I have been going to Donya for years. She has colored, until she phased me to gray, cut and shampooed me beautifully at all times. They are all skilled and friendly, and always make one feel at home and comfortable. I can always get in, and always get wonderful service. Donya is a skilled colorist, which I admire even though I don’t need that anymore. Her transition from color to gray was masterful. MMJ

Now that Carmielle is a stylist here, I won’t go anywhere else. She’s awesome and you’ll love your hair when she’s done. 6 star review~!

Carmielle has been my hair stylist for the last six years, I will follow her anywhere. She always helps to give me her knowledge and experience when I make changes. Under her experience hands I have had high lights, low lights, gone too dark by choice and when I didn’t care for it a couple of days later she fixed my mistake. I’ve gone amazingly red which has been my favorite, but it’s hard to stay red. I’m back to brown with red and blonde high lights which I love and look so natural. She also is the only person who has ever truly trimmed my hair, I have long hair and before Carmielle I would always loose 3 inches when I requested a trim, Carmielle has NEVER done that to me. I always leave my appointment feeling beautiful. I highly recommend Carmielle for your next hair appointment.

The owner, Donya, is helpful, attentive and extremely personable. Manicurist Te is fast, efficient, and a real joy to talk with as she expertly works on your nails. The shop itself is neat and clean, which inspires confidence. All in all a very down-to-earth, customer-centered, almost old-fashioned(in terms of service and style) salon.

Walked in for a haircut. Was not happy with the cut. Didn’t get what I requested. Left unhappy and never returned.

ATTENTIONWINECOUNTRYBRIDES: do not think that just because you are getting married in a coveted venue that you have to pay ridiculous fees for ALL your vendors. I somehow stumbled upon hair stylist Katie Land, which spared both my budget and my sanity a great deal during my wedding last June. She did my four bridesmaids as well as myself for a shockingly reasonable fee, and even made the trip out to the venue to work on-site at no extra cost(granted, it wasn’t too far away from her headquarters, but I really appreciated her not taking advantage of the fact that it was wedding-related, where most vendors will try to rape your wallet whenever possible). I should also add that she is VERY, VERYGOOD. I didn’t just want your normal upsweep bride do. I wanted a complex 40s hairstyle, and wasn’t even sure how exactly I wanted it. Throw in a two-piece fascinator and birdcage veil, and things were getting VERY complicated and tricky. I was horribly indecisive, but Katie worked patiently(including numerous trial runs) to get it perfect. She also expertly applied hair extensions amidst the fascinator hairpieces and all that mess so that they were somehow invisible and not prone to falling out(god forbid) during our first dance. Oh, and perhaps the best part is that she has a terrific disposition and an addictive laugh. Love her :) I highly recommend Katie Land of Shear Pizazz to any bride in wine country.
