Wines were decent here. I tried a barrel tasting futures and found them to be decent. They only had three Pinots(I love my Pinots and we were here for barrel tasting) to choose from. One of them was particularly tasty, I believe it was the Winsel reserve. The 2011 that they already had bottled and was serving at the bar was not so great. Hence my overall review of three stars

I discovered Camellia Cellars a few years back when my work rented the Inn for an office retreat. Bruce and his father did a tasting at the inn that evening and were knowledgeable and charming. The next day a group of us drove over to the tasting room and I discovered the Sangiovese and Diamo Grazie. I’ve returned several times over the intervening years, usually showing up in time to taste the First Kiss when it’s brand new. Just opened a bottle of 2004 Sangiovese that’s been sitting in my personal cellar for a few years. It is smooth and full-bodied. The color is a deep garnet, clear and sparkling in my glass. Went to a silent auction at a Santa Rosa church last weekend and was fortunate to be the winning bidder on a magnum of 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a 2006 Zinfandel. I look forward to sharing them with friends, if they are lucky.

The Wall Street Journal finally exposed this fantastic winery. «In Healdsburg, there is a real gem. It’s called Old Roma Station» with 15 wineries… This is a fine opportunity to taste wines… and unusual insight into the very different styles that vintners bring to their wines.” Their Petite Syrah is drinking deliciously right now. Just picked up a case. Love the convenient parking lot or walking, it’s just ½ a mile from the square. Also love that they’re dog and kid friendly with the convenient patio tables outside where they can hang out and enjoy.

Camellia Cellars presents an excellent assortment of reds. The 2005 Sangiovese is a very well balanced, medium weight wine with a hint of cherry and blackberry. It is a terrific value right now at $ 18 a bottle. The folks at the tasting room, as others have said, are knowledgeable and congenial, AND no tasting charge!

I have to tell you there is no ambience here, but the older gentleman who ran/owned the place charmed the bejesus out of us and I would definitely go back. The wine was affordable and tasted good too! A little off the square in Healdsburg but worth the walk!

I have been drinking Bruce’s wine for about 10 years now and am always surprised by at least a few of them. He is a nice guy with a good attitude and lots of skill. The tasting room is just right and comfortable and it has a dog, Archie, which is a must for a Sonoma County winery in my opinion. Chris is in the room more often than Bruce and often you get both so there is always some fun to be had and wine to be enjoyed. They have mainly reds, but now there is one white called Kiss and it is a wonderful little blend of different grapes that I will not tell you about since you might get lucky and get to play the name the varietal game with Bruce and if you guess, he might even give you a prize! Everything they produce is nice and some are excellent. The Sangiovese is often one of the best examples of the grape from our area and his Cabs are nothing to sneeze at. Do yourself a favor and stop by some time, they have friendly neighbors who also make wine and have tasting rooms there as well, about five of them.
