Best breakfast in Healdsburg for sure. The potatoes are amazing too. Down home good eats. Won’t break the bank either. Good spot to avoid all the aristocrats and plastic tourists in town

Worst service ever! After waiting 40 mins for a breakfast of two the waitress gave our breakfast to the wrong table. She said it would be another 15 – 20 mins until they could have ours ready! Not a great way to spend the very short visit we had in healdsberg. Only giving 1 star because coffees were on the house because we decided to leave. Coffee was not even worth a dollar, very weak.

So today me and two friends went to this café. I ordered a breakfast burrito with avocado and a coffee. My friends ordered the eggs Benedict with avocado instead of ham and one of them ordered a side of mushrooms. The waitress never asked to split the check. When we were done with the meal we asked for a split check so that the burrito and coffee was separate and everything else together. The waitress immediately gave us grief saying she would, «see what she could do.» When we got our check I noticed I was over charged almost 4 dollars. When I went to ask for the menus so we could figure out the confusion we were immediately met with rudeness and hostility. A woman I presume was the manager asked if I had problem. I told her I was charged $ 21 for a burrito and I wanted to check the prices on the menu. She then snapped at me, «You didn’t just get a burrito, you got coffee and added avocado and a side of mushroom.» I didn’t get a side of mushrooms and explained that should have been on my friends tab. She then took the check told me and said she would fix it. When the manager(maybe) came back with the correct tab she was incredibly rude to me and my friends saying it was our fault because we didn’t ask to have the tab split at the beginning. My friend told her usually it is the waitress’s job to asked. It wasn’t until I pulled out Unilocal on my phone that the manager mumbled(it’s not a big deal) and walked away. The waitress came over then and made a very uncomfortable apology for not asking us if we wanted the tab split. It was an incredibly negative and sketchy experience. I wasn’t surprised to hear that my dad had the same experience when I had told him what had happened. I will never come here again and will tell anyone and everyone about this horrific experience.

Enjoyed a very good breakfast with the family today. Chicken fried steak was really good. The staff was very nice. All the meals ordered by the other members of the group looked really good as well. Would recommend the singletree.

I used to go here quote a bit though since I moved to Santa Rosa I have not been in a while. I took the family there for Breakfast and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The Service was Nice and Friendly and the Coffee and water was a plenty. Food was just OK. My Main issue was that they allowed another patron to bring in their dog, some mini-fluff ball, my Cat is bigger than it. A Girl was carrying it in her arms wrapped in a little blanket. There was no attempt to hide the dog. One of the Waitresses came up to take their drink order and commend that she had a Service Dog, Wink Wink. This was by far a service dog. No Service dog sits on the Bench next to you and is fed from the table. The Waitress even asked to Pet the Dog. Sure glad she was not our Waitress as I doubt she went and immediately washed her hands. This is totally unacceptable. The other issue was that 3 regular Breakfasts, One Child Breakfast, a Coffee and 2 Hot Chocolates was $ 66? My Son’s Breakfast was $ 4, so Not sure what the deal was there. The Food was OK, though not $ 66OK. I will not be going back.

First impression… in the parking lot the restrooms are outside in what looks like a falling down building. If you are always cold, you’ll freeze once you go in. We went in November. I was FREEZING. BUT The food was great. Decently priced, but don’t add chili to an omelette they charge $ 6 extra. But good greasy breakfast. Our bill for $ 35 for two breakfasts, one soda and a hot tea. Second visit on our way out of town. Good food again. However, I won’t be back. The owner was sitting on a stool the whole time critiquing her staff. She did not treat them well. At one point she banged two knives together to get the dishwashers attention(who seemed to be bossing around no other employees, so maybe co-owner?) to let her know the knives were dirty. She could have got off her rear and went back and had a quiet conversation. SMH

Good food. A little pricey.(Like the rest of town.) But the décor does not match the price. Wanted to like it more.

Loved my breakfast. They have BBQ also. I had the breakfast burrito and it was well seasoned. Home fries are delicioso! Crispy and loads of potatoie goodness. We sat at the lunch bar the cooking area is utilitarian but neat and clean. Very sweet and pleasant service. Got a new brunch place that is homey and not over priced.

This is a difficult review to make, because while our waitress was so incredibly pleasant and helpful, everything else was just awful. The café was basically empty while we were there, and yet the food was very slow to come, had a lot of mistakes and really wasn’t great. Our side of fries had a high price tag but was laughably small. The bathroom is in a sort of dingy hut that you have to leave the building and go through the parking lot to get to. The door didn’t lock, there was no soap, the towel dispenser was broken. It took us about 20 minutes to figure out our check(we never did, because the total was wrong) but we basically said«Whatever,» and let it go. We still gave the waitress a large tip because she was great. Everything else was just depressing.

I used to go here fairly often with my family as a child, but until my last visit, had not been in 15+ years. I’m not sure if my childhood standards were just low, or if the place has gone way downhill. Service was friendly, but slow and full of mistakes. The place was not busy, but it took an ungodly amount of time to receive any food, which was mediocre at best. Side dish portions were insultingly small for the price. The check was also barely decipherable and the total was wrong, but we’d been sitting there way too long to argue the point.

Small diners operated by locals are my favorite. They gave my kiddo toys to play with. The food was so pretty I took pictures of it. Decently priced, not too swanky, just a typical diner nothing more nothing less.

Ordered a typical breakfast burrito and a tofu scramble. The burrito was passable but the tofu scramble was one of the most disgusting dish I ever had. Tofu completely charred and floating in salty teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki sauce? Really? We asked the waitress if there’s anything else they can do about this, she said they can make another one with no teriyaki sauce. Then the manager came over and said, is there anything else we can do to make you happy? I thought that was kind of a weird question to ask. Anyways, I asked if I could just skip everything, just 2 hard boiled eggs will be fine, but she insisted on making us a vegetable scramble, said it was really good, and that we must try. Dish comes, oh my god, soggy spinach and mushroom in watery and oily eggs. It was unsightly. I am still shocked by what they served. I would give them no stars if that is possible. One more little thing, the cups taste like detergent. It’s a minor issue relative to their food.

I really, really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes with a side of their home made salsa. WOW it was good. AND, filling. I had that with a fruit cup and found myself stuffed and happy. Doesn’t get much better than that. I sat outside on a Monday morning, read the paper, munched on the potatoes and watched Healdsburg slowly awaken. Great morning; great breakfast. I’ll return.

Went there on Sunday August 24, 2014 for the first time for brunch. I had heard of this restaurant as having the Texas-style chili like Ingram’s Chili Bowl used to have before it closed(it was on the north end of Santa Rosa on the old Redwood Highway). Two of the waitresses/owners worked at Ingram’s…hadn’t seen them in years! I used to eat there all the time… killer dishes like«The El Dorado» open-face chili burger, and«Eggs in the Red», eggs smothered in chili… so going to Single Tree was a real treat to see if in fact the chili the have is anything like Ingram’s used to have. I had«Eggs in the Red», 2 eggs over easy smothered in chili with the home fry potatoes, onions and a side of bacon extra crispy. My wife had Bisquits and Gravy and her friend had the french toast. The chili was fantastic! Very close to the Ingram’s flavor and consistency I remembered so well(Gosh! I missed it for long!) but no after-meal heartburn like I used to get from Ingram’s. Bacon was delicious and done exactly like I asked. My wife and friend’s breakfast also excellent. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Got a table right away, coffee and water brought promptly. Food came quickly given the crowd there. We can’t wait to go back now ! And a big high-five for the chili ala Ingram’s Chili Bowl! Can’t wait to go back !
