Rice Garden

Was in the area and randomly wanted to try… Not good. Ordered Governor’s Chicken lunch special, L17. There was too much sauce on chicken, fried rice was tasteless, the only thing decent was the egg roll. I had to throw the meal out, waste of money and time.

This review is partially influenced by my kids. … My kids love this place. The kids love the orange chicken and the fried rice. Me? Not so much. In my opinion, the food is bland. The fried rice is especially lacking flavor and seasoning. They give you so much of it, too! So whenever the kids request Rice Garden, I order from somewhere else. The bonus is they deliver and they are pretty fast!

I’m not one to waste food or money, but the vegetable noodle dish smelled awful and I had to throw it out.
In addition, the Asian woman at the counter was rude.
I’ll stick with Wing Wah from now on.

Wish I could only give a half star… Didn’t even get to try the food because the woman who was on the phone started yelling at me when I asked if I could have chow mein instead of fried rice with my entrée.

Great food at great prices. One of the better restaurants I’ve found outside of China Town.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! This lil dude just told me «we don’t give out fork wit meal after 3:30» WTH! Smh

I recently ordered from Rice garden at 11:30. My family and I ordered two shrimp fried rice and 4eggs. Inside one of the rices I found a bug. I called and took a picture the lady was very rude and refuse to give me my money back. I will be reporting this place to the health department in the Am.

Been ordering here for years. Delivery is AWESOME and fast and my foods always fresh. I don’t drive so they have saved dinner for my family PLENTY of times. Orange chicken is our fave and the crab Rangoon is delish!

We order from here often. In my opinion the food is average. The egg rolls are oily, the portions are small, the fried rice is often to oily but the General Tso is good. Unfortunately the service is HORRIBLE!!! My typical order would include 3 main dishes and a few side items for my family of 5. With out fail, we get two sweet and sour sauces and two soy sauces. When I request more I get a cold hard look of frustration. When placing an order by phone the person is usually rude. The only reason I continue to give them my business is because it is closer than the other similar location in the area and their service was not always this way. The memories of decent service are wearing thin. Once I’ve tired of dealing with the poor service I will travel whatever necessary distance to spend my money elsewhere. Their food is not good enough to continue putting up with the poor service.

I ordered from Rice Garden last night… They Deliver!!! Not too many restaurants in the South Suburbs deliver and if they do the delivery charge is 3 – 5 dollars, Rice Garden’s delivery charge is $ 1.95. The prices are very reasonable, I spent $ 24 on a large Shrimp Friend Rice, Orange Sesame Chicken (regular), Three Egg Rolls, and a regular size Egg Foo Young. The price was definitely worth it, the food was hot and delicious and it didn’t take long for them to deliver. I have already recommend Rice Garden to a few friends and I couldn’t wait to put my review on Unilocal because I enjoyed my meal so much. And the staff there was very polite and patient over the phone.

I wanna cry!!! I ordered last time RIGHT before I moved last year in July… So I moved back and went to try to order some of my last order… only to find they JUMPED the prices on the fried rice, orange chicken AND General Tao’s chicken… made me wanna cry… I didn’t put in my order because it would have cost too much so we went to Panda Express instead :(

The best fried rice around.

I really didnt enjoy this place. I had the mongolian beef .it was terrible. It was sweet and the meat was dry. I wont be coming here again. Atleast the service was decent.

This place sucks! When it first opened, it gave you HUGE servings if food, but that was to reel customers in. The seasoning is terrible and the have really cut down on the condiments on takeout orders. YUCK! –7 STARS!!! P. S. I HAD TO GIVE IT ONE STAR TO POST HIS REVIEW!

We had our dinner from here tonight. On our menu was: orange chicken (THEE BEST-​EST), chicken fried rice (it was so, so, so), chinese dougnuts (YUCKIE8P), egg rolls (too greasy, so couldn’t finish’em), chinese chicken noodle soup (VERY different, but edible and it had chicken, lomein noodles and green onions with a light brown broth), and a bannana/​coconut smoothie (YUUUUUCKIE). Yes, we will be back to try other dishes. For those of you who like small pieces of orange chicken; this is the place for you !

They deliver! Enough said. Finding a place that delivers in the South Suburban area is like hitting the lottery! Whoo Hooo!
The food is pretty darn good (standard chinese carryout menu) and the delivery is super fast. Seriously, I hang up and walk down the stairs and there they are. Try the sweet doughnuts and the chicken fried rice…
