Stopped by very quick on my way to class. I believe the owner himself helped me. Whoever he was he was very friendly and welcoming. I got won ton soup which I’m eating right now and it is so delicious that I had to share. I love goof broth, veggies and won tons! Great service, great price and great food! I will be back and it will be my go to spot before class!

I gave Sunflower 2 Four Stars because this small bistro is friendly and the portions are good. It is a small neighborhood bistro. I was there for lunch and the place was full. The patrons were ½ office workers and neighborhood folks. There is not much ambiance but it is clean and well organized. They will get you in and out but not rush you to flip tables. The restrooms were clean which is always worth an extra star! I had a string bean & chicken rice plate. I was served 2 egg roll appetizers, a cup of hot ‘n sour soup with my meal. I did not taste any MSG after my meal-and that’s worth another star. If you are hungry and want a quick bite, Sunflower 2 deserves your business.

The food was pretty good. I was mostly disappointed because A) The prices are different on their menu than in person(~ $ 2+ more expensive) B) I went with 3 friends and 2 of us paid cash and the last was put on her card, and they completely messed up and charged her $ 20 when it should have been $ 10. The lady was trying to argue with us, and eventually, we were like whatever not worth it. They were rude and the food is eh. Won’t be returning!

Delicious string bean chicken; clean; decent service; large portions. Had a real nice lunch. I would say that the only negative was the strong smoke or wok smells permeating the eating area so they might want to check out their ventilation system.

We used to go to the original Sunflower in Castro Valley. Food was great. Sunflower 2 in Hayward is also pretty good. The original owner of CV is now at the Hayward location. Very friendly. Fried rice comes out steaming hot. Love the hot oil. Prices are reasonable. Will return.

Bland Chinese food with a smokey flavor. Mushroom Chicken dish was bland, the mixed chow main had little beef & shrimp was also bland. The restaurant needs more ventilation from the smokey wok.

Family is new to hayward. Sunflower 2 is definitely our go to for chinese food. Delicious everytime. Good price for quick and easy to grab meals. Good portions. Haven’t had the opportunity to dine in but hopefully we’ll find time to one day. Restaurant does a great job of ordering and having the food ready for pick up on time.

Yummy food! We have ordered the wonton soup, potstickers, bbq pork fried rice, broccoli chicken and moo shu pork with crepes. Everything tasted great. Fast service, friendly waitress who never let our tea or water go empty. Really nice and clean.

Usually order my usual Mongolian Beef. Today I took the adventurous route and tried the sautéed prawns and vegetables. As expected, I was not disappointed, and maybe found a new usual!

Pros: cooked well in terms of heat temperature. Flavor is good Cons: very less meat. I ordered the chowmein and there were barely noodles, mostly bean sprouts and cabbage. I wouldn’t come here again-there are better. I felt ripped off. Like Tins Tea Bistro– better quality and is considered authentic Chinese food.

Ive been here more then once and the service here is okay. I ask her for something she just continues to roll her eyes. She only favors people of her own race. Her food is good though no complaint about the food besides they use way too much vegetables. I ordered Mongolian beef and I got more vegetables and like a couple pieces of meat.

We’re regulars at Sunflower2, always an excellent meal no matter what you order. The chow mein is like no other, the same goes for the war wonton soup and the hot and sour soup! Excellent prawns, fried rice and other entrees, never been disappointed with our selections.

I just finished radiation treatments and all my taste went south. Everything tasted horrible. Trying to find something that might taste a little OK, I tried Sunflower’s egg drop soup. It was over the top good. Even though the soup is great as is, I do add some tofu and frozen carrots and peas to get a little more nutrition. I buy the large and I get two huge bowls of goodness. Thanks Sunflower. I hope to get my taste back soon so I can enjoy all your good food like I always have.

Great fresh food Stellar service. We are long time customers of the Sunflower in CV. Sunflower 2 is owned by the same family and retains the simple food, well done, concept. We really like the great service and daily seasonal specials. The only thing I would like to see is the availability of Beer and Wine.

Very nice restaurant that is convenient if I want Chinese food. Staff that took my order was really nice. The food was ready in time stated to me. It’s a little pricey here and they don’t make salt n pepper anything, that’s my only downfall with this place.

My favorite Chinese place. I can’t eat at any other Chinese places. It’s not the same. The hot & sour soup and vegetable chicken are to die for. They have great lunch specials too. I do think they need to hire more waiters so they’re not so overwhelmed during the peak times.

This is the place! I went there ISO some really good simple Chinese food. Nothing elaborate just tasty and good. I was a little skeptical at first because although the menu was basic they did not have any Bok Choy. At that point I drew suspicion, but ordered the mushroom chicken and the beef with bell peppers… May Ling, the server, very shy to some degree, but very beautiful and pretty. She was feeling a little concerned about my request but she placed my order. While waiting I had some really good hot tea– and it was cold and rainy outside as I began to relax. When the good came, Omg, the aroma was amazing and the presentation. Was outstanding! The beef with bell peppers had perfectly sliced beef with complimentary sliced onions and red and green bell peppers to match! The mushroom chicken– felt like I was in heaven when my lips touched the chopsticks. Oh and she gave me real chopsticks, not the wooden dummy chopsticks. The flavor, was like GOD made it herself(yes, I do believe good is a female) but let me tell you all something. This restaurant is the best kept secret in Hayward. It really was delicious, simple and very tasty. This location has became my diamond in the rough. I rarely give 5 stars, but this place earned it hands down. Go there today, visit the beautiful May Ling(I told her I would make her famous) and have them stir up a dish that is fit for a King or Queen!
