Place looks cute. Soup and appetizers were very tasty. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was missing flavor and cheesyness. The bread was good and served with a flavored oil. They seemed to be in a hurry as soup and app came out too close together and then the meal right after that. As soon as Brian was done they took his plate and when I pushed my bowl away she asked if there was anything else. I don’t like being rushed. I guess next time if there is one I should try the pizza and maybe that won’t suck.

Had the sampler the lasagna frittata, Tuscan wings and pomadora meatballs were good, the sausage soup was good … Had the jambalaya fettuccine … Lacked big time flavoring … I’m thinking jambalaya I’m thinking a lot of flavoring bu missing a lot … I had to add, salt, pepper and pepper flakes to Make it more enjoyable … The waitress/servic was very good and courteous … Only problem had with it was it seemed not even done with soup and they at ringing apps and then maybe not even a minute after finishing papas the dinner/lunch came … Just no real break in between the foods… Only have 3 stars cause service and the soup and apps otherwise it would be lower rating

I’m giving this place a five star because the staff and managers are great. The food is also good and for me they have a gluten free menu. My fav is the sausage soup and the eggplant parm dinner. I’m also a big fan of the salmon. My family loves the pizza here and without saying the soft warm rolls. Love the salads too! Fantastic dirty martinis! Always a good experience with eat in and pick up.

Giving this place a 1 is a stretch. We walked in and were immediately taken back by the smell. Thankfully we were put in a back room where it wasn’t as strong. It was warm in there. In fact, we sat under the a/c control and saw that it was 83 degrees in the room. It would have been better to eat out in the 85 degree weather because there was at least a breeze outside. The walls were chipped so that the sheet rock was exposed. There were fruit flies all over the table and the wall. I ordered a glass of white sangria. The waitress brought me what I would have to say was orange juice with a splash of white wine. My husband had a blue moon… it was warm. Then the food came. I had a cob salad, and he had a pasta dish. My salad was okay(minus whatever it was they were trying to pass off as tomatoes), but his dish looked like it would have if you went into a Chinese Restaurant and asked for Italian food. Dessert was good, but then the waitress brought the check and said«no rush». She was back within 2 minutes looking for money. Hahahaha. There was no one waiting so no idea why we were being rushed out, not that we minded. So, here’s my tip… keep going south and go to Carrabbas. Kicking ourselves for not just doing that.

Grill wings are very tasty, but fruit flies in the dining area. Landing on the foods and bread.

Give the rigatoni abruzzi a whirl. Never disappoints. Great spot to grab a few beers and one of their sig pasta dishes/watch some baseball at the bar after a long day at work.

Where do I begin? Let’s see — my wife ordered rigatoni with chicken and broccoli and when it arrived(after a long wait — when the place was empty) it looked as if my 12 year old prepared it. Rather than eating the bland pile of mostly undercooked pasta with some chicken thrown in, she returned it and opted to share my over cooked chicken piccata. My dish was both over cooked and swimming in a butter sauce. While the server was very nice and apologetic, we decided to gracefully pay the bill and exit — never to return again. Next time we want Italian we’ll go to the always reliable Villa Restaurant in Kohls plaza(right down the street).

I do not understand the bad reviews this place gets! I come here often and never have any issues. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. My child has severe allergies and I trust them to always help with her needs. The food is always great and management couldn’t be any nicer. They treat us like we are a part of the family, and that’s what definitely keeps us always coming back. All you haters need to give this place another try.

The last time I came here was ridiculous and it will be my last visit ever. We may have been seated right away but we had to wait about 20 minutes to have our order taken. My mom ordered steak, they didn’t have steak so she ordered spaghetti which came before the appetizer and our drinks? Yeah. That sounds weird. My fiancé’s food and my food never arrived. We received bread more than half an hour later. Waitress was not attentive. I went to someone about our lack of service, the manager told me I could just go and to not worry but to at least wait for the food… We did. We tipped the Waitress anyway, I felt bad. I don’t know why. When we got home, we decided to eat our food. It was seriously inedible. My pasta was soggy, no sauce. My fiances pasta was undercooked with no sauce. I haven’t gone back since and I don’t think I’ll go back. And no, the place was not crowded.

Over the years this place has gone down the drain. Service is horrible. Place is dirty. Nobody cares about the horrible reviews! This is a problem of poor management. Its a shame. Bring MACARONIGRILLBACK in Holmdel/Hazlet area.

I don’t believe this place deserves two stars. The pizza is actually quite tasty. Everything else is acceptable and hit or miss. The staff varies, the atmosphere is fine. Only negatives I can speak to: the menu is constantly changing and they claim they«don’t have» garlic powder(meaning they won’t give it to you — I’ve asked each time I’ve visited).

I had a chopped salad entrée with salmon added. It was a serious disappointment. The salmon was a flat rectangle of fish, not very appetizing. Chopped was a good description of the salad greens. The salad had no sense of unity, just a lot of small pieces that wouldn’t cooperate with my fork. The salad was amazingly salty. The dinner rolls were warm but smaller than usual. All in all the ingredients in my meal seemed low end and unappetizing. The staff was pleasant but no manager dropped by to see how we were doing. I blame the chain and local management for the poor showing.

As chains go, especially Italian themed ones, this is decent. The menu is your typical Italian fare and the ambiance is somewhat mellow with a hint of class while still giving you the feeling of a relaxed dinner. The location is good and easy to get to and the service is fairly decent. However, the food is average. The pizza’s are decent(although over-priced) and in an area where great pizza is abundant, I’d recommend going elsewhere if that’s what you want. We also had an entrée salad to split and were highly disappointed. At $ 13 for a chopped chicken salad(that didn’t even come chopped) we know never to order that again. Overall it’s ok, but not the most amazing dining experience you’ll have.

This place came as a huge surprise to me. Everyone has been giving it terrible reviews, but honestly I don’t see why, I started coming here last year, and ever since the first time I’ve been hooked! The service is incredible, coming here on a Friday or Saturday it can get pretty hectic, but the employees and staff always keep their cool and the servers are very apologetic if the food doesn’t come out as quickly as you want it. That rarely happens thought, usually your food arrives on time! I highly recommend this place, it’s one of my favorite places to go! If it is your first time and you aren’t getting pizza I recommend the chicken piccata, my favorite dish, it’s outstanding!

This is one of the more laughable dining experiences I’ve had. I didn’t come here with high expectations based on the other reviews, but this place is definitely a solid 2-star establishment. I give it 1.5 stars based ONLYONTHEPIZZA. Everything else blows. First of all, the management here sucks. Service is all over the place and there isn’t even a hostess. During my time here, I noticed waiters running over to greet guests at the door. Our waitress was noticeably bad and didn’t bother to check up on us or refill waters, and had to be reminded to refill our bread basket twice. Also, she didn’t even charge our credit card for the right check based on the itemized receipt we were given — but we were already too ticked off to complain. Considering the place was almost empty when we were there, we didn’t think it was so hard to match tables to checks — guess it is. Secondly, the food here is approximately equivalent to a freezer meal. Bertucci’s one saving grace is the pizza, which can be customized and is actually pretty damn good. My pasta dish, on the other hand, was some undercooked pieces of pasta + literally 4 strips of rubbery grilled chicken + 7 broccoli florets. And all of this was sitting in a pool of water disguised to look like«white wine sauce». I don’t think I will ever be hungry enough to come back here. I’d rather subject myself to my alma mater’s dining food.

Can’t believe all the negative reviews, we’ve never had a bad experience here. I had the Chicken parm with the salad She had the chicken piccata with the salad Both were generous portions and both were very good. And the rolls are as good ad ever, but they’re making them smaller now. I would recommend this place anytime.

Three words: this place blows. Came here as everyone does when forced to hurriedly eat before a flick. Slow service, our food arrived before our drinks. My pizza had a long white hair in it. They remade it for me but … c’mon I was already grossed out now I have to eat the whole pizza over? Blah to Bertiucci’s.

What the heck went wrong in the past few years with you Bertucci’s? Only rude kids work here now? The pizza is still good but it was absolutely dead in here on a Wednesday night recently and if it wasn’t for the friendly girl bartender I would have bounced when I was ditched at the hostess stand. When I say it was dead in there it was ridiculously dead. It was me at the bar and maybe one or two tables of two people so it wasn’t like the cooks in the kitchen were swamped and yet they still forgot the feta cheese in my spinach and feta salad? The bathroom was absolutely filthy too. This location has gone extremely downhill.
