I have ordered from there 3 times, 1st time was a whole pizza. It wasn’t terrible but not very good for a Jersey pizza parlor. 2nd time I ordered a special they were offering; an Italian Hot Dog. It was gross. Barely edible. It is not like the Italian hot dog you would think you’d get. It had chopped up hot dogs in some sauce. Blah ! 3rd time I ordered a Meatball Parm. That is a staple of pizza places and hard to imagine anyone messing that up but it was also disgusting. The meatballs were weird and old and the bread was super stale. For me to throw a meatball parm away, it must be bad. I am done. They are cheap in price but the food is just too low in quality.

Went here for the the first time today with my son and we will definitely be repeat customers! Not only was the pizza delicious(and I don’t normally like pizza) but the back room is amazing for kids! I’ve never been to a restaurant other than a chuckee cheese or McDonald’s that I could actually sit down and eat while my kids ate and played. The back room here has toys for the kids to play with, a TV for them to watch, coloring book and crayons, and even their own little tables to sit at! It is the cutest and an absolute life saver for a family that wants to go out to eat with small kids. Can’t wait to go back with the whole family.

Awful awful pizza. Not enough sauce, too doughy, under cooked. And weirdly, it smelled like dirty rag. I will NEVER order from here again.

Not impressed with the pizza. Thick thick thick… way too much crust. Chewy! If they could fix this they would be ok. Sauce– ok, meatballs-ok. Buffalo Chicken wings –ok but no blue cheese given with buffalo chicken wing order? Really??? Calzone was thick, filled with ricotta and cheese but lacked a little something. Even with the coupon I used, I don’t think I’d order again. I opted away from the dinners because they were way too high priced for the area.

I really really want to be kind just bc of the owner alone but this pizza is pretty terrible. The dough is the problem here all around — they’re def missing an ingredient in the dough that makes it light, fluffy and chewy — this dough is dense and heavy and undercooked. Again, if we were rating the friendliness of the owner and wanting to support a local business I would give 5 stars all day but Unilocal is meant to rate the quality of a particular business and this pizza is awful — the sauce has a very strange Mexican spice and again the dough — horrid.

Can’t get better than Hazlet Pizza. Family owned place with Italian husband and wife cooks/Pizza chef. I really love their nightly family specials, the prices can’t be beat! They have such a great selection and all orders To go, made fresh and quick. The pizza crust is good and not too thick, thinner than most fast food type places. Sauce is made from scratch! the way I like it, tomato sweet and just the right mix of seasonings. Amount of toppings is good to generous. Local cozy place(next to Toys R’ Us) you can come in and expect to get treated like family. Also got to meet and talk to the owner Max. The delivery guys and the cooks are very friendly. Front counter area has many verities of slices to choice from. Two fridges full of choices for drinks or can get fountain sodas. The seating area in the back is family friendly, has TV, two high tops and many booths. They will come serve you after you order if you choose to sit in the back.

Less than quality here. Pizza was pretty bland and too much crust. Ordered an eggplant parm sub got a chicken parm sub — decided to not complain but should have because the chicken was dry as heck like it was fried two days ago. Garlic bread was HORRIBLE totally uneatable — saturated in oil and clumps of totally raw garlic, cheese hardly melted. Let’s sum this up as a waste of $ 30.

Absolutely the worst pizza I have ever tasted. Whoever was cooking at this resturant does not have a clue. The dough was way to thick and undercooked, the slices were cut like they used a pair of children’s scissors the pizza had to much cheese that was never melted properly during the cooking process and dripping with oil and grease. The bread that was sent was microwaved, why in Gods green earth would you microwave bread when you have a pizza oven??? Worst experience I have had in a long time in this town

My husband and I ordered for delivery tonight. We ordered a large half sausage half pepperoni pizza and an order of wings. The woman who answered the phone was very polite and efficient. We were told delivery would take 45 minutes it arrived within a half hour which was great. The downside came when we opened the box and we’re faced with an oblong pie that was soaked in grease and tons of cheese. The pizza was rather bland and incredibly difficult to eat with all the cheese and grease dripping off. I was not a fan of the crust either, it tasted like a generic pizza crust that you would find in a lower quality store brought frozen pizza. The wings weren’t bad, they weren’t great. Typical frozen fried wings they arrived a little rubbery from being enclosed in the container. The hot sauce the provided on the side definitely was the savior in this case. Overall, friendly customer service, fast delivery, and decent hot sauce. I would order again if I was hungry and drunk and wanted it delivered quick.

I wouldn’t normally write a review on pizza just because it’s just another pie(no offense), but my boyfriend and I ordered a large mushroom pie last night and we devoured it in less than fifteen minutes. And we’re tiny. The sauce was what made it, honestly. Not overpowering, with a hint of sweetness. Also, most places won’t do much to the mushrooms themselves(the place we normally order from uses canned… Never again), but these were definitely fresh, and it was just so good. The crust was even fluffy! For thirteen dollars you can’t go wrong. My mom and I got two plain slices to go last week and even that was worth reminiscing about. None of that nasty, dripping pizza grease; only beautiful, stringy cheese mixed with that SAUCE! No doubt will this be our go-to pizza from now on.

Went in last night for the $ 6.99 pizza deal. They told me 15 minutes so I went to toys r us. I came back and they said they made me a 18 inch pizza instead of a 16 inch by accident. I thought that something was fishy. I got there about an hour before they close and I think they took a pie that had been sitting around for slices and just reheated that and gave it to me. The pie was not a fresh made pie. Might have saved them a couple minutes and maybe $ 2 worth of food, but i will never go back!

Now known as Hazlet My Pizza, this place is home to some of the most unique and tasty slices around– try the bacon ranch chicken pizza, it is awesome! Slices are huge, as are the salads and subs, and with such great prices, sometimes I wonder how they stay in business. Best bang for your buck around.

The one time I went to get a quick slice was probably a fluke as the store was busy filling take out orders for the dinner crowd so my measly one slice was regulated to the pie that had been sitting out all afternoon. It’s understandable that I could have seen this coming as it was dinner, but if all the other nearby options can deliver me a slice during dinner, then damn it I shouldn’t have to expect otherwise. A horrible slice of pizza is hard to come by since all the local pizzerias have pretty comparable quality. The crust and dough was hard, crunchy and dry. the cheese lacked any sort of elasticity and was browned to burnt. the sauce was almost none existent as it probably dried out over several hours. Stick with ordering a whole pie so you’ll be getting a fresh pie. Hopefully.
