Ah, the Trib. It’s what the locals pay 50 cents for… and what the locals are likely to find themselves in. If you are a student who has achieved an award or accomplishment, chances are it’ll end up in the paper. If a cat gets saved from a tree, it might end up there too. The writers are all local and somewhat well known, and one of my college journalism friends was an intern there for the sports during the summer. I was always bitter that I didn’t end up in the paper as a student of the month when I was in high school… there were only so many students in my class! Haha.

It’s a great community newspaper that includes lots of local opinion. The editors do a wonderful job of highlighting issues that are important to the community and keeping everyone updated on upcoming events.
