything else unless you flag them down and they really try to push ordering extra stuff. Not a bad place overall but I think I will try other places for phở before coming back.

I usually don’t take time to give a review because I’m a busy person but in this case I just had to take the time this restaurant is the most disgusting Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to the service was horrible the staff very unfriendly the floors were so dirty I almost slipped and fell I wouldn’t come back here if they paid me

One word. Unsanitary! it was really gross in here. I mean the floors looked that they haven’t been swept or mopped in months. The holders for the spoons and chopsticks were so disgusting. lets move onto the food. I ordered chicken phở. The chicken was not soft at all it was so gross. It was hard and chewy. Probably old, stale chicken sitting out? I don’t know how this place has stars. It probably will not pass inspection.

Every time I order I have to remind them I need everything I paid for. The customer service could be better, they don’t give enough beef in their beef stew even if you do pay extra. I’ve come to this location 8 or 9 times and I’m still always rushed out with an incomplete order.

I seriously want to give this place at least 3 stars but everytime i order from them, they either forget something, charge me more than what I ordered, get my orders wrong, or gives me hella attitude. With that being said, I have been a customer for a while. And despite all the wrong orders, I kept coming back. But this is just getting annoying. They need to get someone that can speak and understand english fluently to answer their calls. They were charging me 40.50 when I only ordered a #10, a spring roll and a thai tea. I dont know what they charged me for, but when i called, i asked the guy to even repeat my order on the phone because i know they tend to hear me wrong most of the time. He did get my order right on the phone but somehow got there and was overcharged. They all looked mad at me and the guy was saying something in vietnamese and he seemed pissed. Im not tryna pay for something that I didnt specifically order. Other times they would forget to put two plates in the bags and when I come back tells me that we didnt pay for everything. Its not my fault that they forget to put things where theyre supposed to be. I tried giving them more chances than I should have but I think this is the last time I am going there. I’m just one customer lost, but the things that they kept getting wrong were things that could have been prevented.

In the past… 5 – 6 months that I have been working in the Hayward area… there has only been 2 restaurants that I’ve eaten in for lunch. This is the only one of the two that I’ve gone to more than once. If you are not the friendly type, or you are eating by yourself or with one other person and don’t like the idea of being sat with another random customer, this is probably not the restaurant for you. With the lunch crowd and the limited(in relation to the crowd) seating, chances are, you may be rubbin elbows(or at least sharing sriricha or hoisin sauce) with someone you don’t know.

This a review coming from someone who has been here only twice. First time, I thought it was four-almost five stars. Second time around, it deserves only a two. Why I subtracted two stars was due to HORRIBLE customer service and unsanitary. When we first walked in, we were greeted and there was four of us in the party. There was an empty table, ready to be used and there was another table, which still had plates and everything on it. Guess which table we were seated at? The used table, so we had to wait for them to clean it. Next thing, my aunt asked for tea while the rest of us ordered water. The waitress gave us three waters, but no tea. So we asked again for the tea and she handed us hot tea in a water glass. Really? I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to give hot tea in a kettle along with a small cup. The old man then comes to our table for our orders then we asked if can we have another water. He proceeds to ask us «Why do you want to order a water now and then another tea?» Why not?! You’re not the one drinking it, so again — why not?!? We found this so rude. After that, we already knew this place is NOT worth the time.

Worst experience ever. It’s just $ 30.45 meal but the cashier accidentally swiped my credit card and charged me $ 330.45,she didn’t tell me what happened until she gave me 2 receipts, one is $ 330.45,the second one is void amount $ 360.45.After the unpleasant episode happened, they didn’t apologize to me and just said dnt worry abt it. Well, the service sucked. I’m wondering they know hospitality or not. By the way, the food there was just so so. I really dnt recommend anyone if they haven’t tried the restaurant before to go there.

Our go-to spot for phở cravings, especially during late night hours past 9. We’ve pretty much been here more times than the number of fingers on our hands, but it’s because it’s good, it’s authentic, it’s fast, and it’s super close! We usually get Phở Tai Nam, Phở dac biet, bun bo hue, or some vermicelli noodle bowl with the spring rolls and meat. Other than that, our adventure throughout the menu has been pretty basic, but that doesn’t mean we wont get to those other delicious items! BIGGESTPROS: FAST — you order, you say your ABC’s, and your food is in front of you! AUTHENTIC — I’ve had my share of Vietnamese restaurants, and although the best is still in San Jose, this will do for being just down the street from our house. SERVICE — always nice, always greeting you, always making sure you have what you need as soon as you need it. SPACE — plenty seating, you’ll never have to wait! SMOOTHIES — random, but it’s true… the taro smoothie and avocado smoothies with pearl are a must with you hot bowl of goodness :) CONS: the bathroom can be a bit cleaner! Other than that, if you’re ever in Hayward, just check it out! especially now with all the lovely rain… it’s definitely Phở WEATHER!

I’m kinda into phở these days lol… I don’t like phở before though… I really like this place, it feels like a family run restaurant, super casual. Great location for me because it is near Chabot. The price is really affordable hehe. I really like the senior waitress(i assume??). She is just soooooo cool lol i like her. She memorizes the whole menu. I always get the spicy one these day, the bhh? i forget the name… anyway! it is good! Especially now it is gettinf so cold, i feel so good when i drink the spicy hot soup. This review is based on my overall experience. I like this place and I sure will be back. ^^

So this place has been growing on me. My broth as of recent has been so amazing and my new found appreciation of hot chili oil has brought me back here once a week. You have to order the strawberry boba. I prefer it over actual Boba shops. This place is a beautiful little gem in Hayward.

Always get the beef stew with egg noodle. Something about the broth. Like many other Vietnamese restaurants, they have rice plates, vermicelli, and boba drinks. But not watered down or bland. One of the few places in Hayward to go to for Phở.

Phở Ty ll only had one vietnamese table, the rest other Asians. eats:phở tai gan(8.25XL) –lg bowl, not a lot of noodles nor protein –broth slightly beefy, very sweet, had slight aftertaste(msg) –just a few twigs of basil, few dozen bean sprouts –still felt hungry afterwards –cheap pricing but not much food. take outs: –cashier just added $ 1 for tax to bill, making it 12% when the rate in hayward is 10% –of course no checkins 2.5 stars

— Shrimp spring rolls: decent, nothing out of the ordinary but their hoisin sauce was not so yummy. Was pretty clumpy and weirdly salty tasting. — Phở Ga: $ 7 for a regular size, quite plentiful especially if you askf for extra meat. Broth was pretty good /standard. — Avocado shake: tasted pretty fresh, quite good and creamy Biggest downside here is that I didn’t really like their hoisin sauce… Nonetheless, small mom and pop joint that’ll do in a pinch

Spring rolls super fresh but peanut sauce is rather salty(not as sweet as other places) Vermicelli bowls are decent, salad parts are nothing fancy/nice but fresh enough. Beef is tender and egg roll hot and crispy. They played Big Bang theory on the tv!

First time here and I ordered take out phở(#19) raw steak and brisket. When I called the place the order, wasn’t quite sure if the woman who answered even took it, or just hung up cause she said about two words, but I showed up and my phở was ready. It was all separated which was great, so nothing got over cooked while traveling back to work. Everything was included as far as bean sprouts, herbs and plum sauce/sriracha was concerned. The phở broth was a bit on the sweeter side than I’m used to, but still good. I would recommend this place to people in the are for a nice phở lunch or dinner.

First phở since we moved here and I am no phở expert. Keeping that in mind, here goes. The restaurant is small with pictures of the food along the walls. There was only one table of three already eating, so there was plenty of room. We got our water right away, but as someone else mentioned, drink it slowly. There are no automatic refills. I decided I wanted the beef phở, but the owner recommended the beef and brisket. I imagine he recommended it because there was a big pot of it in the back, but since it was exactly what I wanted plus a little more, I took him up on his suggestion. We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer(don’t ask). They came out after the phở, which came out immediately after we ordered! We enjoyed the phở, with fresh basil, bean sprouts and lime. I let my partner have all the jalapeños. We ordered medium phở, but in my book it was pretty large for a medium. We saved room to try one of the wings. They were large, still warm and tender with a delicious hint of garlic. Standard Vietnamese fare? I think not, but still tasty. The phở was good, the broth tasty. Using Phở Ty II as my baseline and with no horrible missteps, three stars is appropriate. I read reviews after dinner about the owner being shady. That was not my experience. I did add up the bill before paying. It was easy. Everything was in $ 7 increments. I didn’t realize we wouldn’t get an itemized check, so I’m glad I figured it out before going up to pay. I suggest anyone figure out their tab before getting up to pay, just so they feel comfortable they’re not getting ripped off. Our charges were spot on. The owner said, «See you tomorrow», which I thought was cute/funny.

This is a very small Restaraunt next to Carl’s jr off hesperian. Me and the gf come here to get my phở fix and she gets her bon bue hue. The service here is mediocre, they don’t really speak English that well, and there have been times they got my order wrong. The food comes out super fast. and is the only reason why I love this place. The food is BOMB. They are so generous when it comes to food, and it just always hits the spot. I recommend the appetizer #2(fresh spring rolls) and #8 the phở combo. So delicious. Try to conserve your water or be prepared to continue to raise your hand to get a refill lol. This place does take credit/debit card so that’s a plus. The food is affordable is for two people it’s around $ 20 for two entrée meals and an appetizer. Not too bad right? I hope this helps you decide on what hangover food you choose !
