I found them be very helpful and would recommend them highly.
I needed a temporary place to store the contents of my garage while some work was being done and decided to rent a pod to keep in my driveway. The desired location was narrow and sloped but the PODS driver was masterful and precisely nudged and shifted the Box into place. When it came time to pick up, it was the same.

PODS was great on the phone signing me up for their service and taking down all my payment information. HOWEVER, as soon as there was a problem I could not get anyone on the phone. Also, the driver was terrible. The driver had difficulty putting the container in our driveway. Instead of communicating with us to resolve the issue (it was easily fixable) he DROVE AWAY when we went in the house. PODS totally abandoned us and we had to cancel our order and go with another moving company– last minute. They continued to charge us however, and haven’t given us our money back. They need more strategies for loading and unloading in an urban area– slopes, tight spaces, etc.

I was so excited to get a POD for my moving needs. I measured my fence opening in the back of my home which is 12 feet wide. I was informed that the requirement for the POD was 12 feet. Once the POD arrived they were unable to place the POD in behind the fence in the back of my house. I understand that there are times that one is unable to place a container in a given location due to width/​hight requirements. So the driver left the POD in my front driveway telling my father that I could still park my Van. (See picture attached) How so? I called them to take it back. I was charged $ 160 for pick up and delivery for the POD unit. I went with 1800-​PackRats. They were able to deliver their 16 ft continer within their 12 ft. width requirement.

While the POD itself was convenient, the final delivery and pick up were both late. The customer service on the phone told us that they would deliver 1pm, it came at 6pm. Then we had to unload that evening in the dark for pickup the next day. Hey said 9−10am, but came at 1pm. We could have taken our time to unload when we had light but were rushed by the quoted times. We were disappointed.

Bait and Switch Tactics!
Went online to order a POD to store our furnishings while remodeling our home. Received an online quote which beat the competition. Later got an email from Travis Jasper saying «PODS Special Offer.» After contacting Travis he said he would give me a discounted rate on first month and delivery. After the POD was delivered I received an email with the rental agreement, charging us $ 22 more per month than the online quote. When I contacted PODS Carly told me she couldn’t do anything about the price difference because I placed my order through a person rather than online.
