Friendly faces when I walked in. And great daily specials. Today was New York steak. I ordered the combination steak and eggs and was very satisfied.

Nice vibe in this old school diner. Had both dinner and breakfast here. The food was fine. Nothing to write home about but not bad either. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend it if you are looking for a low key place to eat in Healdsburg or staying at the Best Western.

Nice people! Open late! Decent food(baked potato and salad). Creamer dish for the coffee was actually chilled — it’s been years since that was the case. Loved the fact they hung up my kid’s drawing on the wall, too. Sweet!

This is for their take-out, so you can probably disregard if you’re going to eat at the diner. The staff was super friendly and that’s what is saving this from a 1. The take out food was awful. Maybe it’s the fact that they took foot hot off the grill and put it in styrofoam but there are definitely ways to prevent a grilled cheese sandwich(we ordered this because it seemed impossible to mess up, we were wrong) and Fried Chicken from being so wet and soggy they were inedible. All and all– I’d say check out Adel’s if you want good diner food in a diner, but if you’re staying in the Best Western next door and want a comfort meal to recover from a day of wineries– order pizza from down the street and stay away from Adel’s. Great staff though!

Stumbled across this run-down gem late, on a Sunday night. Majority of downtown Healdsburg’s eateries were closed. From the outside it looks dated and very rough, inside wasn’t so bad. The lighting was strange though, like neon and the booths were white leather(think casting couch) lol. Service was a little off in the beginning, but as I began talking to the server more, and trying to get her to open up, there was much improvement. Food was just okay, I like Adel’s in Santa Rosa much better and can’t recommend eating here. Sorry.

OK folks, this is a diner. You should know this going in. You’re not going to get a meat and cheese plate here, although the staff would probably run out and get you one if you asked. We went here for breakfast before our wine tour and we were über impressed. By the service. The food was OK, but again, it’s a diner. For breakfast the wife had chicken fajitas and I had the roast beef dip. For breakfast. See what I mean about service?

What a terrible experience. After I had eaten almost all of my food I noticed a dead small mosquito in between my fries. I was disgusted to say the least. The food is incredibly bland, it has no flavor and I was incredibly disappointed with the food and unprofessional staff carrying on inappropriate conversations near by.

I had the cheddar Benedict add avacado with a glass of milk. The total came to $ 19 with a $ 6/tip = $ 25 total. So I’d say one of the more expensive breakfasts I’ve had. It was bland at best, but I was hungry. I live in town and probably should have known better, but had to remind myself. Service was good.

Nice place. Very hometown. Three of us ate dinner. We ordered the Fried Chicken dinner, Buffalo Chicken Salad and the Lasagna. Of the three meals the Lasagna was the best by far. The creamy mushroom and veggie soup was rockstar. Service was ok. We got our meal quickly. The reason for three stars is that there was nothing special. It was average. The fried chicken was a bit overdone. The mashed potatoes were not edible. Other than that is was an average meal. We were shocked at the prices tho. I never expected the $ 70 based on what we ordered. I would have thought twice about coming. I hear it is great for breakfast…

Yummy food, good service. I love Eggs Benedict and they do an amazing job on theirs, and I can get it at anytime of the day. Most restaurants only have it for breakfast, or only on Sundays, so it is nice to be able to get it almost anytime. Always delicious.

Ack! This diner is a little cringeworthy. Their décor is cute and it looks like it’d be pretty much your standard Denny’s/ihop quality food, but they just didn’t quite deliver. First thing that was kinda weird, is that all of their items are pretty much the same price. They have like an omelette with spinach and cheese only, and that is the same price as the Mexican omelette with ground beef, salsa, onions, tomatoes, sour cream, guac, etc etc. Okay? Next, one of my friends ordered the veggie omelette and added«diced ham,» however diced ham meant a roll of lunch meat in the center of the omelette. Another friend ordered something containing«chicken sausage» which appeared to just be a chopped up chicken hot dog. The spinach and cheese omelette had a gross block of frozen spinach cooked up in the center. I ordered the veggie omelette and was actually okay with my order. Thank god I didn’t try to get any meat. Upsides, their portions are huge(although don’t know if you want that much of this food), service was fine, and location is convenient if you’re staying at the travelodge or best western. Prob would opt to drive into town though.

You’d think it would be hard to hate a diner. Who doesn’t love diners? I’d give it zero stars if I could. The coffee is horrendous. Not just cheap restaurant bad, but like Motel 6 instant bad. I ordered eggs Benedict that was prepared with sliced lunch meat ham and the world’s grossest hollandaise. It was inedible so I sent it back and asked for a waffle instead. Of course they charged me for both breakfasts. So I paid $ 30 for some hash browns and a waffle. If you’re staying at the Dry Creek Inn, do yourself the service of going to Costeaux. If it’s a diner you want, Skillets is Windsor is excellent. Avoid Adele’s at all cost.

A very nice dinner near a hotel where we stopped. The service was prompt and polite. We ordered blue cheese steak with steamed vegetables and mashed potato. In 15 minutes everything was ready. Everything tasted good and the steak was cooked just right amount of time.

Parting is such sweet sorrow, but my 8 month work detail to the lovely city of Healdsburg ends this week. So, I must bid adieu to you and you and you, all of you wonderful people who have taken such good care of me when I dined with you. I loved how you seated me right away. I loved that you put up with my dietary restrictions. I loved the service, loved the food, and I will so miss you. Thank you for being my weekly go to place to get out of the office. I will miss you, until we meet again!

Decent food but our waitress Tami was fabulous. She dealt with our group with kids like a pro. Eggs Benedict didn’t have Canadian Bacon but everything else was good. Recommend for solid American food and good service.

A solid Denny’s replacement location, clean small town America feel in the heart of wine country. It sits just adjacent to a Best Western, which even though it had a breakfast of it’s own, skipping the large guest population to a sit down and pay for a really good breakfast. The servers are all great, friendly locals and the patrons also are a mix of regulars and visitors from any number of weddings that go on weekly. Great portions and a great variety. I’d eat here over Dennys :) Enjoy.

First off, the parking lot is shared with a motel, so it’s difficult to find a parking spot in the early morning before many have left. I guess you can park at the very back of the motel, but you’re walking the entire distance back to the front where Adel’s is. Apparently, the Adel’s in Healdsburg is not related to the Adel’s in Santa Rosa. Different owners in the same family. Adel’s is what I consider your typical diner, there’s a counter if you wish to sit there, tables, and chairs. I was here for a group meeting so we sat in the segregated area with a few tables and a few booths. Service was receptive to our needs, but a bit slow(my water ran out a few times). The food is average, nothing jumps out at you in terms of the menu items. I tried the chicken fried steak and it was good and tasty. The portions are huge! I’ll probably come back at some point. They’re open pretty late on weekdays and even later on weekends.

WTF? Only 2.5 Stars average on Unilocal??? I’ve been eating at Adel’s since 1996, during my days at Santa Rosa Junior College, and been coming back since. Last time was August 2008, so I thought maybe things have changed for the worst… NOPE! Still great service, retro-ish interior, and good food. The Irish Skillet, see the photo I uploaded: real slabs of meaty Corned Beef, 3 poached eggs, on top of potatoes, with wheat toast… a fantastic breakfast for only $ 8.99! It setup the day perfectly for some serious all day wine drinking. Maybe this review is biased since it was a slow President’s Day Monday morning and I’ve been eating here for 17+ years now, albeit only breakfast; but fellow Unilocal Elite wife Erica P. liked it too, and she has much higher standards than me. :)
