Iced coffees were truly tasty with a nice zip. Breakfast was good too. Lots of food/drink options, great atmosphere, good service. I’ll go again when in the area.

Good food, amazing smoothies, relaxing atmosphere, and free wifi. What more could you ask for in a little coffee shop? Definitely plan to come back next time we’re in the area!

Coffee was fairly good and fairly priced. The teenagers behind the counter were friendly enough. Was sad that all the pastries seemed day-old, though we were there in the afternoon. If you are looking for adorable, this is NOT it(think cafeteria), but if you just need a coffee, its a nice place.

I have been going here for several years and always look forward to it. No more, the staff is unprofessional and I could hear them making smart ass comments about me and my group. Just can’t support this kind of behavior. Get some staff that does not act like they are still in middle school!

Great place to stop for some good quality coffee. They also have a lot of breakfast options and plenty of seating!

I highly recommend this place!!! I’m visiting humboldt state from the San Fernando valley and I just happened to see this place on Unilocal… Tried it, loved it! Delicious sample breads! Especially their apple cinnamon, zucchini and pumpkin bread! Yum! Couldn’t get enough! I got a wheat bagel sandwich w egg whites & coffee! Simple. My friend got their crepes with eggs & spinach, I quote him«it was freaking delicious» ! The customer service is fantastic, very very kind people! Definitely will be coming back once I move Up here! :)

The coffee here is good. If that’s all you want, you’re safe. The atmosphere is nicer than the strip mall suggests. However, the food is hideous and the staff is mediocre at best. This is one of those places I forget to be awful and am always disappointed by, so joke’s on me. It took 20 minutes to get our food order. Today my black bean bowl had a few beans but mostly it was an entire diced, raw onion in a bowl. My friend’s English muffin was raw and the eggs were runny. Super gross. When she took the muffin back, the girl apologized and said she would cook it more next time. Gee thanks. Too bad that my neighborhood coffee shop sucks. Fortunately, there are other options nearby. Save yourself a bad meal and a long wait and avoid this joint.

Really good coffee. They actually know how to make a dry cappuccino! Not sure how the food is, but coffee is hard to beat in the area!

I think I’m just going to keep reviewing this place until the world realizes that the bean affair has the best decaf soy latte in the world. This place is got to be one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to, please see my previous reviews as far as what a great place it is to do work in the little open air area that they’ve reserved. The bathrooms are always spotless, the selection of foods and pastries they have our top notch, and there’s even seats outside as well as close to where you actually pick up your coffee so you really have a great selection of places to hang out and to meet people and to just have fun. Also there’s tons of parking outside!

My wife and I have stopped here twice on the recommendation of our daughter. On our first stop my wife had a breakfast sandwich, in fact she had a breakfast sandwich on our second stop. She says they’re the best she’s ever had. I’ve had the crêpe and the veggie panini sandwich, I thought they were both really delicious. The only sour note: the young lady that took our order on our second visit, Gillian, was so envolved in a conversation with her co-worker that I had to start my order three times because she kept turning away from me to continue her conversation. That on top of being kept waiting at the counter without being acknowledged, they were not very busy, keeps me from scoring Bean Affair 5 stars.

Place I was headed didn’t open til 7 am and it was 6:30 so I gave this a shot. Decent coffee(or I should say lattes) but I also got a breakfast sandwich(so bad that I tossed it) and a blueberry muffin that was tasty but really dry. Next time, I’ll try another spot.

No complaints at all about this place! My boyfriend and I stayed in Healdsburg over night and the next morning I was concerned about finding a place that served some sort of vegan fare for me. Found this place on Unilocal and looked at the menu, and thought it sounded promising. Was only a block or so from the hotel, but took the car since we’d be hitting the road afterwards anyways. Parking was easy. Walked in and there were a lot of people enjoying food and caffeinated beverages, and a really nice cashier. She referred to me as beautiful which was sweet since I had not had any caffeine yet and probably looked like a monster that just crawled out of hell(only half joking). I ordered a veggie sandwich, with«no dairy whatsoever.» So the cheese and mayo were left off, but I left all the veggies on. Oh man it was good, especially on wheat bread. Spicy and avocado-y. I got a side of fruit, I ate the strawberries and my boyfriend ate the bananas. He ordered a breakfast sandwich, with sausage, eggs, and cheese and seemed to enjoy it on his plain bagel. He also got a cup of earl grey, while I got lemon essence. Everything was great!

I enjoyed a tea here during a poetry reading held at the café. I like that this venue serves as a place for readings, for friends to get together, and also sells some good books. Worth visiting if you happen to be in town!

The Bean Affair came highly recommended by the Chamber of Commerce. If you want to go to a coffee house where all the locals hang out, you will want to check this place out. If you want really good coffee, you will want to come to this place. If you want plenty of room to sit inside or outside, you will want to come here. If you want to purchase a book by a local artist, you will want to come here. If you want a bakery item full of calories or a crêpe made to order, you will want to come here. So come already! The coffee is worth the visit. I got a hint of chocolate from the bean. Yum.

This is a great study spot. It is also a half way decent date spot, a great chat spot, hide from the rain spot, as well as a cool grab a coffee and simply hang out spot! I’ve been coming here to study for the MCAT, and never once have had even the slightest trouble having a table to myself. Its almost never loud, never full, and never an inconvenience! Truly a student’s dream study spot. The layout is very nice: 2 main rooms, one with your cashier and coffees, connected to another large room with tables of various shapes and sizes. There are bathrooms as well, always kept very clean. On a nice day you can also sit outside, as there are plenty of chairs and tables and umbrellas. The food selection here is definitely a plus: they sell delicious crepes! Back in high school sometimes my friends and I would race here during lunch break and enjoy some delicious pesto chicken crepes. Worth a try ;) The only downside here is the coffee selection. I’ll admit i’m used to the superstar coffee roasters of southern California, however here a cup of coffee can only filled with regular decaf, organic french roast, or another coffee. Sometimes the selections change, but here you really are limited to every day regulars.(Don’t get me wrong — its still a good cup of coffee! Dont expect your jaw to drop though.) Come here for quality time with company, or to get some work done. Definitely a great spot on the outskirts of downtown Healdsburg!

This review is from May 9, 2013: Driving up highway 101 through Healdsburg I ask my fellow Unilocalers for a tip on a coffee house. The Bean Affair came up as the highest rated coffee house. Cool, hip place. Free Wi-Fi. FRESHMADECREPES made the right way. SWEET!!! I had the freshly mad crêpe stuffed with scrambled eggs and salsa with a crème fresh drizzle. THEBOMB!!! Total treat. Oh, I did enjoy a nice dark roast cup of coffee. If you’re ever driving up the 101 near Healdsburg, mark the Bean Affair as a pit stop. You’ll enjoy it. Check out the pics. Just a couple of minutes east off of the freeway.

Stopped off before car shopping. We got a Iced chai latte($ 3.00), organic French roast coffee($ 2.45), breakfast sandwich($ 5.75), & breakfast wrap($ 6.25). Drinks were good! Breakfast wrap was HUGE and delicious! Breakfast sandwich was really tasty BUT very small and should have come with something else as a side for the price! Overall we would come back!
