They get one star because i don’t have a choice. They don’t deserve any! They are very rude and they got our orders wrong. The main reason of going to eat out is because of service and food. Some of us worked a hard day and deserve good service and dB maybe a friendly smile… age all you are a paying customer, with as many Vietnamese restsurants there are out there, Mr phở is not the only choice. There are better places with much better food and 200% better service. As ft or the food we ordered the phở #1 and it was wrong, we even did not get three of the meats stated, our fresh spring rolls were forgotten and hadp to remind them, then only got 2. The skimped out on b the fillings. And no spoons at our table. They gave enough bean sprouts for a child and went asked for more, they acted as it was gold snd gave us a pinch more. The bowls were ordered. Never will return and do not recomend.

They are rude and disrespectful I really wanted to take my tip back after he told me to leave outside with my daughters in the cold and wait for the rest of my order. it’s sad that the food is good but it’s definately not worth dealing with these people.

First and last time trying this place. Wife and I craving phở, tried this place. Let’s just say disappointed, spring rolls need to soak them in peanut dipping sauce, only way to get them down. Phở was fair at best

Came here with a group of 11. I ordered the phở tai small. For some reason my broth was super oily. I tried to scoop out the oil, but the more I scooped the more oil floated to the top. I asked the server to change it, and she was kind enough to do it after seeing how greasy my broth was compared to my bf, who ordered the same thing. I didn’t really like the broth, felt like it missing something. Also, you should just get a small here. The large is basically the same size as the small, just with more broth. Everyone left still hungry. The only thing that was good here was the actual phở noodle itself. You should also double check your bill. They charged us for 13 orders, when we only had 11 orders. It took forever for them to correct it. My aunt also told me they overcharged when she came here with her company as well…

Still tastes great, but the portions seems less. Fresh spring roll have become almost bite size. I am not a fan of restaurant cutting portions, I rather see them increase their prices. Owner(elder lady) is so rude and angry. No thank you, nothing. When I ask for to go containers, she practically threw them at me as I was writing the tip on cc receipt. No tips for you and a few less stars.

We ate there tonight and had the beef stew soup. Usually the broth is good with only minimal oil but tonight it was super ultra oily for all three of us. We let them know and the boss lady looked really annoyed. When she came over she had no choice but to say sorry as it was not right. We had to seperate the oil from our soups into a seperate bowl and get more soup to replenish half back. The worst part she got snappy at my mom who asked for an extra bowl. I like the food here but the service is going down for us or just bad luck lately. I’m starting to get a bad feeling when I come here. Hope this is the last bad experience… Look at the photo of the small bowl. All oil.

I seriously cannot eat here anymore… and I wish I can give them negative 100 stars… First of all, their service sucks. They don’t check up on you at all and you have to always wave them down to get your water filled. When they bring your phở, WATCHOUT, they can spill it on you or on the table so steer clear! Second, I don’t recommend ordering their boba drinks bc they charge nearly $ 4 for a SMALLTINY cup of it… Third, their food/phở isn’t even good. And MOSTIMPORTANTLY, we found a BANDAIDINOURBROTHERSSOUP!!! HOW??? WHYY??? CANYOUSAYTRAUMATIZEDFORLIFE. GROSS!!!

I came here to eat a couple times, since it was near work and I’ve been getting bored of the limited selection of places to go for lunch. I had their Bun Bo Hue, Phở, Bun thit nuong. The way the restaurant is set up is very Americanized in my opinion. The food will be decent for people who don’t eat this type of food on a regular basis. I thought that their dishes were average, not great, but not horrible either. I live in San Jose so good Vietnamese food is not far away. The Bun Bo Hue noodles I had were broken making it hard to eat with chopsticks since the strands were short. Broth was alright. The Phở was alright, portion was big, broth was alright, meats were average quality. The Bun Thit Nuong, was alright was well, not used to having it served on a dish. The pork was tough unfortunately, everything was fine. I would stop by again time to time if I get bored of other food options.

The costumer service is reaaaaally bad, the women owner seems angry all the time and the waiter are rude. I asked for two water without ice twice but when the water came they still served us with ice! And then I asked without ice again, the owner who served us looks so angry. The dish is good, but lack of costumer service!

Only came here because our Phở spot was too packed, what a bad decision. I wish we just waited. Anyways we’re here sitting in the front waiting area during a busy hour waiting to be seated as the posted signs say. Just then two construction workers come in, fob as hell, and they’re immediately seated before us as they leave a trail of dust from their boots behind them. I can’t even think about this anymore as we sit here annoyed and still waiting for our food. If you want a review on their good we’ve been here before and it’s actually not that bad but not exceptionally better than hole in the wall; scratch that, most hole in the wall Phở restaurants are pretty great compared to the service and experience Mr. Phở has to offer. Nice establishment but the service is whack af. After 40 minutes of waiting we dipped. Mr. Phok yall slow service.

The staff here are rude, I don’t know if it’s a language barrier but they lack customer service skills. Every time I come in here I feel like I’m being a burden to them for just even taking down my order, especially when they are busy. But even on days when they are not busy they are still rude ! One of the Waiters(the older man that always looks mad) yelled me and said«we are busy»! When I got up to ask for a to go box. Rude !! The only reason I come here it’s because its conveniently close to where I live and the food is served quickly!

In terms of phở, this place is decent. I’m a regular customer here, however there have been a couple of occasions that left a sour taste in my mouth. They’ve gotten my order wrong multiple times. Ive called in a to-go order and got there only to find out that they hadn’t even made our orders and had to wait another hour to eat. And, last night was one of the worst. We had walked in at 8:30PM, half an hour before closing. I asked for fresh phở noodles and got our order and found that there was only a fraction of the usual amount of noodles in the bowl. They employees even turned away a family who walked in before closing and told them«sorry we’re closed» they seemed to be in such a hurry to go home that their service was lacking. I will not be coming back for dinner after this experience.

4 stars because we come here whenever we need a phở fix and the food is always really good. Their portions are large, the prices are decent and the food usually comes out fairly quick. Like many of the other reviews on here, their customer service(aside processing orders quickly) is pretty non-existent. That being said, here are some tips when dining at Mr. Phở: — practice your fly-swatting technique before getting here, one-handed is preferable so that you can eat with the other — steer clear of some of the servers when they are setting up your table — they like to toss the silverware/napkins — know your order before you call your server — otherwise, you will be subjected to their death stares and a lot of huffing and puffing — anticipate having to walk up to the cashier for just about any request you have(need your water refilled, issue with order, need more napkins, etc.) because after you order, you probably won’t be able to get a hold of them again — if you have a child, expect to be seated in the back corner of the restaurant near the extra chairs and booster seats — If you order spring rolls and do not eat the pork, ask for them to make it without pork or they will scold you for being wasteful Follow these guidelines and you might just be able to see past the suck-y customer service and really be able to enjoy the food.

The phở is okay. But to be honest, the only reason I stopped coming here is because this place lacks customer service. They just don’t care much about their customers. My bf and I came here once a week for like four months — sometimes twice a week — and they just acted like they didn’t recognize us. Mr. Phở isn’t even a busy place, there were times when there was only 2 other customers there. Once, I ran out of water and I looked around hoping to catch their eye. They were just sitting down and their eyes were glued to the TV… Something like that happened more than once where I had to get up and actually get their attention for more water. My bf and I now go to Phở Ty. They treat us well there, and even make jokes. On top of their great customer service, their phở is delicious.

My boyfriend found a fly in his soup and the restaurant’s reaction to it was atrocious, appalling, disgusting, HORRENDOUS. It hurts me to give this place a 1 star review. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this place and frequent this place quite often(at least once a month the past year). We were the ones spreading good words to our friends and family to try this place(and they did!). Today will be the day we will stop giving our support and respect to this phở establishment. The phở was good. We were munching and slurping away on our noodles until my bf let out a squawk. THEREWAS A FATFLYINHISSOUP. DISGUSTING. We were trying to get a hold of a waiter for a long time by flaring our arms like lunatics. A waiter saw us but didn’t do anything(he was serving another customer). So my bf walked up to the cashier where the angry exchanged happened. The cashier/owner/whoever he was reacted rudely to my boyfriend’s comment about the fly in the soup. My bf requested another dish as a replacement but the man was being rude and raised his voice at him. The man was then even more upset at my boyfriend for not knowing what to order as a replacement, as if we know the entire menu on the spot. The man did not provide an apology, was incredibly impolite to our concerns, and had no empathy. Anyways, since the man was being rude, we decided to leave and the man decided not to charge us. We understand that bugs will inevitably appear in foods, but if a restaurant refuses to acknowledge it and disrespect their customers, we will not support them.

I only come for food only not for service. I love phở here but service was horrible. There is always a curly hair lady with glasses there who I believe are rude and have attitude with us all the time. Last time we came at 8:30 and she rushed us to order and had attitude with us like hey, we close at 9 pm so you better to eat fast and leave. At 9:10, she come to our table and ask us to leave because they are closed. Wow ! Today, we decided to give this place other chance. The curly lady still here and her face is super cold. She didn’t provide any service to anyone Except taking order. We have to come to counter to ask for water, bill, go to container and serve ourselves. What kind of service was that ? We come here to eat and pay not begging for free food . Very disappointed and never come back !

The portions are big enough to feed a hungry man and very affordable too. Phở realz. We had 3 combo rice plates, a large bowl of beef stew with egg noodles and 2 appetizers(cha gio & spring rolls) total money spent? $ 40! I’ve never seen my brother so happy paying for the check. Makes me wonder why I always end up with the bill at an expensive steakhouse?!

Can’t beat a bowl of good BBH when you’re hungover on a Sunday morning! The broth had a good base and flavor to it, especially with the lingering taste of lemon grass. It was HOT, not too greasy with just the perfect kick of spice! The servers are more than generous in giving extra veggies on the side! One thing that stood out to me here is that they didn’t include the big piece of pork, A little disappointing since that is one of the main things BBH is known for. I personally don’t eat this but i know alot of people that LOVE it. The bowl was around 8.75, I believe, which is a little over priced as compared to other places around the area.
