The beds were comfortable and clean, but our room stunk like mildew and felt very damp. Add half a star for the breakfast selection.

Huntersville, NC
This humble lodge earned a bookmark for our south-​north journeys. It is an older structure than I am used to seeing under this corporate flag, and the design therefore suggests a higher level of service and accommodation than I was expecting. Carpets, walls, etc., showed their age, but the place was clean and nicely appointed. The rooms were surprisingly large and well furnished, and had high-​def tv.
The biggest plus for me was the full-​service restaurant and lounge. The service was excellent and the food and drinks hit the spot — all much better than we have come to expect on the road.

Buzzards Bay, MA
Nice spot to rest after a weary drive. Clean, up to date and comfortable. Reasonable rates and free hot bfast is included (buffet style). Right across from Penn State’s campus and near freeway for easy on/​off. Also near all the shopping stuff if you need anything (AssMart, groceries etc…). Has a restaurant and bar also, only had the bfast so don’t know the reg fare.
